The Neighborhood:
Ponsonby is frequently named on the ‘coolest neighbourhoods in Auckland’ lists, and not without reason.

The area is famous for its multitude of innovative and creative dining spots. For great mediterranean flavour visit Lokanta on Richmond Road, or pop down to Ponsonby Road for your pick of hip bars and restaurants. It does get busy (especially over the weekend) so make sure to make a booking beforehand!

If you’re after shopping, you won’t be disappointed with Ponsonby’s offering. Unique and stylish boutiques, local designers, and upmarket homewares fill the streets. There are also some great quirky souvenir and gift stores (for example Iko Iko), for something a bit different to bring back home.

Ponsonby also has great public transportation links. Catch the Inner Link or Outer Link , which run every 10 minutes, to get to Britomart or the CBD.

Nearby attractions
• Ponsonby Road holds dozens of bars and restaurants

Getting Around:
Walk to Ponsonby (5 mins), downtown/Britomart (15mins). Driving or Uber is a good way to get around.

Other Things to Note:
Please note: this is a heritage three-level villa built in early 1900s and there can potentially be some noise from other tenants. We have taken all possible soundproofing precautions, however, wooden floors do mean there can be noise from guests on other levels from time-to-time. Thanks for understanding!

If you require parking for more than one vehicle no worries! Please note a $5 charge will be imposed per business day per additional vehicle.

Attending a Course
We had stayed upstairs the previous year but this flat was more spacious with a great outdoor seating area and a great kitchen. The bathroom was attached to a bedroom which was a bit annoying but we coped. We hope to come back next year.

Mixed bag
Although everything about the flat was wonderful, and the amenities were great, the main problem is the noise from the upstairs flat, caused by inconsiderate occupants, which we experienced over two weekends. This is the only reason we would not stay again.

Inner city getaway
Somewhat bureaucratic booking process but worth it in the end. Very handy to Ponsonby Road and inner Auckland. Exceptionally well equipped kitchen. TV is digital only so have your passwords handy. Single bathroom is ensuite to one of the bedrooms so a little awkward for two couples. Heaps of indoor living space and private deck.

A perfect city apartment
This property is better than the photographs would suggest. Everything is in great working order, the kitchen is the best equipped that we have come across recently, the furnishings were extremely clean and relatively new and the bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. We stayed for over five weeks, during lockdown 2020 and loved the space and the light. And there’s a great surprise waiting for you when you go out on the rear terrace. Enjoy your stay.
