Melbourne Fitzroy Terrace boasts a charming, stylish 2 Bedroom Victorian Terrace in Fitzroy North. Renovated 2022, all photos accurately represent the property as it is today. Only 2.9km from Melbourne Museum and 4km from the city centre. Fitzroy North & Fitzroy are arguably one of the BEST inner-city suburbs in Melbourne. Anyone that knows Melbourne loves Fitzroy! It's edgy, funky and has loads of creative atmosphere. Fitzroy has awesome street art, the laneways, the art galleries, funky shops, live music, bars and endless choices of cafes and restaurants. All of this makes it the coolest place in Melb.

The property boasts a light filled dining room, a fully equipped kitchen and butlers pantry, dishwasher, and oven. It's perfectly positioned with a northern aspect, boasting 2 large Velux skylights making it a home with so much happiness and light. There is a sun filled outdoor patio with a large tree for shade and gorgeous outdoor dining setting.

Every room has a brand new air conditioner and heating system. It's important when choosing accomodation in Melbourne to ensure the property has heating and cooling in each room. It's also important to choose properties that are a few minutes walk to transport and food supplies for ease and convenience.

Within a 1 min walk from the house, there are cafes, restaurants, MCoppins gourmet deli, grocery, butcher, fruit shops, metro Woolworths, beauty salon, retail shopping, basically, everything you need to ensure convenience and ease at your doorstep. The popular Edinburgh Gardens are a 5-minute walk.

Public transport is less than 1-minute walk; tram 86 is known as the 'Melbourne Street Art Tram'. This tram also goes to Melbourne's City Centre, Waterfront Docklands Shopping Centre and the infamous Retro/Arty Smith St and Gertrude St. Here you can walk along the cobbled street lanes and discover street art, galleries, retro shops, cafes, restaurants, bars and live music.

Tram number 11 is about a 6 min walk from the house and takes you along trendy Brunswick Street in Fitzroy, with its cool rooftop bars, street art, live bands, cafes, restaurants, and loads of arty shops. Also, tram 11 takes you to the Paris end of Melbourne, which is Collin st.

A free parking permit is available upon request; this allows you to park directly outside the property.

There are designer brand shops & factory outlets nearby in Collingwood & Fitzroy (3 tram stops away on tram 86). In the other direction only a few minutes tram ride you will be at trendy High st Northcote and the Westgarth cafes, restaurants, bars and live music precinct. Westgarth cinema, Melbourne University, Melbourne Zoo. Melbourne CBD, Melbourne Central, Bourke Street Mall, Queen Victoria Shopping Centre and Docklands Shopping Centre all within at tram ride.

Great location and great home

We really enjoyed our stay. The home is well equipped and located in a perfect neighborhood. The tram to get anywhere else in Melbourne stops right at our corner. Convenient shops around the corner and the restaurant across the street became our favorite stop for breakfast - hard to beat. If we return to Melbourne, we would hope to stay here again.

Home sweet home

My son, puppy and I stayed in this gorgeous house for 3 weeks and couldn’t be happier. Vivian was an incredible host, so accommodating and just all round lovely! The house itself is exactly as advertised, super comfortable, exceptionally clean and is in a wonderful location. We felt like we were home the minute we arrived. Would thoroughly recommend for a short or long stay, you’ll love the house and you’ll love Vivian!

Fantastic property in a terrific neighborhood!

Cannot say enough great things about this VRBO! We stayed for 8 nights over Christmas 2022 and had a wonderful time. The space itself is beautiful and very well cared for. Very convenient to have 2 separate bedrooms, dishwasher, washer & dryer plus patio space. Quiet and clean! We loved the neighborhood - the #86 tram stop that goes into CBD (comes every 8 min or so and takes 20-25 min to get to most CBD destinations) was right across the street and there were many terrific places to eat in the area. There were several stores nearby that made it super easy to pick up food items. We have young kids and especially appreciated the parks and playgrounds nearby. Vivian was super helpful and very communicative. If we are ever back in Melbourne, I would stay here again in a second. Highly recommend it!

Home away from home

This terrace home is not only well equipped and lovely it is in a fabulous location. Near to parks, shops and cafes. The host is so welcoming, caring and accommodating. I’ll be returning to stay here for certain.

Lovely Stay in North Fitzroy

We stayed at the gorgeous North Fitzroy Cottage for over a week and absolutely loved it! The location is fantastic with great coffee shops literally at your door step and the choice of either a tram or train easily accessible. Vivian made sure that all the comforts were taken care of (and the welcome chocolates were a lovely touch). The cottage is tastefully renovated and the courtyard was beautiful to sit out in the warm sunny mornings reading the paper. We have never stayed in a cleaner property - it was sparkling! I would thoroughly recommend this property for a couple or a family of 4 and we will be back for sure! Thank you so much Vivian for making the stay in Melbourne an enjoyable one.

Excellent Property

If experiencing Melbourne’s unique culture, it’s fabulous street art, its endless cafes and restaurants is an experience you want, then you must stay at this amazing house and location. The Melbourne Fitzroy Terrace is perfect in so many ways. The house is superbly decorated and renovated; yet it retains its old charm and history from the 1880's. It’s exactly like the pictures on the website. Fitzroy North is a hidden gem, only a few minutes away from the bustling hip and funky Fitzroy. North of Fitzroy is beautiful with wide tree lined streets and period charming houses; the popular Edinburgh gardens and the friendly village shops are all only a few mins walk. You have the best public transport in this area; there’s tram 86 which is a one minute walk and within 4 tram stops (or 10-15 min walk), you will be transported to the popular funky Smith st and trendy Getrude st Fitzroy (we loved these areas,they are probably the coolest places in Melbourne for street art, live music, bars and every cuisine restaurant you desire). Take your time to walk the lanes and streets and see the street art, it’s magic. This tram also takes you directly to the City and Docklands Waterfront. There’s also tram 11 which goes through trendy Brunswick st, Fitzroy; here you will find more restaurants, rooftop bars and shops. There’s a train station close by if you need it. Parking is not a problem, you can park right in front of the house. Vivian the owner is passionate about Melbourne and wants her guests to get the best out of Melbourne. She asks lots of questions to find out what you want from your trip and then tailors your trip to suit your needs. Whether you're in Melbourne for business or pleasure she'll maximise your time. Vivian has lived in Melbourne all her life; she's a foodie and walking encyclopaedia of Melbourne sites and things to do. She even drove us around for an introductory tour when we arrived. I believe this is one of the best accommodations and locations to stay in Melbourne! Thank you Vivian, you deserve my time to write such a long review, you made our trip so memorable! We will definitely be back!
