The Clifton Beach House is a contemporary and modern home in a lush tropical setting just a short stroll from the golden sand at Clifton Beach. Designed over one level, five generous bedrooms accommodate a maximum of 10 guests. This beautiful Cairns holiday house is ideally located just a 20 minute drive north of the Cairns International airport and is a popular choice for Clifton Beach accommodation.
Designed for the tropical North Queensland lifestyle, the Clifton Beach House features an open plan kitchen, dining and living area which open on to a timber deck. Rather than cutting trees down to make space for this deck, the deck has been designed around the central Melaleuca tree to provide a wonderful living sculpture! It looks fantastic when lit up at night time.

Great property for a family holiday with young kids! It's a short 3 min walk to the beach/playground, fence around the pool, spacious living room, and TVs in each bedroom.

Disappointing
The property was advertised as 5 bedrooms with a/c and Tv. It was disappointing that property manager was aware that a/c and Tv not working in 1 b/r but did not tell us or offer a reduced $$ rate. This meant 1 person had to sleep on couch in lounge. Fan in room not sufficient for humidity and heat. On arrival house was not cleaned properly, previous renter food in fridge, kitchen bin not empty, floors not clean especially ensuite bathroom, couch cushions were dirty and were put aside, bbq left dirty and we had to buy cleaning brush before could be used. Other minor issues were dealt with. The layout of house and space was great, the experience disappointing.
Unfortunately there were problems with the power so there was no power for half a day and then workers with trucks running were in the substations outside the house for the following days. They were very loud, to the point of where you could not hear other people speak.
The toilet seat needs to be put on the toilet so it is straight. You feel like you are about to slide off it as it currently is.
Otherwise - great location and great space.

A little underwhelming
Overall the accommodation was satisfactory for our stay. It is in a good location between Cairns and Port Douglas. We had a party of 8 adults and 1 child. There was plenty of bedding and room for everyone with TV's in every bedroom which was enjoyed by the teenagers/young adults. The kitchen was well maintained with everything you need to prepare meals etc. Unfortunately the pool was largely unusable due to the massive amount of leaves the trees were dropping into the pool and outside area. Took 15 minutes just to sweep leaves out of pool and in surrounding area. The house lacked personality or warmth and need some maintenance.
