A beautiful home. Lots of space for all 12 of us to spend time together. Great idea to have two living areas. An awesome kitchen to cook in. The bedrooms were large enough for each adult to sleep in. Another fantastic idea in this whare that there are 5.1/2 bathrooms. The spa was amazing to soak your aches and pains. The beach was a 5-minute walk. We were allowed to use the bikes, and boogie boards and the whiteboard came in handy for our planning. The TV was used to cast our minutes and then we could relax and watch Netflix. Overall thank you the host Jason.
A beautiful home with so much space to fit our extended family for a lovely stay. It was super warm and cosy on a cold winter weekend. Everything that you could think of and more has already been taken care of with so many games and activities that are available for use. We thoroughly enjoyed our time.
This is the second time our leadership team has stayed at this house and it's perfect for our offsite strategy workshop and such a beautiful house. Very easy booking and check-in/check-out process. We would definitely stay here again.
The property was outstanding and plenty of rooms and space for a large group.
The fire outside was wonderful for roasting marshmallows and hanging out together as a family.
We loved the location thanks
Three adult families staying with plenty room for all. The house had everything you need and more. Lovely relaxing indoor spa, for all weathers. We toasted s’mores on the outdoor fireplace with the kids. Short walk to a beautiful beach. Would definitely recommend and go back
House had space for family being together and space for being apart. All the mod cons. Table tennis, trampoline and spa a real plus. Local superette and cafe excellent. Lots to do in surrounding area. Very helpful property manager. Great stay!
This is a quality property in its own right and a rare bach that can actually host the number it advertsises - when the adults are not related and not sharing the beds. There are plenty of spaces for people to spread out and great kitchen and hospitality options. Recreation activities are well catered for both outdoors and inside the house.

Great property, terrible property management.
Property manager needs to get better customer service, place lives up to the hype others have mentioned as a great place for multi families, no A/C throughout, just one small bedroom leaving others to cook
On a visit back home I booked this home for me and my siblings families. Told the manager on the day of that we may have someone check in around 12 as it was available for early check in he said no worries just let him know a half hour before arriving. No one arrived at 12 because everyone has kids and I my brother arrived around 3-4 manager wasn’t pleased saying he had been waiting around for us all and was abrassive.
Once in the property it was a great set up and a perfect place for families. Everyone loved the place and their stay. A couple things to think about though. There is only A/C in one bedroom at the back of the house not the whole house so this was a little misleading, the worst was the largest bedroom at the front of the house is like a greenhouse and gets absolutely cooking. Together with the upstairs in general. Don't plan on ventilating unless you do it just right because we ended up with over 100 mosquitos in our room trying to cool it down.
We used some of the food supplies in the house only to find that most were well expired by a few years and there weevils in the flour so plan to bring every single thing you need to eat.
The washing machine died at the start of the stay trying to wash a towel. Started filling and then stopped didn't even get to a wash cycle, first thing the manager said to me after I was politely just giving him a heads up (as it wasn’t a huge deal for us as we were only there for a few days) if we find out you broke it you’ll be paying for it. Not even a sorry about that we’ll get someone out there ASAP. I let him know it didn't even get to a wash cycle it was only filling at the time and just stopped and gave an error code. But he was still adamant it was probably my fault so I just stopped talking to him and went about the rest of the trip. So we never had a working washing machine
If I was the owner of this property I would want different property management, customer service was terrible. I rent my own property and if I have issues with anything there, the first thing is to apologize and let them know I’ll get it fixed and then after thats done figure out the cause. I would rather book elsewhere next time and wouldn’t choose this property again due to A/C and property manager.
We needed a large home with plenty of room for our extended family to stay in over the weekend of a wedding at Matakana It was a lovely home to stay in - well supplied with all you need to have 4 couples. Thoroughly recommend it but do notice there is no linen provided.
