About this property

Pink Gums Farmstay - Farmstay Homestead

This is a Farmhouse with all the feels of comfy homestead. The house was built approx 80 years ago by the farmers family. The big solid walls, are laid concrete by the farmer and his young son, from the materials on the property. It has recently been rewired and fully re plumbed all to make safe and usable. The floorboards are all sanded and polished and a new lick of paint has made the property fresh and inviting. The property was originally a dairy and has the original ruins of the old homesteads and dairy buildings from generations before.
The property is now used for cattle and sheep and crops and is about 1000 acres. It is boarded by currency creek which flows with crystal clear water from spring all year round, which is a wondrous track to hike around and enjoy beautiful views of the inlets and creeks to the lower lakes.
The farmhouse is surrounded by huge pine trees and gums, and there is an easy access turn around driveway and plenty of parking.
The property is only a short distance from Goolwa , Middleton and Victor Harbor.
In the future the plans are to have a veggie garden for tenants to pick from and chickens and ducks and small animals to associate with. There are cattle with calves and sheep in the neighboring paddocks.
We have invited for you to bring your dog along but at this stage they will have to be tethered at all times so they do not escape and interfere with stock. This is for their safety as well. The pets are not allowed inside the house.

Amazing country views
JM Disability Supports took a group of young men with disabilities to this wonderful farm stay. We had terrific views of the hiils and it was wonderful to look out from the kitchen window to see cows grazing. So surreal. Beautiful furnishings and comfy beds. We will definately be back.

Lovely Farm House
We enjoyed sitting by the fire to relax and made the kids watch some old movies as they couldn’t get internet on their phones 🤣 The Location was great being a short drive into Goolwa and riding the Cockle Train was a highlight of our trip.

Plenty of room with no privacy
Very Nice house clean inside, though lots of cob webs in outdoor area lots of potential if the time was taken to give it a good clean House was very hot during the hot weather due to no aircon Owners came in and out of property on occasion and took our bottles which was probably unnecessary and made the stay slightly uncomfortable.

A slice of rural delight
Kym went out of his way to support our stay, allowing us to use the home as a base for relaxation and fantastic short wave radio reception site too where we set up a temporary amateur radio station for the weekend. Thank you for accommodating our unusual request.

Wonderful Weekend
Pink Gumz is a wonderful farm stay. A stones throw away from the main town of Goolwa, allowing great accessibility to local restaurants and breweries. There was also barely any flies around the property and we also saw a calf in the main fields. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an authentic farming feel with the creature comforts of city living.

Great farm stay property. Close enough to Goolwa and Victor Harbor yet far enough away to relax.
Lovely old cottage. Was great that there was electric blankets and small heaters to use. My boys loved the Xbox. We met the one of the owners and he was very friendly and let the boys help him feed the pigs.

Lovely property
Lots of little extras added and plenty of wood for the fire. Kids & adults enjoyed the freedom of wandering around the property and looking at some of the small old buildings on site. Would definitely go again.

Great farm stay
We had such a great relaxing weekend. The house is something special and catered to all our needs. The fire place gave a comfortable temperature to the house, in spite of it being cold outside. The farm is beautiful and close enough to towns and attractions to fill your days. Definitely a place to keep in mind for a couple's, family or friends breakaway.
