Escape to the mountains and relax in this magnificent Colorado log home that has everything for a perfect mountain getaway. Only 9 miles/15 minute drive from Main St Breckenridge and the world class ski area, Pine Forest Lodge has room for the whole family to spread out and enjoy beautiful views in the quiet forest.

Enter the main level from the garage into the huge great room with a floor-to-ceiling stone gas fireplace, a piano for our musical guests and a dining room with ample seating which opens to a beautiful and well stocked kitchen. There is a master bedroom on this level with a king bed, sitting area with queen sleeper sofa, flat screen TV and the en suite bathroom has an oversized jetted tub and separate shower.

Down one level is the perfect space for gathering with a private 8 seat movie theater with quite a collection of movies, a large comfortable sitting area, a pool table, a wet bar, and another cozy fireplace. From this level is access to the large deck for relaxing, grilling or soaking in the hot tub after the day's adventures. There are 4 bedrooms on this level along with 3 bathrooms. Three of the bedrooms have king beds and then there is a bunk room with a twin over twin bunk with an additional twin bed with twin trundle as well. All of the bedrooms have flat screen Roku televisions.

The top level has a private loft space which offers a twin bed with a twin trundle and a balcony.

Fall in love with Breckenridge

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We could not have planned our vacation to Breckenridge at a better time or at a better place! The fall colors from the aspens were absolutely stunning, and Pine Forest Lodge was just minutes from some of the best trail heads. Our family of 9 (7 adults 2 toddlers) loved all the room the home had and we had pool tournaments just about every evening. We also took advantage of the hot tub soaking sore muscles after our hikes. We saw a fox, chipmunks, squirrels, and two moose all from the huge dining room window. We had a couple of small hiccups with the house but the management group was quick to respond and resolve. We would definitely stay at Pine Forest Lodge again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to family and friends.

Pine Forest Lodge

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the home was just "okay". When we got there the house was not very clean and the hot tub did not work. There was popcorn all over the floor in the theatre room and we found dirty ski socks on the floor in the downstairs master bedroom. The home was also lacking amenities. We were there for 7 days and we were given tiny hotel bottles of shampoo and conditioner....don't even provide salt and pepper. The mattresses and bedding are awful and old. The home itself is very big a spacious, but very old and could use a remodel. We have been coming to Breck the last 16 years and this was by far the most expensive home we've stayed at and it definitely offered the least. We would not recommend this home to others. We have stayed at much nicer for a lot less.

Beautiful home

We loved the location outside of Breckenridge and saw deer and a moose in the mornings. We received a text upon arrival letting us know how to contact them should we have any issues. We texted once and they promptly replied. The home was cleaned somewhat upon arrival. We found sunglasses on a nightstand, tools in the theater room on the floor and chip crumbs on one of the comforters. In addition, there were cobwebs on the lamps and was very dusty. For the amount we paid for renting this home and cleaning fees, this was inadequate cleaning and made us question how thoroughly the sheets and towels were being cleaned. The kitchen was stocked well as we cooked a lot of our meals for our group of 12. I would make the suggestion of having washcloths in the kitchen because there were not any to wipe down the counters with. We had a great time and lots of memories were made here.

11,000’ Elevation. Otherwise, terrific.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was clean and well maintained. However, coming from sea level the elevation (11000) was much too high and a few of us got really sick. This should have been communicated prior so I took off a star. We typically stay in Dillon or Silverthorne, which is about 1500-2000’ lower and this group felt fine. So just consider that into your acclimatization plans. The hot tub was hot. The cabin was secluded which helped the experience feel more intimate. Kitchen was adequate but lacking some utensils/pots/pans, which is typical in rentals. The ambiance of the wooden cabin was terrific. We enjoyed the pool table and theater room.

Amazing Cozy Cabin!

It was just 15-20 min from downtown Breck...it felt remote in the mountains but also very accessible. Very high elevation so remember to pack oxygen to help you acclimate. Everything was cozy, clean, and perfect! We loved sitting by the fire upstairs looking out the views. We really enjoyed gathering as a family in the evenings to watch Christmas movies in the movie theater room. the wifi worked perfectly which was great because there was no service out there. The hot tub was amazing and gets serviced every couple of days. It is the perfect getaway for a big family!

Beautiful home and location, in desperate need of a deep clean.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home was extremely dirty upon our arrival. Dust everywhere and confetti left over from people who had stayed there. It did not appear the floors had been swept or vacuumed. The beds were clean but not very comfortable. The kitchen is not well equipped. The pots and pans are old and not in good shape and cups and plates are all chipped and cracked. The location is great (however very high up but they were up front about that). Plenty of room for large groups. Beautiful home. However for the amount paid for this rental, the cleanliness was unacceptable.

Cozy and spacious home

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home is very accommodating for big families gathering for a holiday vacation. A lot of areas where to be entertained and to be very comfortably for all ages. The entrance street from the highway 9 to make the turn to where the home is located can be very dangerous and slippery in snowy weather if you’re not driving a 4x4 vehicle. There’s very little to no lighting when driving up and down the mountain to get back from Breckinridge to the home and some of the curves are steep. It is a little hidden in the mountain which gives it a lot of privacy. We were able to see moose and other animals walking right infront of our windows in the early morning, it was spectacular. The rooms were all very clean and they provided towels and extra pillows, blankets, heaters and humidifiers. Our family came from sea level and getting adjusted to the altitude of this location was a little uncomfortable. So be prepared to pack some medication for altitude sickness & headaches if you’re not used to 9,000 plus altitude level. Nonetheless, the location of the home is beautiful & it provides a lot of areas to have fun, even outside we were able to have some fun in the snow sliding down the slopes around it; the owners provided some sleighs in the garage that we were able to use. Thanks for everything!

Great Weekend Getaway Destination

Great Mountain House

This beautiful mountain home met our expectations for our family getaway. Lots of space for everybody to spread out. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook our own meals. Services came as promised: Hot Tub cleaner and snow plower (thankfully since we stayed just after the historical snow storm). Views were spectacular and no neighbors were in sight. My only feedback are small things: -Please provide a new, wrapped sponge and new dish soap bottle for each new guest. -Provide a new hand soap bottle in each of the bathrooms. -There were no extra pillows or "bed in a bag" for the pull out sofas that we could find. Two words of caution: 1. The house is at 11,000ft elevation and most of us suffered from some form of altitude sickness (one person had to go home after a day). 2. Be very careful when turning off the main road up from Breckinridge into the driveway when there is snow build up on the side of the road. It's hard to see the driveway in snowy conditions and I thought Waze was telling us to turn left which would have been off the side of a cliff. The driveway is across the 30MPH sign you see on the right coming up from Breck.

Beautiful Cabin
