Off-peak (May to Sep) stay 7 nights for the price of 2 nights!

Perfect for a family get away Dare Escape Beach House is ideally located in a quiet location in old ocean grove, close to everything: a cute dog friendly café around the corner, a short 8 minute walk to Ocean Grove beach or 3 minute walk to the river, and cafes and shops close by. This home sleeps 10, so ideal for one or two families, is child and dog friendly, with a secure yard.

With its clever and practical design of two living spaces, a big deck, Wifi, TVs and guests love that there is plenty of room for everyone, providing a relaxed, no-fuss and comfortable holiday.

We also offer full refunds if your booking is cancelled due to Victorian Covid metro or regional restrictions.

Dare Beach House has 4 bedrooms, accommodating up to 10 guests. There are queen beds in three bedrooms, and the 4th bedroom two sets of double bunks. The bedrooms are supported by two bathrooms. Linen is provided and towels can be booked at an additional cost.

The practical kitchen is well fitted out with crockery, cutlery, glasses, dishwasher and microwave. There are two separate living areas with WiFi, TV, DVD, air conditioning/ heating unit, and outside there is a gas BBQ and outdoor furniture.

This is a great beach house for a short week-end stay or an extended holiday break.

Dare Beach House is also a great location to explore nearby Barwon Heads, wineries and other attractions of the Bellarine or the Great Ocean Road.

A home away from home.
This holiday house was the absolute best! The 4 bedrooms gave the kids the space to chill out after spending too much family time together. The beach was so close you could hear it. Two living areas meant that the kids could play the Switch while I watched movies. The beds were comfortable, and the bedrooms were clean. Two toilets with so many bums in one house were very convenient. The location of the house was prime position, close to shops, Coles and the RSL (which had amazing meals and family friendly). The variety of games, books and DVDs was amazing. Even introduced the kids to some older board games which I hadn't seen in years. The main living room had plenty of space for us all to have a movie night and the couches comfortable. The outdoor area was secure for our dog and the fake grass was awesome for the kids to play barefoot. This whole week was fantastic and I will definitely be booking again in the future.

great place for a family holiday
we wanted a place for our adult children to join us for a holiday. this place was fantastic for the following reasons- great central location, generous spaces for all of us and two living rooms and two bathrooms - really helpful for the six adults in our party. house is very well stocked with everything you could need and has space for dining and relaxing both inside and outside. Beds and couches are very comfortable and this property is an easy walk to shops , river and beach. communication with the host was excellent and entry to the property simple. This is a warm, comfortable holiday property with ample space to relax while exploring all the area has to offer.

It was perfect for three generations of famiily. The two sitting rooms meant we could spread out and the little garden was safe and private for the little ones. We loved the close proximity of the beach and river.

The place is clean and everthing you need is on hand, close to shops and city centre. The area is quiet and great for family bonding. Outside area is secure and can let your furry family roam around.

Simple Beach Living
We stayed for a week after Easter 2024 having previously stayed in 2023. Weather was not kind but we still managed some beach time. Property is well located - under15 min walk to beach or 10 min to city centre. Two bathrooms and toilets along with two lounge areas made for easy family living. Crockery and cookware is fine for simple meals but not for serious cooking. A modest home, secure yard, makes for a relaxing holiday.

Great location great for large family and dogs. Grass was very long at side of house could do with a bit of an update with furniture inside but comfortable. Kitchen cupboards very cluttered not much room for food storage for family for 4 days. Outdoor furniture bit rusted could be updated. Overall clean and suited us with family wedding locally.

Our Second Stay
This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this property and not only is the location ideal being close to the surf beach and main shopping strip but the property is ideal for a larger family and it is set back with a private yard where you can securely park multiple vehicles and has plenty of space for our furry friend to run around in.

The property is in an excellent location. Close to the beach and shops without being too close. Its very private, all rooms a good size and the kitchen well-appointed. Everything you need. We had an awesome time with family - at one stage three adult couples plus children. We also had two dogs, and the yard is very secure. The house is light, airy and very comfortable. We wouldnt hesitate to book a getaway here again. Thanks!

Short Stoll to Beach and Shops
Great beachhouse. Quite rustic so you could relax but very comfortable. Excellent location, walked to beach, shops, easy cycle to Barwon Heads. Everything worked well. Comfy beds. Air con in main areas and fans in every other room in wardrobes. Great to have a second lounge and outdoor space for sitting and BBQ. Nice street and very quiet. Would love to stay again!
