Beautiful 3 bedrooms condo overlooking the gulf of Mexico with direct access to the beach with a large balcony looking at the largest swimming pool in Galveston. The resort has lots of amenities such as a lazy river, outdoor swimming pool, indoor pool, hot tubs, movie theatre, wine room, bar, spa, state of the art gymnasium, game room, business center with apple computers and children room.

The suite is beautifully decorated with comfortable furniture and nice art. The kitchen is well equipped. There are 4 flat screen TVs. The beds in 2 rooms are queen size, 2 twin beds in the third room. The living room has a queen size sleeper sofa. The condo can accommodate up to 7 people.

Perfect place for families or couples seeking a resort style vacation in a historic town. The condo is available in the summer for daily to weekly rental and monthly in the winter as well.

Ironman

We were in town for the Ironman race and stayed here. Great property and wonderful amenities. Owner communicated well and was very gracious. Overall very quick to respond when we asked questions. Definitely recommend.

Perfect!

Awesome host. Had to reschedule original booking due to Hurricane Beryl. Our host was so easy to work with!!! Everything we needed. Very quick response times whenever I had a question before the trip. We look forward to staying again.

Clean unit but will not stay again

This was our second stay at the Diamond Beach resort. This unit was clean, however we were not notified that the main pool was closed until the day before our visit. It would have been nice to know that ahead of time so that we could make other arrangements or reschedule. We should have been offered a discount or something because the main pool is the highlight of the resort. This unit did not allow for main lights to be turned on, we were to only the use of lamps. The living room furniture was not comfortable for our family gathering of a movie night. We could not sit out on the balcony due to the removal of the cushions on the outdoor chairs. The water in the bathrooms trickled and was not hot. The instructions said to run the water for several minutes yet it did not get hot. There was also a lack of washcloths in the bathrooms. The water dispenser in the refrigerator did not work. Diamond Beach resort is a beautiful establishment. We plan to stay again but not in this unit.

Condo nice, property maintenance is lacking for the $

The HOA needs to be assertive with the management company. The elevator was broke, the ice machine was broke, most of the water amenities were not usable, there was no swim up bar, cascading waterfall or hot tubs. The condo was nice, it does have a issue with hot water, a slow draining bathtub and the water dispenser in the frig. It wasn't the resort setting I was expecting.

Beautiful Beach Condo.

Communication from host was great. Property was very clean and well stocked. Location was great, just a short walk to the beach and property had lots of amenities. Very close to all the restaurants and activities on the island. I would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Last Minute

Our family was originally in a different unit within the same property. We had so many issues with the first unit we had to find another unit so we hopped onto to VRBO and found this one. We were able to compare, of course, and this unit far exceeded our expectations. The only feedback I would give if you are a future guest is to make sure you have beach towels and/or beach equipment because there is little of that type stuff provided. It does state that in the managers listing, but beach towels are not always easy to pack and bring as they are large and take a lot of space in luggage. Having a half dozen or so available in the unit would have made it much easier. Otherwise, super clean, super easy, well decorated. etc....

Paid too much to take cold showers.

Stayed in mid April. Instructions said run all the faucets on hot for 4 minutes. Still no hot water. Its ok if its summer and washing sand and sunblock off, but it was chilly weather in April. Evan after following the instructions posted in the shower and check in instructions, no hot water and if it came on it was just for a very short time. Just get a new hot water heater element or a recirculating pump. Other than the cold showers, it was the best!

Pool Fun

Great property. Very clean, comfortable. Wish a few more toys for the kids. (would have brought a few) all though they wouldn't get out of the pool. Slide was closed, they were sad but quickly got over it..... Will be back!!

Great for Families

This was a very nice condo. The entire area is very clean, the staff were professional and helpful. Maddie was wonderful to work with, she sent us all the information we needed for check in a couple of days before our trip, which was nice. She was also quick to respond to any questions and concerns we had. We traveled with our 17 year old son and his 16 year old friend, the boys had plenty to keep them entertained. They were able to go workout while there, keeping up with their football routines. We all enjoyed the pools and it was a short stroll to the beach. Shopping, entertainment and dining was convenient and easy to get to. Definitely recommend going to the Naval Museum and taking the ferry to Crystal Beach and parasailing at Third Coast! Highly recommend this condo when coming to Galveston Island.

Loved it

We had an amazing stay. The kitchen was well stocked and supplies were plenty. It was so nice to have plenty of trash bags, toilet paper, and cleaning supplies. The view is amazing from this room. Only thing missing was larger storage containers for watermelon or other items. I would book this place again.

Nice unit but there were issues

The pictures of the condo are on spot. Very nice, comfortable beds and plenty of room. The issues we had were - walked in and it was hot, commode in one of the bathrooms did not work, the refrigerator was not turned down low enough to keep items cold (had to adjust), no hot water in showers, only one elevator working for the entire complex and the lazy river was full of sand, leaves, trash. We arrived on Sunday and by Monday morning the lazy river evidently had been cleaned. That's where we spend most of our time. Have stayed at Diamond Beach many times but for the price we paid - wouldn't want this unit again.

We have stayed at multiple properties and by far this condo had the best equipped bathrooms and kitchen that we have ever encountered. Breathtaking views of the ocean. Comfortable and functionable balcony furniture.

No AC during a heat advisory

The only negative thing I have To say about my stay was that it was 97-100 degrees the weekend I stayed and there was absolutely no AC. We tried cooking dinner and had to stop and buy box fans that was $75. My mother in law ended up driving back to Houston because she could not stand the heat. It was literally 83 degrees in the condo. My 13 year kept going in the hall to get some cool air. What made matters worse Was that we had our 5 month old and she cried the whole time we were trying to get her to sleep. We did contact the owner at which he noted that he would have someone look at it the next day which of course didn’t help us any. The next day at checkout, we were all drenched in sweat. The 2 housekeepers informed us that they had told the owner about the AC the previous week. I did email the owner back and all he offered me and my family was $100 back on my original $1600 stay. I explained that to him that We literally bought 3 box fans that was $75. If you do stay here, I would suggest it in the winter to avoid what we went through

Perfect location for relaxing family stay

Condo was very clean and had everything we needed. Great view from balcony of pool, seawall, ocean and beach. Kids loved the pool and lazy river. It was relaxing and never very busy. Beach just a short walk from the back of the property. We did beach and pool time every day. Slide was not working and swim up bar was not open except Friday/Saturday until around 5pm, but that wasn't a big deal to us. Game room was fun and all games are free. Location is great. Short drive to everything downtown. I would definitely stay again. Great family memories made!
