The Annexe Chadalais

The Annexe provides comfortable, flexible and self-contained bed and breakfast accommodation for up to four people, and offers a warm welcome year-round. The Annexe holds the recognised tourist classification Chambre d'hôtes référence® (obtained 2022) guaranteeing the quality of our accommodation and guest services.

The Annexe is situated in Haute Vienne, close to the borders of Charente and the Dordogne which makes it the perfect place for an overnight stop if you are passing through, visiting friends, family or attending events in the local area.

The suite comprises a King bedroom, Twin bedroom, private lounge and private bathroom. The Annexe offers guests their own private entrance permitting them to come and go as they please during their stay. A small in-room breakfast (pastries, tea/ coffee, fruit juice) is included in the standard nightly rate.

The Annexe is part of our family home but is completely independent with its own private entrance. Used for only one reservation at a time, this offers guests their own private space during their stay. The Annexe can accommodate between 1 and 4 guests (plus an additional baby under 2) and so is ideal for those travelling as individuals, a couple, a family or small group.

The Annexe is clean and well-presented offering comfortable beds and furnishings, with adequate storage, character features and views over the gardens and surrounding countryside. All linen and towels are provided, along with basic toiletries. The Annexe offers its own private keyed entrance and secure off-road parking.

Guests of The Annexe have their own lounge and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower. There is an HD TV with UK Freeview and Orange TNT/ VOD and Wi-fi is available. With guests staying on a Bed and Breakfast basis, there are no kitchen facilities, but there are ample tea and coffee making facilities and provisions as well as a small fridge.

We are able to accept one infant under two years (a cot and highchair can be provided upon request). In general, we do not accept children over the age of two years but this may be available by request at our discretion. We do not accept pets at the property.

The Annexe is designed as short term accommodation on a ‘room’ only or bed and breakfast basis, and as such has no kitchen or dining facilities or access to any outside spaces. Due to the nature of the accommodation, there is a maximum stay of two nights.

Please note that there are no amenities within walking distance. There are a bar and bakery approx. 3km, and several restaurants around a 10-15 minute drive. We are around a 10 minute drive from the town of Saint Mathieu with a supermarket, tabac, bank, post office and other amentieis.

If you are looking for a self-catering option or a property that is able to accommodate a longer stay, we do also have available our gite La Charnière Chadalais, which is fully private and provides with all the necessary amenities, and more, including seasonal access to our outdoor pool and its own private jacuzzi.

IMPORTANT: As this is a private rental, it is not necessary for our guests to have a Pass Sanbitaire. The proprietors have their Pass Sanitaire and all necessary protocols and precautions will be taken to maintain social distancing and hygiene requirements at all times.
