Farmhouse Cottage in the Country

You’ll love this darling cozy cottage decorated in farmhouse style! The cottage is situated on the back of the pasture and nestled in among pine and oak trees. You can enjoy an evening out by the fire pit and a morning cup of coffee on the front porch. There are bicycle / nature trails for exploring the forest. The fishing pond is stocked with bass, catfish, and perch for catch and release fishing.

The cottage itself is a small studio type space but feels very roomy. The full size bed is comfy and there is also a double recliner for relaxation. The kitchen is complete with a full size fridge, a convection oven, microwave, toaster, induction stove top, electric kettle, and coffee pot. You will also find essentials such as coffee, sugar, flour, cornmeal, oil, and numerous spices for cooking either in the kitchen or outside on the charcoal grill.

Cute Cottage

This is the 2nd time we came back and stayed on this property. Stayed in the opposite cottage this time. It was just perfect for my husband and I along with our little shorkie. Has all you need for a short and sweet stay. Highly recommend and will return again.

So Peaceful

If you are wanting a quite place to stay this is it! Check in could not be any easier and I enjoyed my dinners sitting out on the front porch. The little cabin was perfect for me and had everything I needed and more! I would definitely stay again!

A beautiful place to stay

We had an amazing time! Our host was welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The cottage was so cozy and beautifully decorated. The walking trails were an added bonus and we enjoyed a morning walk through the woods. We highly recommend it as a relaxing and quiet stay.

inside is nice clean and cozy, a whole lot better than any old hotel room. while outside on the porch at night, you can see the stars and listen to the wildlife nearby.

Cute cottage

The cottage was cute and close to everything I needed. I loved that it has a kitchen. As a woman traveling alone, I felt much safer than in a motel, and I loved the peace and quiet. The owner was very friendly. I'll definitely stay there again.

Perfect for One

This property was wonderful for me. Since I was travelling alone, the "tiny house" feel was perfect. It would also be perfect for a couple. My only concern was I really could have used a stair for the bed. It's really high and I'm only 4'9".

Livestock Show

Stayed for 3 nights so we could watch our niece and nephew show their animals for the Angelina County Livestock Show. Cottage was clean, quiet and was perfect. Had our mini Aussie with us and she really enjoyed stepping into the pond while i fished. Terri was very kind and filled coffee jar for us on our arrival. Will stay again if the need arises.

Great stay, great host!

We had a wonderful time staying at this cute, country property. The inside was very clean and cozy. Terri gave us a little tour of what all we had available to us on the inside. (Netflix, Bluetooth speaker, coffee maker, WiFi) We took this trip specifically to get our dog out of the city. He enjoyed walking through the trails on Terri’s land, swimming in their pond and playing with Atticus. Overall Terri was a wonderful host and the property was very nice and close to town.

Rodeo finals

We were in town for our grandson's rodeo finals so we did not get to enjoy all the amenities of the property because we wer gone most of the time. But it is a cute cottage and very close to restaurants but away from the city!

Cozy cabin

The cabin was a cozy. There are however a few things that would have made our stay amazing. 1. From the first day, there were gnats flying around everywhere. 2. The bed was hard as a rock. Im a big guy and it didn’t budge hardly any. 3. We seen several roaches in the cabin as well, at night. Other than these things it was a great stay. I don’t believe we would ever stay there again though. On the bright side I did catch 3 bass out of the pound, all about 1lbs each.

Misconception

The property was not secluded like I requested in previous message with owner. The water never got above Luke warm from any faucet.The weather & conditions outside had the entire cabin cold floor and walls ..poorly insulation is my guess. The heater/ac could not keep up with desired inside temperature. We left a day early and never returned.We are long time VRBO Customers check yr records from Fredericksburg Tx. We will not return to this particular property. RED CROFOOT

Clean, Quiet, Peaceful, secluded place. Very comfortable. Could tell the host Terri put a lot of effort to make things perfect. The only 'negative' was the spotty WiFi which was really out of her control.

Peaceful Country Cottage

Terri is an awesome host. Communication was very good. We definitely enjoyed our time in the cabin. It's in a beautiful country setting but yet it's close to restaurants and shopping. We loved the sound of the rain hitting the tin roof. It was very relaxing. We look forward to staying there on our next trip to Lufkin.

Quaint cottage

Enjoyed the privacy and homey atmosphere of this quaint cottage stay. It was a far greater mini vacation stay then using a hotel and priced better too.

This property was purchased by my grandparents in 1946. I have grown up on this land and raised my family here. My parents and brothers all have homes across the creek from the cabins on our 35 acre family estate.
