Great getaway in a quiet location. My family enjoyed our visit. The house is very nice and well maintained. Celesta was very responsive to questions we had prior to arrival. We highly recommend.
Our family truly enjoyed the accommodations for our Christmas family gathering. The property had everything to make our stay most comfortable. Beautiful home, beautiful interior and the most beautiful Christmas tree. Thank you!
This place was just perfect for our group. The owners were easy to communicate with and the very few requests were clear. Everything was well stocked and had everything we needed. Definitely recommend this property if you need a hideaway.
Nice property with all the emenities of home. We were there on particularly hot days so the AC struggled a bit but was not uncomfortable in the living room. Property was clean, spacious, and had a nice hidden wooded view from the second floor balcony.
My friends and I hike in different parts of the Tri-State every year so we stay in a lot of cabins. This by far was one of the best. Five clean bedrooms, great common areas, and an awesome fire pit (fire wood included!). I would highly recommend this to others looking for a nice get-away.....
Calm, quiet, clean, creatively comfortable
Less than 5 stars would be unreasonable
You clearly care about this property
Its the pinnacle of hospitality
Heavenly should be its new lable
We had a wonderful stay.
My mom is in a wheelchair and the lower level was pretty accessible, including the back cement patio !
The area is very scenic and the home is beautiful!
The only challenge is that verizon cell service in that area doesn’t work, so satellite car maps were all that could guide us. The home wifi worked well and allowed us to call / connect once there.
A bit far from Athens but overall great stay.
Great property! Clean and well stocked! We were comfortable immediately and enjoyed the fire pit and porch/balcony. We cooked most of our meals and had everything we needed. Plenty of space for me, my husband, and my in-laws, with room to spare! Could sleep many more comfortably. It was clean and peaceful! Cannot say enough good things about this rental!
The house was clean and well furnished. Very private and quiet. This was our second time renting this house and we will rent again. The only thing I would change about the house is the windows. Difficult to open.
We enjoy the outdoors and meeting people, so having vacation rentals is a fun project for us. Lee is a retired mechanic and Celesta loves gardening and sewing. The Hideaway is our third property. You may want to check out Antler Ridge Cabin and The Cottage at Antler Ridge.
Why they chose this property
The area is great for deer and turkey hunting, so we purchased some acreage for hunting privileges and then the house became available also. A win-win!
What makes this property unique
Where can you find a nice house in the middle of the boonies and feel so secure and refreshed? The clip clop of a horse and buggy going past just adds to the romance of the secluded area. Just a half mile away you can order Amish made pies, breads, rolls, cookies, crafts, hickory rockers, soaps, and fresh produce. Takes you back in time...
