A great way to start the day was watching the sea birds and dolphins swim together in the river!
An older home always has character, along with it's history. The views of the Indian River from the front lawn were relaxing as well as interesting. We very much enjoyed our stay.
My 13 year granddaughter and I loved staying at this old mansion. Our room was perfect. The view of the river was beautiful. We seen dolphins and plenty of fish. I wish I brought my pole! We really enjoyed staying here. The beds where comfortable. We were close to everything we needed. Definately would book again.
We have stayed here twice in March. The house has character and history, which we enjoy. The front lawn that goes down to the Indian River is a wonderful place to spend a quiet morning before going out. The dolphins always produce a good water ballet and the water birds are fascinating! Our only criticism about the unit we stayed in (both times) was the uncomfortable two-cushion sofa. Everything else was clean and provided all the tools and appliances we needed to make a few simple meals, including breakfast. We will likely book here again in the spring.
This is an over 100 year old house that has a lot of character. It’s in excellent condition and very clean. It could use a few more things that would make it more comfortable like work space in the bathroom and a dresser in the bedroom. There’s just no room for it. Great place for a few days.
It was a beautiful property we saw dolphins and a manatee it is an old house but it is in good shape with new appliances and enough items to be able to cook a meal. There were 4 or 5 units in 1 house so it was busy with people in and out but everybody was nice also nice laundry area.
House exterior needs a good cleaning.
Inside was nice and clean but, VERY COLD. Tenants in other suites were cold too. Heat never turned on and turning temp setting all the way up while on cool did not help. Florida does get cold.
The location is WONDERFUL. Enjoyed watching dolphins play in Indian River and all the birds.
The property was reasonably well maintained, however the interior noise was a problem at times. I would suggest that they need to install some soundproofing, perhaps around the doors as hearing a conversation in the next unit was rather disturbing. One couple were there with children and we could hear them being disciplined with loud voices. Even when people were not speaking in loud voices however, they were still very audible. The other problem with the property was internet. Since even the TV is operated through the internet this was a problem on more than one occasion. Even though the property manager dealt with it in a timely manner, it went out again the next evening.
If youre like me...you search and search for that 1 perfect place for your special occasion. Save your time, this is THE ONE! I PROMISE!!
What a perfect weekend! I got the 1 br at Ballard House (Sunnypoint in Melbourne) for my bf and I. I can't write a review to do the property justice! The views, the neighborhood, the location was absolutely fabulous! I needed the perfect place for a Florida weekend. That meant
Perfect price-YES
Perfect ambiance-YES
Perfect location-Yes
There were dolphins swimming at the end of the pier after a 1/2 day of rain ( its Florida...it rains)
We went on the Good River Tour...so relaxing and a perfect start to the weekend! We went to some tide pools in Sebastian, kayaking shopping and just trotting around.
Thank you for letting us stay in this sliver of paradise!
