Stylishly decorated and perfectly maintained 1950s ranch with everything you need to feel at home. NEW: NO CLEANING FEES. Three bedrooms, 4 luxurious beds, (king queen and 2 twins) , queen sofa sleeper just added for 2 extra guests (even the unexpected),1.5 bathrooms, well appointed cooks kitchen with modern appliances and retro decor. You’ll feel like your visiting your very cool grandparents’ house. Lots to look at and talk about as you explore the decor of the 50s, 60s and 70s. Wedding Guest?? We are walkimg distance from Veterans Terrace and The Mercantile. The 1841 Barn is 2 miles away.
Burlington is a charming exurban city surrounded by recreational and farm land. Charming downtown shops are steps away. Antiquing and thrifting as well as gourmet groceries are all within the city limits. Walk to downtown, restaurants, shops and bars, 50 steps to the river walk, yard and covered patio spaces to enjoy outdoors.
Loads of outdoor recreational activities year round. We are close to state trails, 3 ski hills, two rivers and dozens of lakes. Lake Geneva is 10 mins away, Milwaukee is 45 mins and Chicago 90 mins with 2 options for train transport to avoid traffic. Perfect for a getaway with girlfriends, family or couples.

Like staying at a grandparents place :) Very welcoming and clean with so much character. The great location meant we didn’t need to drive anywhere. Nice walk to breakfast, ice cream, dinner, theater and trails.

Perfect Little House

This charming house was very clean and all of our accommodations were wonderful. We attended a wedding at Mercantile Hall just a few blocks away, so the location was perfect. It was walking distance to everything downtown: breakfast, dinner, bars, wedding hall, coffee shops. Our group of 4 was very comfortable but there was plenty of room for a couple more. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this house!

Very clean and adequately stocked for even for a family of 8. Close proximity to what you need and for the Mercantile for a wedding. Owner is very easy to get a hold of and communicates quickly. Thank you!!

Family Wedding

Great location! We were within walking distance of downtown Burlington, which had a nice street festival taking place and was close to excellent food. In addition, we were just minutes away from the venue for a family members wedding. The place was clean and exactly what was described in the overview of the place. Would definitely stay there again!

This property was the perfect place for my daughter's wedding party. The directions were clear and the check-in process was easy. The house was comfy, and I loved the retro decor. The host was accommodating when there was a change in the number of guests.

I highly recommend this place!

The place is immaculately clean! The property owner was very responsive and accommodating! I highly recommend this place. We came to ski at the Alpine Valley and so some hiking at the whitewater trails. It was a good place in between. Overall, we had a very positive experience.

Retro Magic!

Donna is a wonderful host and the house was fantastic! Perfect location and just right for our group of 5…we were close to Lake Geneva for walking the shore line and other activities and we were able to go on a great bike ride right from the house. Next time we will definitely bring our kayaks and check out the Fox River. Thanks for your hospitality!

Perfect house for our family of 4 adults.

This is a cute clean property. We were in town for a couple days to attend a family wedding. We opted for this location which was in walking distance to the wedding venue. It was so nice to have the extra room with our 2 adult kids. The covered patio in the back was perfect for our morning coffee. Some additional pluses on this property are comfortable beds, plenty of towels, one and a half bathrooms and stocked coffee!

Charming and comfortable stay

We were attending an event at the nearby State Recreation Area (VRBO won’t let me actually include the name, IYKYK) but didn’t want to stay in a hotel in Kenosha. This location was perfect - less than 15 minutes away - and the accommodations were quiet and very comfortable. The house has a very retro vibe, most of us grew up in the 70s and 80s and felt right at home. Host Donna had clear instructions and responded quickly to all of our questions. Highly recommended.

Clean, comfortable and cozy!

We had part of my daughter's wedding party stay here for my daughter's wedding this past weekend at Veteran's Terrace. They were so happy and said it was very clean, comfortable and cozy. They were also able to walk to all of the locations that were part of the wedding. It was a great alternative to staying in a hotel.

Quiet, fun place to stay

I always try to consider all elements of a stay in my rating. Overall it’s a fun and great place to stay in an area with limited options. Reasonably priced for the surprisingly large interior. It’s deceivingly spacious, and sittti g outside you’d never know it was so big. We didn’t get to use the patio area, but it looks like it’d be fun. Awesome finds throughout the home as well. No critiques on the home, but the parking is very tight for pickups, especially large pickups. Thank you Donna for a great stay! We’ll be back!

Fabulous property for weekend wedding in Burlington!

My stepdaughter's wedding was at Veterans Terrace in Burlington this past weekend. I booked this VRBO almost a year in advance (I'm an OCD planner) and am so glad I snatched it up when I did! Although I arrived after dark, the owner had left porch lights on with clear instructions on accessing the property. She also left a six-pack of local beer in the fridge for us - what a nice touch!! The beds were comfy, the kitchen fully stocked, and the house was toasty warm despite the fact that it got bitterly cold while we were there. The decor is truly mid-century modern which brought back some fond memories. We managed to make 1.5 bathrooms work with 4 adults - no issue at all. Donna responded to messages within minutes. The house is in an ideal location - super close to everything. If it had been warmer, we would have walked everywhere! I definitely recommend the Town Fryer diner which is 400 feet from the house - we ate there for breakfast and lunch during our stay, and it was yummy. Overall, I'd give the house, location, and owner 100 stars if I could!

After breaking my ankle the night before our trip, Donna was gracious enough to allow us to change our trip dates. She didn’t have to. She could’ve pocketed our $ and turned the other way. Thank you Donna for being so kind.
