The Cisco Yurt is unlike any place you have stayed with spectacular panoramic views of the iconic blue water of Bear Lake. These custom yurts are the largest yurts made in North America at 40 feet in diameter and twenty feet high, space is abundant.
The yurts include fully equipped kitchens, washer and dryer, two private toilets, a large walk-in shower, two separate bedrooms with all bedding provided, a children's play loft/extra sleeping area, opening/closing windows, and an entertainment center for family movies. Enjoy sitting by the fire during cold nights while you watch the stars from the dome sky light above. Oso Blu is the most unique and enjoyable family experience in Bear Lake. The Cisco yurt has a swamp cooler to keep you cool in the heat and heaters to keep you warm in the evenings and cool shoulder seasons at Bear Lake.
There is no other property like this in the Bear Lake area. You will have access to all private gated areas with plenty of room for you and your guests to spread out. Take a short walk up a meandering path to the gathering platform where you can watch the sunrise, sunsets, or star gaze around a fire in peaceful tranquility.
The Cisco yurt has plenty of space for your guests to spread out- 2 large bedrooms and a sleeping loft make your stay comfortable for 7 guests if each person needs their own bed, but up to 12 can fit comfortably.
Bedroom #1 King Bed with a full over full bunk bed tucked away in the corner. Bedroom #2 Queen Bed with a full over full bunk bed tucked away in the corner Bedroom #3 Loft- 1 full bunk bed, but bring sleeping bags and put the older kids up there!

Yurt Vacation

The Yurt was very clean and comfortable and the view was spectacular. The swamp cooler did a good job keeping us cool just know that it is a little loud but didn’t bother us. I would recommend staying in the Yurt.

Will Be Back!!

We absolutely loved our weekend stay at OsoBlu! We will be planning a weekend with our family next year and we cannot wait to go back! Beds were comfortable, kitchen was perfect, and we couldn’t have asked for more. The only thing we would recommend is new window coverings and something to cover the window on the door at night. Other than that, we give a 10 out of 10! Thank you for an amazing place to stay for our weekend getaway!!

Fantastic!

We had a great time staying at The Cisco! We were a group of 11 (6 adults & 5 kids) and there was plenty of space. The yurt was very clean and we appreciated all the dishes (especially the kid friendly ones) which were available. The swamp cooler worked well but left the space a little warm during the hottest part of the day. We had a couple of needs over our three days but Melissa was always very quick to respond and make sure everything we needed was taken care of right away

Fun & different place to stay

Aside from temperature control (via windows and heaters, but no AC and the Swamp Cooler said closed for the season on it), this is a really nice place with a gorgeous view and the lookout is pretty spectacular for a bbq or just to watch the scenery. The yurt is basically a really nice plumbed glamorous tent, which means noise definitely travels. The bunkbeds creak a bit. Everything was really clean and nicely set up & provisioned. The loft area is super cute but was too hot for us to sleep in on our stay, and with windows open, the yurt cooled down at night, but got quite noisy when the wind picked up. The kitchen is well-stocked and nicely laid out. Parking is good. Instructions for getting in and out were excellent, as was the helpful packet about areas of interest nearby. The bear images on the gate and near the lookout are adorable.

Close to Bear Lake and downtown

Delightful!

Stayed at the end of July with 90+ temps during the day. The yurt was warm when we first got there. However, everything cools off really well in the evenings and we were able to maintain a cooler temperature in the yurt (the remainder of our stay) by running the swamp cooler during the day. Melissa is wonderful and everything is very well maintained. My family loved their time here!

Great Experience

We had plenty of space for our party of 5, but would book this again for a larger family gathering. Weather turned cold with some snow, but the pellet heater kept us and the unit really warm. Unit information was accurate and check-in was a breeze.

R & R Retreat &

Our family needed this unique away-from-home accommodation---"camping" in a yurt! And I always wanted to be in one. It was perfect! Nature was right outside the door-from looking at the stars at night to sipping a beverage outside the yurt overlooking the lake to simply listening to nature's sounds, we weren't disappointed. We loved the amenities, coffee maker, stove, comfy beds, shower...

Nicer than our own home

We had a great stay over July 4 weekend. The yurts are perched on a hill overlooking the lake which made for fantastic fireworks viewing without having to go anywhere. The yurt was clean and had everything you need. We even baked a cake there. Short bike ride or walk down the hill to the beach, though what goes down must come up so remember that. Kids loved the loft area, parents loved sitting by the open windows on the cozy couches and chairs soaking in the breeze and views.

Oso Blu is owned by locals John and Melissa Spuhler and their son Leo. The Spuhler’s are full time residents of Garden City. Melissa, John and Leo love to hike, bike, boat, fish, surf, paddleboard, ski and snowmobile. Oso Blu started at the request of their son Leo who has Autism. Leo wanted a place in nature where he could share his knowledge with others raising chickens, ducks, miniature donkeys, goats, and other small animals as well as raspberry’s, and blueberries, which are not on the property yet, but hope to be added over the next few years. Oso Blu is not just another rental in Bear Lake it is a full unique experience which will bring life long memories.

Gathering Deck with Cowboy Fire Cauldron- ready for you!
The unobstructed view of Bear Lake is awesome from our massive 40 foot round gathering deck. A large fire cauldron will allow you to stay warm while soaking in the wonder of the stars and the entire landscape of Bear Lake. It is important to note you will need to bring your own wood. Wood bundles are available at the Shell, or Mike’s market or the Ace Hardware store.

Enjoy a game of tetherball, Corn Hole, or Volleyball up near the gathering platform.
