Newly refinished and ready for your relaxing vacation. Enjoy the gas fireplace and watch the snow fall. Easy walk to the Bus / Park and ride to both Alta & Snowbird resorts. Access to Hot tub and BBQ grill. Gazebo area. Living area with large HD TV, bluRay and direct TV with movie channels, Dining area, Washer & Dryer, Full bathroom on the main level. 1 bedroom on main and 1 large bedroom upstairs with 1/2 bathroom. Ski Trip to Alta/Snowbird/Snowbasin

We have been staying at the Ivy Cottage for several years for our Spring Break ski trips. It is right at the base of Little Cottonwood Canyon and super convenient for skiing at Alta/Snowbird. It is also fully equipped to cook your own meals and close to local shopping. The hosts are excellent as well and we will be back!

We rely on reviews when selecting a place to stay, and the positive reviews of this place do not reflect reality. Likely the positive reviews are due to the owners being such outwardly nice people. Eric greeted us on our arrival, showed us the place, let us know he was available for us but would respect our privacy; and he did. He provided us with a bottle of wine for our stay, home-made salsa from Shauna’s garden, chips, and even brought us freshly baked biscuits one day during our stay. The good:1.Possibly the best stocked place we’ve ever stayed.2.Owners were responsive, prompt, friendly, outwardly respectful.3.Location can’t be beat.The bad:1.Although the place was clean on the surface, we both experienced significant allergy-induced respiratory issues while there, even though we ran the air-purifier non-stop and kept the bathroom fan/heater on during the day. This had a noticable impact on our stay and was our major issue with the place.2.Cluttered. Too much stuff crammed into too small of space, leaving little usable counter, tabletop, end table, shelf, or even under-bed storage space.

The location is amazing- your back yard is the mouth of little cottonwood! We were met with a warm welcome, snacks and even cupcakes for our kiddos! Everything you could need to come home to after a day of skiing! Fireplace, hot tub, cozy kitchen, and comfortable beds!

What a great place! Has all amenities you can ask for, very close to the resorts, but tucked away in a quiet cul de sac so no traffic noise. My whole fam loved it. We will go back!

Cottage was amazing. Perfect location for Snowbird and Alta. 15 minutes up the Canyon. Tons of extras there for cooking, loved staying there. Really liked the gas fireplace/stove. Having laundry there was a great benefit along with hot tub and bbq!

Cute Cottage with a Million Dollar View

This was everything we were looking for in a place to stay while visiting our son. The hosts were very responsive. The cottage is equipped with everything you could possibly need, including kitchenware, toilet paper, laundry detergent, shampoo, body wash, conditioner, lotion, towels, etc. The property has the most stunning backyard areas for sitting and taking in the amazing views of Little Cottonwood Canyon. A bottle of wine, chips and homemade salsa were also provided. I cannot think of anything else they could have done to make us feel more welcome. I highly recommend this property, especially if you're a skier. The hills are just minutes away, as are the grocery store and restaurants.

Refreshing Getaway Spot

The Ivy Cottage pleasantly surprised my friends and me. Erick greeted us and gave us a tour first thing, pointing out helpful items and ideas as he went. The house itself is at the back of a garage, and is charmingly constructed, with one bedroom and a full bathroom with laundry downstairs, a nook in the upstairs with a sofa, tv, and bed, and another bedroom with a half bath off of it on the other half of the room. The kitchen and living room downstairs are perfectly suited for small gatherings and more well-suited to cooking and hanging out for four mid-forties and up women. The kitchen is incredibly well supplied with utensils, dinnerware, storage containers and foils/wraps. One of the loveliest parts was the yard. There is a comfortable seating and separate dining area just outside the house, with a small fence to separate the area from the owner's yard and their dogs. They welcomed us to use their yard too, with a huge couch with a fantastic view of Little Cottonwood at the west end of the property. I was able to put up my hammock and enjoy some reading on the trees to the north end of the property. The small a/c units did an admirable job of cooling the unit, and the bathrooms were very clean, tidy, and well-stocked. I would stay here again in a heartbeat if budget and plans allow it, and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a cozy, gorgeous, convenient location.

I grew up in Utah. Married for over 41 years with 4 adult children and 10 grandkids. We moved to the Sandy area for our Children to be closer to their grandparents. We love the area and the people and want to share this fantastic location with you.

Why they chose this property

We love living at the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon. We enjoy the wildlife that come to visit our yard. They love the pine trees and the deer like to munch on apples hidden in the snow during the winter or maybe steel a tomato from the garden. Lots of birds for those who love to listen to them sing or just like to watch them. We are close to many bike and hike trails for our summer time guests.

What makes this property unique

This area feels comfortable with majestic views of the canyons and large trees. Quiet, dead end road with large yards. Gas fireplace to create that romantic atmosphere. Even though we are right at the mouth of little cottonwood canyon, we are not on a busy road. We sit on a ridge to the west of Wasatch Blvd which gives us awesome view of the canyon. We've tried to provide everything you can think of to make your stay a fabulous experience. We are easy to reach and are happy to give you a tour of the property. We respect your privacy.
