The location is the best. Steps away from downtown area. Close to shops, boutiques, restaurants and the lake. Walked to the lake and the surrounding area.
The apartment had two main bedrooms (each had 2 queen beds and an additional futon) and two full baths. The loft had two additional bedrooms. the loft area is open to the downstairs so sound does carry. The kitchen area was very large, modern and comfortable to use. Necessary appliances were available. dinning area had large windows as did living room with a view of parts of neighborhood. There was a farmers market on Saturday that we walked to. Great Location. Only downside was the 25 stairs to the apartment but just figured it helped to get our steps in each day. Loved the place and would go back again.
Place is great , close to everything and very accommodating.

We were disappointed with the cleanliness of the house. We spent a lot of time cleaning before we settled in. No wash cloths provided and very few hand towels and bath towels. Lighting is poor. With 20’ ceilings, lights at the ceiling on fans is not enough. Upstairs bedroom had lighting that had to be switched on and off from the main level. Showers did not work good. Lights in bathroom did not work. Faucet in tub did not work for hot water. Need I go on!!! Worst rental we’ve ever been in.
We stayed here for the weeekend.
Its close to downtown.
There were 2 nice bedrooms that are private. The other 2 bedrooms are in the open loft area. Would be perfect for a large family.
We enjoyed our stay.
Pros - Excellent location - can walk to restaurants etc, but on a quiet side street; convenient parking; spacious. Cons - Shower pressure is low, different shower heads would work better to boost it. Some small labels would be convenient for cupboards, remotes, light and fan controls, etc. Inside immediate entrance could use a refresh. Overall, was very enjoyable stay.
Great place - 6 minutes to CMAC
Very spacious and neat
Like others said if you like quiet place to sleep while others are up not the place for you or bring ear plugs.
Stayed at this VRBO for a friends overnight. We were doing a cooking class nearby. Old Firehall was a unique stay. Plenty of clean beds and large room to hang out, enjoy a few glasses of wine and have lots of laughs. Walking distance to all the unique shops and restaurants. Would defiantly recommend.
We loved staying at Kim's place. It is so unique. My son and his roommate come over for dinner one night of our stay and they loved it. The location is great. Our bed was comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed. The bathrooms are nice and everything seemed well kept. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The only things I would give as a heads up is there are stairs to get up to the loft and stairs to the upper rooms of the loft. If anyone has mobility issues. However, that is kind of to be expected in a loft. Also, as mentioned by some of the other guests, there is a lack of privacy with some of the bedrooms. This wasn't a problem with us because it was just my husband and I. One of the main level bedrooms is completely closed in. The other main level bedroom is closed in except for one wall that is open at the top. The two bedrooms upstairs are open loft space bedrooms. This is completely fine for families, but maybe not couples vacationing together. With all that being said, we LOVED this space. The huge windows, high ceiling and beautiful touches made this place a keeper. We will definitely stay here again. Thanks, Kim!
We had 7 friends stay for 3 nights and although the space is cool, it is noisy when you walk across floors or talk because it echoes. The common areas are nice and work really well for gathering. Only one bedroom is private (the others are adjoined) which is a bit awkward. The loft bedrooms have no doors and nowhere to put clothes as far as a dresser or closet. Adding a few things like a rod for clothes and maybe a mirror to those areas would add to the experience. We ran out of toilet paper but didn’t receive any when we reported it. The garden tub only had a trickle of water so really it wasn’t useable. There was a new faucet there so I’m sure they were aware of that. The kitchen is furnished with everything you could possibly need! This property wasn’t bad, just a few things that could make or break the stay depending on your situation.
For the 5 of us 60 somethings, this was a fun find! Cool loft with lots of bright light coming through the large windows!
If you like a completely dark bedroom for sleeping, you may need a sleep mask due to the street lights that are not completely blocked by the window blinds.
Pros: Great location for walking to nearby restaurants and breweries. Host was quick to respond to any questions and concerns. Well stocked kitchen! Clean.
Possible Cons: Stairs may be a bit steep if you’re not in shape or have mobility issues. Because of the open floor plan of a loft, it is a can be a bit noisy if you’re a light sleeper.
With 5 of my friends we were taking a cooking class at NYK and didn’t want to drive at drinking wine so we rented this very cool place. Plenty of room to relax in a very unique space
What a creative gem this place is! Really enjoyed the space which had been remodeled/redesigned. Bed and bedding was comfy. Bathrooms were really nice. Great location, can walk or drive to many places. Pictures don't do it justice. Such a great place! Will definitely be returning.
Very spacious place with perfect location to explore the area and the main street. The place had everything we needed. Good amount of parking in front of the building with plenty more less than a block down the street. All of us were presently surprised with how nice the space was and honestly I feel like the pictures just don’t do it justice. Would recommend to others!
The cleanliness of this property was terrible! There was half eaten food in the fridge (including milk) that expired almost a month ago and the freezer was disgusting! When this was brought to their attention, they responded that the food belonged to the owner. We also ran out of toilet paper, as there was only a partial roll in each bathroom for 7 people to use over a two night stay.
I would not stay at or recommend this property to anyone.
We did not expect 26 steps up to the unit but upstairs was great if one is not seeking private bedrooms. All had glass doors/no doors. Kitchen fairly well equipped. Living space very spacious and welcoming. Host very responsive when we ran into a problem.
Great location. Walking distance to everything. Incredible place. HUGE! 30'+ Tall ceilings. Very large rooms. Sleeps 14 and there were only 5 of us. Only complaint is fruit flys were everywhere and big problem. Host was very prompt in bringing us some bug spray but didn't really help.
This house was very spacious and open. It was right along a cute little strip with shops and bars. The only thing I wish it would have had was some outdoor space to hang out for lawn games. Other than that we were very pleased!
The location of this booking was ideal! With tons of breweries and walking distance to the main street, 10 of us guys made a bachelor party great. Communication with Kim was urgent and reasonable. We all loved our stay and would definitely recommend for groups who are looking to experience the Canandaigua area.
