Great house for a family reunion

We had 7 people from 4 states for a family reunion. Great house for that with lots of indoor and outdoor spaces for different activities. Nice view of the lake, close to town and good grocery store for provisions. The house was immaculate when we got there. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of cookware and other things. It had everything we needed. Highly recommended.

This home is like a museum. So much art, decor and furnishings that you would find in a stately home. Beautiful is an understatement. Would definitely want to stay here again.

Great Lakefront Oasis

This house was perfect for our 10 family member get together. The family rooms were perfect for everyone to be together, the bedrooms were large and spaced out throughout the house. The dock and water sports made it so we didn’t want to leave. Located close enough to hiking and tubing. Will definitely recommend to friends and family!!

Amazing stay in the North GA Mountains!

This was a wonderful property for a family vacation - located centrally to various venues - the handicap accessibility was a plus - since my son is in a wheelchair - I would highly recommend it and look forward to booking it again!

Luxury Comfort for Group of Eight

A high quality, beautifully decorated and comfortable home on the lake for our group of 7 adults and 1 child, great for boating [brought a boat and used the boathouse], fishing and kayaking. A modern kitchen and two refrigerators made it easy to cook/grill all of our meals. Three levels of bedrooms/bathrooms for privacy. The owners were easy and pleasant to work with. When outside, the road noise from the nearby bridge was noticeable but did not significantly detract from our stay.

Great home for our family gathering

We had 11 people in this house spanning 3 generations, ranging in age from 13 to 86. The house was spacious enough for all of us and everything was clean and in very good condition. It was great being on the water so we could swim, and we also rented a boat for one day and did some hikion and biking in the area. I would very nuch recommend this home for larger groups (or smaller), My father even met one of the neighbors who gave us some home-grown tomatoes!

Beautiful And Convenient

The home is gorgeous and the view over the lake is awesome. It is very convenient to the grocery, pizza, restaurants and attractions like waterfalls and hiking trails. The bedrooms on the bottom floor were perfect for our children and grandchildren, master suite was on the main floor and 2 more bedrooms on the top floor which made it perfect for our family getaway. The beds were comfortable, the gas fireplace was awesome on cold mornings, and the kitchen was well equipped. We greatly enjoyed our time here! Highly recommend!

Very nice stay but could have been better.

The house is as pictured and is very clean. The host is responsive and seems like a lovely person. My friends and I had a good time but there were things I would have liked to have known before booking. First, when we arrived, there was a framed message that stated the jacuzzi tub was not operational. Bummer since my husband was really looking forward to some nice baths. Wish this would have been communicated to us before we arrived since it seems the tub had been out of commission for a while. Second, the house is not as wheelchair friendly as I anticipated. Most doorways are fairly narrow, including into the master BR. The vanity in the master bath does not allow a wheelchair user to fit underneath it. The small water closet in the master bath is unusable but there is a half bath near the bedroom that I used instead. Also, the driveway and the path to the fire pit/lake is extremely steep and could be hazardous for a wheelchair user. Of course, if you’re not seeking wheelchair accommodations, then this critique won’t matter and this house should work fine for you. We were there late October and the leaves were changing and the weather was gorgeous. I would recommend this house for able-bodied people without small children.

Beautiful custom log mansion! We had a wonderful stay.

This log cabin is like having a luxury lodge all to yourself! It is very peaceful and is uniquely decorated with Native-American inspired art and relics. It is immaculate and the interior is well maintained. We were pleasantly surprised with how well appointed the lodge was. The bedding and towels were of spa/luxury hotel quality and were abundant. The kitchen had all the necessary pots, pans, plates etc that you will need for your stay. The lake and more than 180 degree wrap around views are gorgeous. There was use of kayaks and a boat dock if you choose to rent one. There were 3 nice fire pits. The location to Hiawassee was ideal. We will be returning in the future!

Would NOT recommend this Rental!!

House very nice, however, owner's continued camera surveillance of family activities Very Intrusive!! Felt our privacy rights extremely violated. We paid handsomely for the week and left feeling taken advantage of. I pray no one else goes through this experience.. Would NOT recommend this property if you want any privacy! Also, signs throughout house of Extra costs.

Gorgeous Mountain & Lake Views

This home is wonderful for a relaxed family vacation. Our extended family of 10 ranged in ages from 7 to 72 and everyone enjoyed the property. The home is very clean and has two washer/dryer sets and refrigerators, which was a plus. The neighborhood is family friendly and the home is situated at the point on a cove. We had some boat traffic over the weekend, but not what is on the main part of the lake. The home also has great water access. The kids loved jumping off the dock or playing near the swim entry by the shore. The shore also provides ample space for those that love to fish. The dock fit the 24' pontoon that we used during the stay. The grounds have beautiful stone and landscaping features. The two fire pit areas were also fun for all. I would recommend the home to others and look forward to renting again.

It needs a good cleaning...

The house could be a beautiful place to stay at but they charge you an outrageous amount for a cleaning fee yet, when we got there, the first thing that we noticed was the spider webs hanging everywhere. The toilet had a nasty pink ring around the inside of it. Sitting on the couch in the living room, I had a spider web extending from the furniture to my hair. Another thing, we left our cell phone and a pillow case. Got charged close to three times what the actual shipping fee was for them to ship it back to me. The postage on the box said one thing and they charged close to 3 times that. Wow, are they really that hard up for extra cash? I've stayed at many, many cabins before but this whole experience was our least favorite. They are too greedy!!!! Everything there had some sort of "warning" of consequences if we did this or that. Do yourself a favor, rent from someone else.

Wonderful Stay

Our family had a wonderful stay in this beautiful vacation home located on our favorite lake! Everything was just as described with plenty of room for our two families. Absolutely loved the use of the boat dock as we had a boat rental for the week. Also appreciated the use of the kayaks and paddle boards. This truly is a beautiful home in a great location--amazing artwork throughout the home and the kitchen is fully stocked with all the pots/pans, dishes, and utensils you could possibly need. Communication with the owner was excellent--Kristina was very quick to reply to messages. Only minor thing was that the website mentioned fishing poles would be available, but the owner said they were unfortunately stolen. But we were able to make the short drive to Walmart in Blairsville for fishing equipment, and all was well! The light fixture over the dining table wasn't in the best condition--lights flickered quite a bit which made puzzle assembly interesting! lol! Everything else in the home was in great working order (but we never used the bidet so that is unknown--haha!) 5 overall stars! (gave 4 stars only for the check-in process because it was somewhat stressful to wait to get the check-in code at the last minute due to our cell phone connection) We had a fabulous 30th wedding anniversary in this beautiful home and created fun family memories with a few of our kids and grandchildren. Thank you so much!

Beautiful, Peaceful, Refreshing, and Comfortable Place Away...that is not TOO far away. :)

First, I would like to commend the owners (especially Kristina) for being very attentive in answering all questions and providing information and accommodations that made our stay even BETTER! (If that could be possible in this beautiful home.) Here's the backdrop - My wife and I honeymooned in Murphy, NC at my Grandfather's cabin. We decided, at the last minute, to search for cabins available in the area. And...up popped this BEAUTIFUL home. As there was plenty of room, we invited our kids to invite a friend, and we then invited the parents of one of the friends to join us on Lake Chatuge. Upon arriving, our one friend (whose parents used to have a cabin between Clayton, GA and Hiawassee, GA) stated, "We used to drive over the bridge for the past 10 years, or more, and we would look up and see that home and think, 'Wow! I wonder who lives in that amazing place!' Now, here we are!!!" AND...IT WAS JUST AS AMAZING AS THEY THOUGHT IT WOULD BE! We enjoyed fires in the fire pits, grilling out for dinner, kayaking every day, and simply relaxing with friends and family as we would gaze at the beauty of the hills and the lake. We drove a short distance, and hiked the trail down to two wonderful waterfalls (High Shoals). We drove to Helen, GA (My wife and I visited Helen back in the 90's, on our honeymoon.) Personally, I felt like Helen has lost a little of it's luster. I don't think I would make that trek again, I am sorry to say. We also took our sons out to golf in the area, and we took them to the county fair grounds to play some basketball. It was all a lot of fun. One recommendation, for those staying or for the owners, was that the stone seating was a bit far from the fire pits. The depth of the pits, and the distance from them, made it difficult to enjoy the warmth of the fire. So, we carried chairs down from the six top, outdoor table, and got a bit closer. We recommend that you do the same. Finally, we hope to go back sometime soon! In fact, upon arriving home, we looked to see if the home was available in July. We usually vacation in July at the beach, but we thought it would be incredible to return to this restorative place and enjoy a summer vacation in the mountains instead! Unfortunately, the home is not available in the summer months. :( Completely understandable! In summary - tell your friends, tell your family, tell yourself...RENT THIS HOME! You will not regret it for one second. Sincerely, The Zielinskis

Lake side cabin

This is a very beautiful home situated right on the lake with boat dock. Two outdoor fire pit with seating and plenty of fire wood to have evening fires. The home has a massive master bedroom and bath on the main floor, two smaller bedrooms on second floor with small shared bath and two bedrooms in basement that share a small bath. Internet is not very good, extremely slow and lots of doors need adjustment so they will close properly. The kitchen stove top needs to be secured properly in countertop so it doesn’t slide around when being used. The pellet stove in dining room doesn’t work. Light in master bedroom comes on by itself when fan is on, which is very aggravating when you want to sleep with fan on and light keeps coming on. Hot water takes forever to get to bathrooms since it is a instant water heater mounted all the way in the garage
