The Kings Stables sits behind our family home. They are the original century old stables that have been fully restored with an edgy and contemporary feel, large enough to sleep a family. The Stables have been finished with polished concrete floors, white washed stone walls and modern amenities whilst maintaining the historic feel of the building. With direct access to a large park with a playground, guest can enjoy the tranquil setting with birds and koalas whilst being within walking distance to hotels, public pool and the Burnside shopping precinct

We had such an amazing time away with the most incredible hosts. The stables have been designed to sleep 6 people comfortably with a beautiful outdoor area perfect for this time of year.
Would recommend this stay people of all ages!
Such a beautiful property to get ready with my bridesmaids and have photos amongst. We felt like we were in the countryside amongst the beautiful facade of the stables. Would be an amazing cosy stay during the cooler seasons.
The house was beautiful and was a great space for myself and bridesmaids to get ready for my wedding. The house has a really relaxed vibe and lots of different spaces to chill out from the large lounge, to outdoor lawn, and beautiful park through the back gate.
The photographer loved it too as there were so many cute backdrops to take photos!

Some quirks with the stables
The King's Stables is very aesthetically pleasing, in a great location for the city and Hills, and Bec (the host) is lovely! There were however a few quirks with the property that I would love to have been aware of before booking.
To access one of the second bedroom, you need to walk through the first bedroom - a bit inconvenient for our group of 6 adults (3 couples). One of the bedrooms does not have any heating - we were told the rooms had heating. It was fine when under the covers at night, but cold at all other times. The fuse blows when a hair dryer or kettle is put on - a bit of a pain when you want to dry your hair or make a cup of tea (we couldn't completely boil the water in the kettle). The single toilet listed is an outhouse. There was lots of hair on the spare blanket so not sure that was cleaned before our stay - I had to pull it off before using it.
The Stables were simply stunning, Rebecca was great to communicate with but also respected our privacy during our stay. Beds comfortable and plenty of space.
We didn’t take our kids but felt it was a great property if you had kids, playground attached to the back and not too many small things to put out of small arms reach.
I would say an information book would be great and maybe some larger towels, but small suggestions to an overall great stay!
Perfect for our Wedding party to get ready and for us to stay the night of our wedding. Such a beautiful place, such a lovely feel to it. Thank you for having us!
Rebecca and Charles were brilliant in all aspects of our stay. The Stables are beautifully presented with a charm and elegance that is memorable. Our family loved celebrating Christmas at the property and would recommend without hesitation.
