Great stay at Lakefront home.

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy property. We had a problem with the kitchen sink when we got there and the owner came right out to fix it. The big yard was great for the kids. The lake was beautiful and the sandy entrance was nice. Overall a great stay

Amazing place!

One of my favorite vacation rentals ever! Location on the lake was beautiful with everything you need to enjoy the lake and close to nearby mountains and river spots. Maria’s response was always immediate from first inquiring about the home and throughout our stay. This home has everything you need - unbelievably well stocked kitchen supplies, towels, sheets, kayak, canoe, wood for firepit - all was amazing! Bike path nearby was great too. And of course the outdoor shower! Pictures do not do this amazing home and location justice! Thank you for a wonderful and thoroughly relaxing vacation!

Has it all

Very clean house, beautiful view from dining table. A perfectly situated property where you can find sun or shade any part of the day. It has a beautiful secluded beach front with a nice shallow incline. The deck and picnic tables next to the house provides a nice clean area for outdoor eating. Overall, it's got it all!

Great Lake House

Our family spent a great week here. The house was perfect for the seven of us, including our three grandchildren. They loved the outdoor shower! The large dining area inside with the expansive view of the lake, and the large deck with table outside, allowed for wonderful family meals. The lake is quiet and beautiful with a nice sand bottom. The location very private, yet convenient to the North Conway area. We highly recommend this home for a fun family vacation.

Great time

The home was nice and clean, not overly cluttered with tchotchkies. The owners maintain their beach, and that extra work was appreciated. There weren't many toys/games for kids, but they had a great time digging in the sand and splashing in the pond.

Perfect for families

Took my wife and two boys here and its such an ideal property if you’re looking for western Maine and lakes region. Nestled on a pond in the woods, it’s a very private and quiet area and the beach area is maintained and shallow making it great for kids. The house has updated kitchen and baths and the photos really don’t do justice to how nice the house and yard is. It’s also about 25 min to North Conway which is loaded with shopping and activities. Fryeburg has a few little gems for stores and restaurants and is most known for their fair in the fall. Had a great time and Already booking our next trip!

The beach was perfect!

A dream setup for my family. With 4 kids under 9 and the grandparents, having our own huge yard and sandy beach to play in everyday was incredible. The house and bedrooms were even larger in person than in the pictures. The outdoor shower was great, we used it all week. Marla was a pro with communication before and during the stay. Can't wait to stay again!

Wow. Just wow.

We have stayed at multiple properties over the past many summers in ME and NH, and this one by far takes the cake. Super clean, HUGE yard, excellent giant private beach if the water levels are cooperative (which they most definitely were during our stay), well stocked kitchen with all the cooking supplies you’ll ever need, and so much more to brag about. Marla was on top of everything and answered all of our questions beforehand in a super timely fashion, and was extremely prompt when we had a question during the stay as well. Location is on point; nice wooded private road down to the property (even saw a deer one morning!), but so close to North Conway and what the White Mountains have to offer. We are already talking about booking next year if the cards are in our favor, and will treasure this family vacation for years to come.

Amazing!

We LOVED our week here and cannot wait to return. The lake is even more beautiful than it looks in the pictures. The house was clean and super comfortable. It had everything we needed and more (great air conditioning and kitchen stuff). The location is great; it feels private yet close to town and all essentials. Host was lovely. Highly recommend!!

Great Location

We were looking for a place we could go during the Covid restrictions where we could go, stay and leave just to have a getaway after months of being home. We were not interested in getting out and about so I have no comments about the area and things to do while in Fryeburg. The cottage and location, however, were perfect! We were able to enjoy the lake using the included canoe and paddle boat as well as the small private beach. The location is very quiet, the cottage and outside area are very well equipped. The owner was very responsive to questions and provided detailed information prior to our arrival. I would definitely return and actually recommended the property to someone while I was there. Thanks Marla!

Great Vacation!

We stayed here for a week in July and couldn’t have asked for a better vacation. The house was spotless, well-furnished and stocked, and the view of the lake was absolutely beautiful. We could not get over how quiet and peaceful it was. We rented a boat for the week and spent the mornings/evenings boating & fishing. It was extremely hot the week we stayed and didn’t get a chance to check out the walking trails. Even with the heatwave, we spent most of our time outside relaxing on the beach or boating. The house is equipped with AC’s and it was always comfortable for sleeping. Marla was so helpful during the booking process and always available to answer any questions. We are looking forward to going back again. Thank you Marla!

Felt like a home away from home

We were very pleased with the property. This is the third time we have stayed. Everything provided, linens, kitchen utensils and even a paddle boat! Property and grounds are immaculate. There is a grocery store and drug store near by and even a bowling alley. Also a pizza shop and Chinese restaurant. Short distance from the outlets at North Conway! We have already raved about this to all our friends. Thank you Steve and Marla for a great vacation.

Wonderful home!!

Our family had a wonderful stay! Marla was lovely to deal with from the first day I inquired. The house was extremely clean and well kept. You could tell the owners take great pride in it. The kitchen was very well stocked and then some! We used the outdoor grill a couple days and there were plenty of utensils for that as well. The lawn area from the house to the lake was meticulously maintained with plenty of chairs for everyone. We used the canoe and paddle boat and brought our own kayak as well. We had lots of fun on the dock too. We didn't use the tv once (which means it was a perfect week!!) we played several games and completed lots of puzzles at the large dining table. The views in the morning toward the pond were simply beautiful! Thank you for sharing your home!!

Wonderful experience!

It is my pleasure to write a review of this fabulous property in Fryeburg, Maine! From the moment we expressed interest in renting, the property owners answered our questions promptly, provided accurate and extensive information on the property and the area, and were absolutely wonderful to work with! When my family arrived at the location, the house was spotless and had all the supplies we needed (towels, fans, bathroom/kitchen supplies, life jackets, etc) to get our vacation underway. The expansive front lawn was perfect for all the kids to play frisbee, tag, catch. etc. and the small beach area and floating dock made for great water play and swimming. I can't say enough great things about this spot! -Katie from Kennebunk, Maine

This one has it all!

The home is very spacious, open, clean & tastefully decorated. It's actually a bit larger than the photos represent. The view from the dining room is amazing with all the windows facing the pond. The view can be seen from the kitchen & living room. My husband was inspired to work on his book & set his laptop in the bay window in the dining room which overlooked the rolling, sprawling lawn & pond with a view of Mt Tom. The private beach has a large sandy area that isn't shown in the pictures & the mountain views are even better from the water, as you get to see the mountains towards the Kangamangus Highway. There is a floating dock offshore, canoe & paddle boat. The water is shallow gradual entry (great for small children) & sandy bottom with sparse rocks. Depth is about 6ft just up to the raft & drops deeper on the mountain side. The yard is landscaped with beautiful plantings, tiki torches, fire pit, multiple sitting areas, a hammock, a swing & even a slack line rope tied between 2 trees which my daughter & I took turns competing to see who could balance/walk the furthest. There is a spacious, private outdoor shower. The master bedroom is very large with a firm but comfortable bed, a washer machine, direct access to the full bathroom & is separated from the other 2 bedrooms by the living room. (privacy) All the beds were comfortable. I literally have not one complaint or suggestion. This is the perfect home for families because there was enough room for everyone to spread out. I've been coming to this area since I was a child & have been renting on homeaway.com for about 12 years now & this is by far the best one yet!

Lovely home and amazing views!

This is a charming home! If you want a quiet, but outdoor vacation, this is the place to stay. Our family enjoyed canoeing and paddle boating on the pond, as well as biking on the rail trail. We were also able to spend a lot of time in New Hampshire, because Conway is only a short drive from this house. The local Maine Weston & Sherman Farm Markets are a must for your produce needs! Will definitely be back to stay on Lovewell Pond!!

Great summer get away!!

We had the most marvelous time at this lake house. The home was immaculate, and had everything needed for an enjoyable stay. The outdoor shower is fantastic, and the second frig in the shed was very handy. The house is spacious, allowing all 10 of us to feel at home and not crowded. The beach is wonderful, loved the paddle boat and everyone enjoyed swimming at the dock. Used the canoe too, and it was fun. Enjoyed making s'mores over the fire pit in the evening, watching the loons on the pond swimming by, and even saw an eagle!! The house is located close to farms for fresh vegetables, close to StoryLand for the children and close to wonderful hiking trails--some in our group went to Crawford Notch for that experience. We found it to be a perfect place to relax, enjoy the outdoors, and spend a great time with family. We are looking forward to another stay there.

Gorgeous house, beautiful gem of a pond

The listing description is perfectly accurate (location, layout, amenities, etc.) , but this spot is even better than described. If you want to experience lakeside life in Maine with mountain views and quiet neighbors, this is perfect. For us, two adults in late 50's with an eleven year old labrador retriever, and tons of family in the Conway area eager to drop in, the building, yard, and water access were heaven. We regularly had half a dozen people for dinner at the long dining room table facing the water view. We also used the double sized picnic table outside for lunch. Each day we swam, jogged up to and along Mountain Rail Trail, walked the dog along the fire lane, used the canoe provided beside the beach, fished and water skied from our boat that we put on the mooring provided,. We gaped at an eagle snatching a fish right off shore, laughed at our 10 year old niece and friend enjoying the two swings, relaxed in hammock, grilled and cooked in the kitchen feasts every night, then made smores over campfire in fire pit, cheered on the US Women's Soccer team to victory in the World Cup on the huge flat screen tv. The wifi was excellent both inside the house and outside on Adirondack deck chairs. One night we used the AC, otherwise just fans: even the pickiest were comfortable and all slept well. In short, the week evaporated. The house and grounds were spotless and carefully maintianed. Marla's emails were to the point, helpful, and friendly. Relatives who visited loved the place, and we hope to be back.
