Birthday Getaway

We loved staying at this cabin with our two small children. It was our 8 yr olds birthday wish to stay in the cabin for the weekend. They loved the swings and the walk to the river. While the youngest one napped the birthday girl was able to get out and explore the surrounding areas. They came back and picked us up and took us to Pruitt’s Landing.

Weekend getaway in the woods

Cabin is cozy and has all you need. Quiet and peaceful. Can hike down to river, close to family friendly hikes as well. Took advantage of the DVDs. Our 14mo old may have rearranged some trinkets. Very pleasant stay overall.

Cutest Cabin Retreat

We love this place. It was our 4th visit, and we hope to return soon. The cabin itself is perfect— it’s cozy, comfortable, quiet, a/c works well, sheets are soft, decor is cute and welcoming. We enjoy going down to the river for the day and just hanging out the rest of the time.

Beautiful respite

Gorgeous property right on the boundary of the Buffalo River National Park, with loads of hiking and other activities. For myself, I benefitted from the natural wooded beauty and a calming place to find some inner peace. Amy, the owner, was lovely and accessible - perfect for this place. All in all, a total gift.

Peaceful Getaway

Grateful the owners let us borrow their home for a couple of days. They were very cordial and communicated well. The cabin was a wonderful getaway. Just a heads up-recent rains have made the entry road a bit rough. We hope to have the opportunity to stay here again!

Relaxing getaway on the Buffalo river

We enjoyed staying at this property during our canoe float on the Buffalo! It had everything we could have ever needed or wanted. The stairs up to the loft bedroom were extremely steep but the kids figured out how to back down them like going down a ladder so all was well! The house was adorable and easy to get to from Jasper while still being quiet and remote on a small dirt road. No highway noise here! We heard a Chuck-Wills-Widow each night and enjoyed the sounds of nature. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

The Pictures Don't Do it Justice

I wish I had more time to write a thorough review (and I'm tempted to not wirte one at all in hopes of keeping this gorgeous jewel all to ourselves!). Exceeded expectations - even had perfect cell phone coverage! Private. New. So beautiful! No negative surprises or disappointments at all. We hope to be back soon (when it's warmer!)

Secluded cabin with cozy and relaxing character

The pictures of this cabin are good but once we saw it in person we were amazed. It is secluded, on a huge wooded lot adjacent to National Park property, and had everything we could have wanted for a relaxing get-away near Arkansas' best hiking trails. The cabin was decorated perfectly such that every room, bed, chair, table, deck, shelf, porch, etc. was comfortable, welcoming, clean, and appealing. No detail was neglected - even the lighting options made us feel welcome (e.g. a lit Christmas tree indoors and another one outdoors at the time of our arrival, the screened-in porch has lighting, a light illuminating the fire pit on the trail down to the river, cozy night lights, under-cabinet lighting in the kitchen, lanterns, flashlights, and candles strategically placed throughout, etc.). I can't imagine a better place to stay in Arkansas for those who are looking for natural surroundings, hiking, relaxation, and fun with family.

Quiet Getaway

The property was easy to find with Waze and extremely clean. The beds were comfortable. It had been unseasonably warm and the fireplace had not been used in a while. After about 3 hours of trying we finally got it lit. It warms up FAST and gets REALLY warm. It is about a 20-minute hike to water going downhill with about a 3 feet drop at one point that is precarious to make. Of course, that means it is uphill all the way back. A VERY strenuous 30 minutes or so back. I wish we would have been told that the fire pit is 50 or so yards downhill from the cabin, not real easy to get to. If you forget anything you want while at the pit (or need to use the restroom), it's strenuous getting back and forth. Overall, it is a quiet getaway in a very nicely kept property. Lots of games, dvds, and books available for entertainment.

Just perfect!

This cabin was exactly what we would imagine as our "home away from home". From the décor, to the layout, to the outdoor spaces, and the amenities, it is just perfect. Each of us had our favorite space, or favorite feature. I enjoyed sitting on the back deck with a cup of coffee. My husband enjoyed watching football on the front porch, with the fire pit and a beverage. Our kids loved the loft and the swings, in addition to the location and the hiking adventures. The beds were all so comfortable, even the kids commented on them! Everything was very clean and looked brand new, definitely well taken care of! I loved that there were even kids' cups, because that's a big deal for parents of little ones! The location is amazing. Close enough to town to grab necessities or a bite to eat, and just off the beaten path enough to feel secluded. The hiking path to the river was great! It was amazing to be able to get down to the riverbank and get a different perspective. We found one of the caves on the property, and that was really neat for all of us! We really appreciated all of the notes and suggestions on activities in the area, and while we couldn't fit all of them into our visit, we know what we need to pencil in for next time! We did make it to Mystic Caverns, which the kids thought was really neat. We also went into Jasper and had lunch at the Ozark Café. Two great suggestions! I wish we could have gone hiking on a trail with a waterfall, but that's for next time. I really cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay was. We can't wait to come back!

Cozy cabin in the woods!!

We had an amazing time during our stay. The cabin was very clean and thoughtfully decorated. It was a great place to come back to after long hiking days. There were several books and pamphlets at the cabin that helped guide us to the most beautiful trails and waterfalls!! This is definitely a place we will return to!!

We love the outdoors, lakes, rivers, hiking and fishing. Love spending time with each other and traveling as much as possible.

Why they chose this property

We loved this area. Jasper is such a small quaint town. Everything is a slower pace and we love it. There is not 1 stoplight in the entire county. Waterfalls are everywhere and tons of hiking options. We also love to Kayak on the Buffalo National River. We may be partial - but it is one of the most beautiful rivers in the U.S.
