Cramped and damp

The floor was concrete with an area rug on it and it was damp. The bathroom had a smell that was not pleasant and it was always damp and at times wet. My friend had terrible allergies while in the room, made worse by the air conditioning and the closeness to the road made for a noisy stay. Not worth the price at all. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Breathe of fresh air!

We LOVED our cabin experience! Everything was clean, the hot tub was such a treat, we canoed around the lake, walked the trail, and disconnected. It was so nice NOT having a tv in the room to distract us. The homemade desserts were a nice touch! Also, the swans on the lake were really cool to see!

Charming Cabin Stay

We spent a warm 2 nights in our cabin and really appreciated the access to the hot tub, which was a big highlight of the weekend trip. We were a little nervous traveling during Covid but the managers made us feel very welcomed, minded our privacy and left sweet delicious treats waiting in our room upon our arrival! Lovely place!

My boyfriend and I wend on a 3 day vacation. Just to see the beauty of snowy Michigan.

We traveled up and down the waters of Michigan. It was absolutely amazing. The cabin at Ellis resorts was great for the 2 of us. It says it sleeps 4 but was a bit crowded with 2 people and 3 days worth of items. The owners we easy to reach and respond promptly. My biggest problem was that when we had our hot tub time the path to get there was non existent. The snow was up to my shins. So not a plesent walk to or from. The cabin doors and windows do need a little TLC as it was well into the negative temperatures and our little cabin did stay drifty. They did provide plenty of blankets though. All in all I cant want to return if they will have us again. This was an absolute lovely place, the town, the resort, the parks. I cant wait to do it again in warmer weather. I hope we will be able to stay at the same place. 100 our of 100 for this amazing, beautiful, private, place.

Sister Getaway

The two of us had a great time. A perfect little off-the-beaten path retreat. It was cozy and the cabin was WARM with extra blankets. Easy to check in and make a hot tub reservation after a day of skiing. It was just what we needed.

Get away.

This was such a great time. The staff was very friendly. We did not have our own fire pit as mentioned in the details but we found one by the lake and no one used that so it was actually better. Rooms were clean and the staffed baked some sweet treats upon arrival.
