The home was comfortable and nicely furnished. Kitchen was well-appointed and the beds were comfortable. Be sure to bring your own hand soaps: hand, dishwasher, dish, laundry, body wash. The welcome package includes a scant amount. We could have asked the management for more but there was only one roll of single ply toilet paper in each of the five bathrooms.
Our stay was fantastic! The house was beautiful and very clean. We enjoyed sitting on the deck talking and relaxing taking in the wonderful view. My family agreed that we would visit again. Also, the agents were friendly and communicated with me from the time of booking through checkout time.
This was as well stocked as any condo we've stayed in ever! It made the kitchen so workable for prepping meals, and the open spaces gave plenty of room for fun times together. Don't miss out on escaping to Island Time!
We really enjoyed our stay at this home. The house is large with plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms for a large group. Loved the extra large dining table and living room. The short walk to the private beach was perfect. We chose the week where there happened to be a cold snap and red flag on the beach but there were areas where the kids could still play in the water and lots of room for sand castles.
About the island…We’re from Oklahoma where hospitality is the norm and we were disappointed to find that the people in this part of the country aren’t as hospitable as we are accustomed to. Some were friendly but a greater majority either don’t like their jobs or don’t want to share the island with visitors. Be prepared, restaurants are limited and you have a bit of a trek to find groceries.
Overall it was a great trip and we enjoyed our stay!
Our family had a wonderful time in the Island Time house. The open concept was great for getting everyone together, but there was plenty of privacy upstairs as well. The views were wonderful from almost every window. The view of the short path across the dunes to the beach was like something from a storybook and the beach was gorgeous. The location is near the town to the east and a short drive from the beautiful sunsets on the west end. We didn’t need to visit any public beaches because the beach behind the house was perfect.
Great location with your own sand walkway to the beach. The Public Beach is close by but the beach in front of the house keeps quiet. The house is setup really nice and we had several great meals and take out from the local restaraunts. We took a fishing charter out and Capt Patric of Ugly Fishing was great!
If I had to make a few suggestions it would be a gas grill instead of charcoal (due to the wind) a few folding beach chairs, and a low-light lighting option for the deck. With that being said we would definitely stay here again.
Trip was nice. There were issues with water leaking. The bath tubs upstairs leaked through the floor/ceiling on the first floor. We notified them and were told it was okay and they knew about some occasional leaking from the overflow on the bathtubs. Kind of odd but it wasnt a big dealm just dont use the bathtubs.
The property is gorgeous. The house is super clean (this is important to us). The kitchen is well stocked. The porch is outstanding, love having lounge chairs to relax in. The furniture is comfortable. The counterspace in the master bathroom is abundant.
There are a few things that we felt need some attention. The king size bed in the master bedroom is not great. The matter pops and squeaks and the mattress is super uncomfortable, we ended up sleeping upstairs (in different rooms) but at least the mattresses up there were very comfortable (and quiet). Also, for the hefty price you pay per night, it would have been nice to have at least two rolls of toilet paper per bathroom. We had to "borrow" a roll from other bathrooms during our stay. There was also no shampoo/body wash, good thing we always bring our own. Finally, there was only one roll of paper towels and no dish washing soap or sponge in the kitchen, and no extra trash bags. Please keep this in mind if you plan to book this property.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to coming back again!
Everyone had a fabulous time at this property. The sun rise and sun sets were spectacular! The property is well maintained and clean. We look forward to staying here again next year.
Couldn't get a better view! Large open floor plan downstairs, beautiful view from the incredible deck. Lots of room for everyone to spread out downstairs. Kitchen is fairly well-equipped, but we did have to go out a get a few things, which we donated to the house for the next folks who rent it. Coffee maker is dual coffee pot and Keurig, which we didn't know beforehand, but is helpful to know.
Huge master suite downstairs, 5 bedrooms upstairs are small and only have room for a bed, one dresser, and one bedside table. Everything was clean and ready for us upon arrival.
Lots of stairs up to the house, and then to go upstairs, so plan for that. Hauling stuff up and down needs to be planned for, because it doesn't happen quickly.
Management responded pretty quickly to needs when we let them know about any issues.
Overall, we were very pleased with the house and thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
This house is perfect to bring a whole family of all ages. We had space on either side of us at the beach for all the kids to explore and generally manage themselves. PRO TIP: Get a ballon tire cart of some sort, the plastic wheeled carts just won't work.

Loved the house. Had plenty of room for all of us to be comfortable. The 4.5 bathrooms were one of the best features. We had 3 adults and 9 kids ( from ages 8 - 16). Beach was just a short walk out the back door and pretty secluded. We enjoyed the extras the house had to offer: Beach toys (boogie boards, buckets, shovels...), charcoal grill and the outdoor shower with hot water. We enjoyed our nights sitting on the balcony listening to the waves. Would definitely stay hear again. Already planning for next year!
