Cozy Bungalow Vibe

Beverly and Tim are great hosts making our stay comfortable and relaxed. Nice clean property with a cozy Key West beach bungalow vibe. Would definitely recomend a stay.

Great deal!

My teen and I just needed a place to chill on our two night trip to see the sights. This place is a great location if you don't want to drive in downtown St.Louis as there is a rail stop (with parking) just a couple blocks away. We rode the rail in and also used it to get around downtown. After a rainy sight seeing trip, the space was nice and cozy.

Perfect little hide-away

It was a very nice place to stay when I was coming into town alone to go to baseball games. Very close to public transit.

I found it to be very clean and quiet. Bed and chairs could have been more comfortable, but for the price it was reasonable. I parked around the corner on St. Vincent. I felt my car was safer there.

Cozy oasis near Webster Campus

Cool clean and comfy stay. This is a single room in the basement of a single family home with its own entrance at the back of the house, off street parking right out front. Fewer than ten minutes drive to Opera Theater St. Louis’s festival playhouse.

Pleasant stay

I was moving my freshman into SLU. Quick 10 minutes on the highway. Note: the parking location has changed, and you must park on the street. The Vrbo pages had not been updated at my reservation time.

Beverly and Tim were great hosts! The place is super cute, clean, and comfy. Very close to dining options and touristic places. I went with my partner to ser the Eclipse, but we were also able to walk around Saint Louis and know more about the city. If we'll come back to St. Louis, we'll definitely be in touch with then again. Very happy to have stayed there :)

The apartment was just as advertised, and I especially appreciated how clean it was. The hosts have thought about what a traveler might need, and they have made a guest feel welcome.

We chose this property for its excellent location, a very short walk from the Shrewsbury train station. Our experience with the St. Louis mass transit system was very positive. We were so happy not to rent a car! Our hosts were very accommodating, letting us leave our luggage for several hours after checking out.

Cozy and Restful

Tim and Bev were excellent hosts and really treated us like members of the family. The apartment was very cheerful, warm and functional. We slept well and felt right at home.

Lovely spot

I was in St Louis to look after my elderly mother. Tim and Beverly could not have been more welcoming. They were so kind, even sweeping my car after it snowed. The cozy basement unit was warm and had enough blankets even during the recent below 0 weather. A great option for a traveller on a budget!

A Wonderful Place

Whether your are visiting for a short or long amount of time this place has everything you need. Tim and Bev are very gracious hosts and a joy to talk with. The House Rules are simple if you think they are excessive you're wrong this is how they maintain such a prestine area. Very quiet and peaceful which is surprising being so close the city. We will be staying here again!

Very well decorated for the "Florida Keys"!!! Had a very large selection of movies!!! Cold water, snacks, and treats were plenty. Microwave for heating or cooking small dishes, leftovers. All amenities worked very well. Enjoyed the hospitality of Host & Hostess.... Would recommend for any couple coming through town..!

We love getting to know people from all cultures, enjoy learning about their languages and love hearing accents from all over. We also love sharing the music from other countries. Beverly grew up in San Francisco, California and Tim's upbringing was in Northeastern Ohio. Our interests include photography, languages, the performing arts, canoeing, backpacking, sailing and kayaking. We currently live in Shrewsbury, MO on the edge of St. Louis city.

Why they chose this property

The property is a block or two away from the city of St. Louis, MO and a mere stone's throw from the Shrewsbury MetroLink transit station. The MetroLink is very affordable and stops at the most in-demand places, like the Arch, Busch Stadium, Central West End, Civic Center, Convention Center, Lambert International Airport, UMSL and Washington University.

What makes this property unique

Along with our interests, we love all animals, but specifically dogs. If you have a little non-yappie, house-trained, well-behaved dog, we would love to include your pet as one of our guests.

Also, our accommodations are unique with a Key West/ Caribbean theme. We are the unofficial Midwest Consulate of Key West, promoting tourism and commerce with Key West.
