Experience lake living at our Little Blue Barn with beautiful views of Lake Erie from the covered front deck and lake lookout. Enjoy our lake access and small beach. The beach is small and rocky at the moment but hopefully sandy come summer. A large sandy public beach is a 5 min drive. 3 bedrooms with plenty of room for a family. Fires on the beach or fire pit in yard. Swim, fish and boat all summer! Unfortunately, no pets. Amazing summer holiday on the water or cozy winter retreat.
Our house has 3 small bedrooms, 1 bathroom with a shower stall. You will love our open concept vaulted ceiling living, dining and kitchen area. Our rustic barn doors and decorations will make you feel like you have gone back 100years. We have a fireplace for cold weather days and fires in the big backyard are most enjoyable. Our back yard can be used for outdoor games. Lakeshore Rd. Is one of the best around for biking and runs along the lake for 20 km to the East and 10 km to the west. The beach that we own is across a small road that has infrequent traffic. Fish can be caught right off the shore in the early season. Swimming is a must and you are encouraged to bring your kayaks or stand up paddle boards. As the beach/shore is rocky please bring your beach shoes. At times in the season we can get algae at the shoreline but it usually pushed to one side. Unfortunately the conditions lakeside are out of our control. There is a small deck with seats to enjoy the sunset and a stunning view of the small island. A large public access sandy beach is a 5 min drive. Care with children is a must. Unfortunately, we can’t accommodate pets. We prefer a minimum 7 day Saturday to Saturday booking in the summer as this is our peak season.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property! The hosts were so friendly, accommodating and super responsive. Our kids loved the little island off the beach which is just across the street from the home. There is also a public beach about 5 minutes down the shore that was perfect for swimming and hanging out on the sand. The cottage was clean and had all the basics. Large back yard as well which was perfect for wiffle ball! You won’t be disappointed if you book a stay here!
We had a great time at this cottage decorated in a rustic theme that we loved. The lake was right across the road with an easy access to a nice little beach. The hosts Mark and Lisa were so nice and responded right away if we had any concerns.
Once again Mark and Lisa are wonderful hosts! Our family loves returning to the Blue Barn. Going to miss afternoon coffee on the front porch watching the lake and birds. Mornings at the little private beach hunting for beach glass. Sunsets by the fire watching the stars come out and satellites shoot across the sky. We love renting the little bunkie as well so that family has an extra room to stay in! Looking forward to coming back.
Love it here, close to our home in Niagara…away from crowds and has the farming charm of Haldamd/ Selkirk county. This is our second family vacation to this property… we love this place ❤️ Mark and Lisa are wonderful hosts. Clean, quiet, beautiful from morning to night even when the lake is rough… the yard offers plenty to do if you enjoy activities outside (biking, hiking, finding lake glass and fossils on the beach ❤️) . I look forward to many more trips here in the future 😃
My husband and I needed to destress in this stressful time (covid). We both worked through this whole thing and wanted to just unwind. We took long walks listened to music and played various games. Our son and grandson came for the last 2 days and had a great time as well. Angie & Matt Whalen
