We enjoyed the area , Niagara Falls is a must see ! The rental was just okay , seemed to have what we needed . A nice grocery store across the street was great! But it is on a very busy street !! The home however, needs some repairs and furniture/ appliances replaced .

Buffalo Retreat

Quaint home

Although temp was in the 20s outside, initially, the home's furnace would not heat the home. Host sent out a tech in reasonably short order and once the very dirty furnace filter was removed, furnace began working. As snow was expected overnight, I attempted to use the salt in bucket near front door only to find it largely solidified and unusable. The next morning, I attempted to shovel snow but the plastic shovel broke. In general, the home could use a bit more attention to maintenance needed.

Great Stay!

Our family of five enjoyed our stay here with plenty of room for everyone. The house was clean, the beds were comfy, and having Dash's Market across the street was definitely an added bonus. We would stay here again!

Tired house

Location was good. House is very tired and marginally equipped at best. On plus side the beds were comfortable and the bathrooms and kitchen had been updated. On the minus side there was minimal lighting on the main floor, the floor transitions from room to room were a tripping hazard, the driveway is at a 30 degree incline and the house is delapidated. I wouldn’t rent it again or recommend it to others

The house is a charming craftsman style home with lots of character. It was convenient to everything. There was a great food market and cafe across the street. Tons o f restaurants within a 2 mile radius. We rented it for an out of town family weekend. Plenty of room for 6 adults. Updated bathrooms, washer/dryer, gas fireplace and large smart TV. The house felt very homey. It was just what we were looking for. I would definitely rent this place again

Family visit

The house on Hertel was charming and perfect for our visit with family in Buffalo. There is a great store across the street call Dash’s. We had our two small dogs and it was a great house with a fenced yard. The house was well appointed, loved the dish drainer, coffee maker and other small touches. The beds and pillows were comfortable too. Overall, a perfect place and location.

Spring getaway

House was exactly as listed. Great location for visiting son at UB. Dash’s supermarket across street was so convenient. House stocked with many necessities. I brought some pots and gadgets from home and was surprised that house had them all. I didn’t need to use any of my pots. It’s an old charming house and bedding was so comfortable. It was a great home to hangout in! Fed my sons college roommates on Easter. Thanks again for a safe beautiful stay!

Thanksgiving Gathering Accommodation

This house is right across from Dash's supermarket, which is a great supermarket, and makes it convenient to get stuff for our Thanksgiving feast! It has 3 BR and 1 full bath upstairs, and an extra bedroom off the kitchen and 1 bathroom downstairs. Water pressure was good, hot water was plentiful. Upstairs bathroom would be perfect if it has towel racks and hooks. Kitchen has good cooking equipment, but could use an improvement on plates and cutlery. Thank you, we had a very nice stay and would book this house again when we visit Buffalo next time.

Good Location For Exploring Buffalo

Clean and comfortable vintage craftsman house. Three bedrooms and newly renovated full bath upstairs. Living room, dining room, full kitchen, 2nd but smaller full bath, and high end laundry downstairs . Exercise room with daybed downstairs. Very nice back porch deck, small yard, and nice gas grill. Inspiring art throughout the house. Very nice full supermarket directly across the street. Wine/liquor store nearby. Several restaurants close by. Centrally located for Buffalo sites of interest.

A fine place

Overall, the place is nice. Neighborhood is cool, and proximity to tacos and a supermarket is great! The air conditioning was an issue. I booked because it had central air conditioning and downstairs it was nice and cool, but upstairs in the bedrooms it was very hot. One of the window units didn’t function. So it was just very hot sleeping upstairs, one member in our party ended up sleeping downstairs on a couch. So it was a minor hassle. If this isn’t an issue for someone wanting to stay here, then I would recommend.

Great family reunion spot

This was the perfect house for our family (three siblings & spouses) to get together after 20 months apart. The furniture was comfy, the house was well laid out, beds were great & the bathrooms were recently remodeled. The only caveat is for older adults: the stairs to the second floor (as in all older homes) are steep! Being across the street from the grocery store was a boon; not a problem if you forget something! We enjoyed our stay; thanks for hosting us!

Cool Character, Fun Location

We had a great multi-night stay here and enjoyed our time! Hertel Avenue was a fun neighborhood; the Dash's grocery store right across the street was such a convenient amenity; and everything with the house and property was good. Interesting decor, books, and art throughout the home, too.

Cute house in convenient location
