My husband and I were looking to get away and just relax for the week. David was amazing, made us baked goods twice that were delicious! We ended up having to leave early but David was very understanding. We would one hundred percent stay here again! His house was clean, accommodating and beautiful.

Winter Wonderland
This was a beautiful riverside spot that we spent a relaxing weekend in Feb. enjoying the local spa areas and using the hot tub as much as possible. David was a fantastic host and helped make the stay easy. Would recommend and keep an eye out for the bald eagle that flew by a couple times when we were there!

Wonderful fall get away
The 6 of us had a wonderful weekend at Sunrise Cabin. David's home is beaytifully maintained and stocked! He's an amazing host responding to any questions within minutes and surprising us with treats also!!

a Cozy Cabin MUST-stay!
We had an absolutely fantastic weekend getaway at this charming home! Despite the chilly winter weather, the house's hot tub provided the perfect way to stay warm and relaxed. The house itself is beautiful, showcasing lovely cabin features like knotty pine walls and ceilings, with an inviting electric fireplace that added to the cozy atmosphere. The combination of rustic charm and modern amenities made our stay both comfortable and memorable. We couldn't have asked for a better place to unwind and enjoy a winter retreat. Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking for a relaxing and cozy escape! We'll be back in the summer to take advantage of the river and all its amenities!

Great 4th of July weekend stay
We had a great weekend. The host was so sweet and left us breakfast bread on the porch and the last day left cookies for the kids. He even took us out for a ride on his pontoon boat. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The kids loved swimming in the river.

Or family enjoyed our stay. Beautiful spot right on water. When the sun appeared on our last day it sparkled on ice floating by. This cabin provided what we needed. Perfect clean space.

Perfect relaxing stay!
The Sunrise Retreat was a perfect relaxing stay! The house is extremely comfortable with everything you could need. It is located directly on the river and we saw a bald eagle several times! David had a kayak, canoe, and paddleboard on site and our kids were in and out of the water all day! It was a short drive to Lake George and several spots to hike! David even took us out on his boat. Super easy to check in (he even left cookies)! Highly recommend!

Celebration trip
I was looking for a relaxing waterside house for my family to celebrate several major milestones in my family. The Sunrise cabin was perfect. Clean, roomy, well stocked kitchen, and fun water craft to use on the river. It’s close to other attractions too. David, the host, was available if we needed anything. I will miss greeting the ducks each morning while sipping my coffee by the river.

Eclipse 4/8/24
We took the opportunity of the eclipse to make a getaway to the Adirondacks! David’s Sunrise Cabin was exactly as listed with very accurate pictures. It was neat, clean and tidy and so very peaceful! The Hudson was mirror still and we enjoyed all the birds and water fowl that visited with us. The Wood ducks were especially entertaining. We felt very at home and relaxed, it was so nice to sit by the outside fire and reconnect before enjoying some board games. David’s homemade cookies were a bonus! Would definitely stay here again.

Great Location , Comfortable and accessible
The cabin is surreal. We enjoyed two days of stay. We were greeted with some great home baked cookies and also delicious wildberry breads the next morning . The location is perfect for a lakeside stay, it had a kayak and canoe included along with safety gear. We used the canoe multiple times during our stay. David is a great host, he is very friendly and is always available for any questions/queries. I highly recommend staying here if you are visiting lake george area. This place is very convenient for nearby lakes and hikes. 5/5

Employee Retreat
This was really a beautiful property. We stayed for a short writing retreat for our media team. We arrived late the night the day before our work began. David left the lights on for us and we were greeted with fresh homemade cookies! There were plenty of places to sit so we could move around while writing. The water was beautiful and everyone was friendly. We were able to have our groceries delivered to the house which was very convenient. We all enjoyed our stay and are excited to return.

Great house, great location, great host
Great house with roomy open concept common areas. Everything was clean and in working order. Everything you would need was provided for use for cooking, dining and relaxing. Great location right on the bank of the Hudson River. Fished off the dock and from the canoe. Sit on the deck, watch the ducks and enjoy nature. Close to Saratoga Springs and Lake George. We have stayed at many house rentals with family and/or friends, but Dave was the best host by far. Great communicator and very responsive. Looking forward to coming back.

Wonderful vacation home and location and terrific owner. A pleasure!
This beautiful, fresh, immaculate, uncluttered, spacious, central air, waterfront home was perfect for gathering with family and enjoying all the natural beauty of the area. The house was well stocked to accommodate all of our needs. The deck was perfect for relaxing overlooking the river and listening to music from the Echo Dot. Our boat ride on the Hudson was delightful and refreshing. We enjoyed jointly prepared meals with family utilizing the gas grill and well stocked kitchen and ample indoor and outdoor seating. Our evenings were filled with puzzles and games from our host’s collection. We would have loved to stay longer to enjoy the many attractions the area has to offer for all ages. One of the best parts of our stay was our host, David, who was so welcoming and accommodating and a wonderful conversationalist. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank You.

Bliss!
Our stay at David’s home was absolutely wonderful. We have stayed in many VRBO’s and without a doubt this five star. The house is so clean and there was plenty of kitchen supplies for whatever you want to cook. Cleaning supplies were well stocked and a box of tissues in every room. We were greeted with yummy homemade chocolate chip cookies, and then surprised with delicious morning glory cake. The Location is amazing. The Hudson River is literally in the backyard. We did some fishing and had a lot of fun. We saw bald eagles, baby chicks with their momma, geese, chipmunks, hummingbirds… So wonderful. The location is nice and private, but just a 10 to 15 minute drive and you're in town where the restaurants and stores are. David is a great host. He offered us a ride on his boat and hung out for a little bit and we had a great chat. David is good people :-) Next time we’re looking for a getaway in the Adirondacks we would definitely come back.
