We enjoyed our stay at the Canary Cottage. Aside from some general street noise at night, we loved the lively, artsy vibe from being right on Main Street. Plenty of restaurants and sights to see. The Vrbo had everything we needed for a lovely stay.
I went with my mom on a girls trip, both of us have never been to Kentucky. The hosts were so intentional with the stay, providing kitchen supplies, things to do, a home with all these little touches that were just perfect, etc. Covington is gorgeous. The street was completely safe and the shops/ restaurants were fantastic. The only thing I would say to be aware of is parking is just slightly difficult to navigate, but once we figured it out, we were able to get to the back lot with no problems. I highly, highly recommend staying at this property!
The property location is FABULOUS. We were comfortably within walking distance of anything in Covington. There were lots of restaurants and shops nearby. We were within reasonable walking distance of Cincinnati, too.
The unit is clean and updated. The bed was very comfortable and it was nice to relax and watch a movie in bed. The kitchen is well equipped. There is no dishwasher, but that’s no big deal.
The one thing I’d highly recommend to the owner is increasing the provided linens. There is no mat or towel for the bathroom floor, so we had to use a washcloth to step on outside the tub (which is obviously not sufficient). There were no kitchen wash rags provided, so we had to use a bathroom washcloth for dishes. There was a scrubby, but you also need rags to properly wash dishes. There were only two very thin kitchen drying towels and no drying mat for the dishes. I’d recommend either a drying mat or more towels since there is no dishwasher. There were only two shower towels provided. While this is enough to survive, four would be more appropriate.
Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely rent from this owner again.

This was a wonderful old building, and right in the middle of a large restaurant/entertainment area. Everywhere we ate was very good, and everyone we met was friendly and outgoing. We Love the Cov, and are planning on moving here this summer.
My boyfriend and I went up for a quick ski trip at Perfect North which was about 30 mins away. The Mainstraus neighborhood is super cute, had brunch and coffee shops, and is relatively close to everything downtown. The place was clean, easy to access, parking was simple and the bed was SUPER comfy! LOVED IT. Thank You So Much!
Great little apartment/house with easy access to Cincinnati
My wife and I stayed at this property for a week. The house is in Covington with easy walking access to some bars/restaurants and a coffee shop and also easy access to downtown Cincinnati. The house is split into multiple apartments with this one opening to Main Street. The kitchen is pretty tight, but has a full oven/range and full size fridge (no dishwasher though), but we didn’t find that all that necessary anyway. Bathroom was a decent size and the only bedroom is quite large. The bed was extremely comfortable. Our only (minor) complaint inside the apartment was that we wished ‘black out liners’ were hung in the bedroom windows as they are open to the alley between this house and next door and there’s a flood light right outside the windows. Lastly, while there is parking for the house, it’s behind the building as part of 4 spots accessed via an alley. Cars or a small SUV could access this spot, however, if you drive something larger (like my F150), you won’t be able to park there. I could only get down the alley with my side mirrors folded in and couldn’t make the turn to get into the spot. Luckily there is street parking nearby.
The property and location are very convenient and nice to stay at!
The property is nice, convenient to everything, and a reasonable price. The one bedroom is huge and comfy, bathroom is big, and it's definitely a nice place.
CONS: PROPERTY MANAGER LIVES ON SITE! There was a misunderstanding regarding a disturbance and my reservation was unexpectedly cancelled and I had to scramble to find a place to lay my head. The owner never spoke with me, he texted me the night before and said he got a noise complaint and asked them to keep it down, which we did.
The next day he texted us to vacate the premises at 7:30am and he never contacted me after that or spoke directly with me. I've never been evicted from an Air BNB and I've been using them since 2015 with NO complaints!
