Fantastic Location and Host

The sun rises over the foot of your bed! This is a cute little gem; fantastic both as simply a place to enjoy the beauty of the Penobscot Bay or as a jumping off point for sights along the coast. Thanks!

Lovely cottage

Our family loved staying here as a jumping off point for the mid-coast area. It was a short drive to towns like Camden, Belfast, and Rockland as well as state parks that we enjoyed. Our kids loved the beach (accessible by walking down a very steep road) and had fun swimming at high tide and exploring the coastline at low tide. The house was just as shown in the photos and clean. The only downfalls were the extremely sloped ceilings in the 2nd floor (especially in the shower, where family members taller than 5'5" couldn't stand up), the very squeaky floorboards (which woke the rest of the family up), and how sticky the cookware and dishes were upon our arrival. This was a lovely cottage with friendly neighbors and beautiful scenery, with relatively short drives to restaurants, grocery stores, and shops.

We are a family from the Portland area. We have an affinity for the coast of Maine after moving up to this beautiful state from Boston.

Why they chose this property

This property has it all and is so cozy! A short walk to the beach, a grill, gas stove, etc. Modern amenities but it feels like you stepped back in time.
