About this property

Summer, Fall, come to a beautiful area of New Hampshire.

For the summer months a cozy cottage on Broad Bay, Ossipee Lake NH. This cottage has 100 ft of private beach. You will enjoy swimming in this beautiful clear lake. There is a dock that will hold a 20 ft boat. Bring your own or rent one from a marina. Use the paddle boat to explore the area or enjoy some time in the two kayaks and 2 paddle boards included with the cottage. An early morning kayak ride to the nearby channel or one of the coves is very enjoyable. There is a fire pit to enjoy the evenings by the fire.
On the first level of the cottage there is a bedroom with one queen sized bed. A large well appointed kitchen with a large island for food prep and two stools for seating.
There is a sun porch with a twin size bed that has a twin size trundle under for more sleeping. The other end of the sun porch has a cozy sitting area with two recliners and rocking chair. The sun porch leads to a sun deck. A great place to enjoy your morning coffee. The living room contains a couch, tv with streaming and two recliners. The dining area has a large table to hold 8 people. There is also a bathroom with walk in shower and a laundry room with a stack washer/dryer for your use.
A spacious lower level with a bedroom with a queen size bed, a bathroom with a walk in shower, and a living room with a 55 in tv. And nice table for playing games and cards.
Also at the lower level is a screened in porch with a couch that has a footstool that can make it a lounge and a matching chair. There are also three large rocking chairs to sit in while listening to the loons in the evening, watching beautiful sunsets or just reading and relaxing.
We have a cleaning service come in between rentals and we use d disinfectant also.
As beautiful as this lake is in the summer September is a beautiful time of the year. In
September the lake is quieter with less boat traffic. This makes kayaking and paddle boards even more enjoyable. Give September a thought when deciding when to vacation at Franks Cottage. We will take renters through fall holiday weekend. It seems we have some of the most beautiful days in September and the beginning of October.

Love the lake life!

This is the 3rd year staying at Frank's cottage. What a fantastic spot. The beach front and fireplace are fantastic. Having the dock for my boat, and proximity to all of the different places to boat are great. Dianne is an excellent host and very easy to communicate with. Loved staying here again!

A Perfect Stay

We stayed at Dianne’s house for two weeks. It is a beautiful place on a small cove on Ossipee and we fell in love with it! The house was perfect for us with plenty of room and a real family atmosphere. You can feel the family history in Dianne’s home. We sat by the water and swam every day, went paddle boarding numerous times, fished and saw friends who also live on the lake. It was such a peaceful vacation and we honestly wanted to stay forever. Dianne is a wonderful host and is very responsive. We highly recommend both Dianne and her beautiful home!

Fantastic spot

Frank's cottage is on a nice quiet cove on Lake Ossipee. The house is well set up for a family to visit. It was great to have a dock to bring my 20ft speed boat to. If you enjoy lake living, this is a great find. Also the owner Dianne is very responsive to any questions you may have 5 stars for sure!

The Bays at Ossipee Lake

We stayed here for 2 weeks and had the best time. The house was great and any questions we had were answered immediately. It was so relaxing and had everything that we needed already there. Host was so great. We can’t wait to book this again next year

A Final Hoorah to the Covid 2020 Summer

Typically, my family (2 adults, 2 children (7, 9 y.o.) like to do a lake vacation, but this year we were torn. As the school year got pushed back, we decided to book a last minute lake vacation as our final hoorah. This property met all of our criteria - VERY CLEAN (and sanitized), perfectly located, and a super friendly and helpful host. There was a dock for our 21 ft boat, a outdoor fire pit to close out our evenings, several bedrooms to accommodate our kids and their schedules, and a beautiful room overlooking the lake (a perfect start to each day)! Ossipee Lake itself is absolutely lovely. Very clean, beautiful homes along the lake, and plenty of spots to jump off the boat and swim. There was a sandbar just minutes from the house as well. We booked from Sept 5th - Sept 12th (starting Labor Day weekend) and it felt like we had the entire lake to ourselves which we really enjoyed. Great tubing, water skiing, and paddle boarding. The homeowner allows you to use a lot of her water toys as well.

Beautiful!!!!

The photos don't do the property justice. The house is huge and beautiful! Plenty of things to do, we rented a boat and had a blast on the lake. All the appliances are new and hi tech. I can't recommend this place enough!

great place to unwind

The pictures don't do the home justice, the cottage was much bigger than it appeared in pictures, plenty big enough for the adults and kids with us. First walking in, the place was extremely clean and with covid I felt safe. It seemed like the place was cleaned very well. The kitchen was very big with udated appliances and had everything we needed for the short stay (we hope to stay longer next time). Opened up to a nice size living room and dining room with a very nice sun porch. Downstairs was recently redone and it had a full bath, nice bedroom, living room and kitchen type area with a wet bar and wine fridge which was perfect for the adults to come down and play cards while the kids were asleep so as to not disturb them. It also had an enclosed screened in porch which is where I spent my mornings with my coffee, kindle and the lake. The grandkids spent the day out in the cove in the paddleboard and we enjoyed the kayaks also. Although one of the paddles was broken so made the single handle a little difficult but we managed. The beach area fit our needs. My only complaint was how small and old the grill was. I certainly hope to be back. Thank you Frank's cottage for a wonderful few days away. Oh and property manager was very responsive and actually reached out to us to let us know how to start the little heaters if needed as the nights were chilly. Didn't need it, but very thoughtful. Hope to be back.

Perfect Location

This was a perfect location to spend a week on Lake Ossipee. The back yard was right in a private cove where you could walk out into the water for a private swim away from boat traffic. There was a dock available for a boat/jetski as well. Inside the house was bigger than expected with plenty of room for the 7 people staying for the week. Dianne was easy to communicate with and always quick to reply. I plan on going back in the future.

Frank's cottage is a great find on Ossipee

This cottage is on a fantastic part of Ossipee Lake. The cove you are in is pretty quiet, and having a dock for my 20 ft Lake cruiser was very convenient. The house is spacious, easily fit myself and my two adult children. The outside deck was perfect for morning coffee and reading a book. Dianne was great, she provided all the info I needed before I arrived, and easy to get a hold of. One of the best places I have stayed, would definitely rent again.

About the host

This cottage has been in the family since 1957. We updated a small cottage to the larger home that I lived in for 20 yrs. We redid into a year round home in 2002 and redid the lower level in 2019. My family has enjoyed this cottage for many years and now we are sharing with you.

Why they chose this property

My parents built this cottage in 1957 for a family vacation house. They, with some friends, built it themselves.
In 2002 I convinced dad to join me for year round living at the lake. Dad and I enjoyed our time together there,.
In 2019 we redid the downstairs, that had been dad’s apartment. It now boasts a beautiful living room, game area, bedroom, bathroom and wet bar. This cottage has been the source of wonderful times with kids and grandkids and now we share it with you.

What makes this property unique

The cottage is located on Broad Bay Ossipee Lake. It is close to the Sandbar where boaters enjoy socializing. But not close enough to be heard here. We are about 5 miles from King Pine skiing area, 25 miles from N.Conway to enjoy outlet shopping, many unique shops and places to dine.
We are 6 miles from the Maine border and 6 more miles takes you to the little town of Cornish ME that has 3 wonderful restaurants. Fairgrounds with the largest sports bar in Maine, Bay Haven with wonderful seafood and Krista’s a neat little place beside the Ossipee River.
