Ligonier Gem

This property is absolutely charming! Creekside, fire pit, beautifully appointed, comfortable furniture, kitchen stocked with all necessities…it really had everything for a girls’ getaway! The owners were great to work with and made lots of suggestions for restaurants and things to do. Hiking at Linn Run State Park was fantastic! Will definitely be back!!

Great scenery in a wonderfully restored home.

We've stayed in this house several times, and it always makes for a relaxing getaway in a quiet creekside setting. It's also relatively close to downtown Ligonier, which has several different restaurants to scope out if you're willing to drive a little. I really appreciate that the space has been updated and nicely decorated while still maintaining much of the character of an older structure. A highly recommended stay.

Cozy Cabin Retreat with Scenic Views and Family-Friendly Charm!

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! It was conveniently located and had a fantastic layout, perfect for our large family gathering of nine. The space was comfortable and well-suited to our needs.Although the stream was frozen during our visit, we could easily imagine how enjoyable it would be in nicer weather. We’re already planning to book again during another season to fully enjoy the outdoor space. That said, we still made use of the outdoor fireplace on our last night, which was a cozy highlight. While there’s also an indoor fireplace available, we didn’t use it as I don’t usually feel comfortable using someone else’s fireplace. One of the unexpected joys was watching deer from the kitchen window as they wandered along the hillside—a peaceful and beautiful sight that added to the charm of our stay.During our visit, we also enjoyed the Ice Festival in town, which was a fun experience. We dined at Unity Brewery and Carol & Dave’s Roadhouse—both had great food at reasonable prices.Overall, this cabin made for a memorable getaway, and we look forward to returning!

A wonderful place for a weekend away

My friends and I stayed here for a quiet, Taylor Swift themed weekend. We had so much fun just hanging out in the common areas or around the fire pit outside. The house is close to town and was conveniently located. It was so easy to chat with Justin and Noelle when a question came up. We all agreed we’d love to stay here again!

Perfect Weekend Getaway!

Our family had a wonderful stay from the moment we stepped inside this lovely cottage. The interior was very clean and decorated nicely. We made full use of the kitchen for meals and enjoyed the tranquil outdoor setting with long, cozy evenings by the fire. The Pie Shoppe and The Country Cupboard are definitely worth a visit. We will definitely return to this perfect gem!

Fox Haven was the absolute perfect place for our stay! We were in the area for a reunion of old friends/coworkers at Linn Run State Park. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. It was neat to see the photos from before and during the renovation. The outside fire pit and creek area were enjoyed by all. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to others!

Host profile image
Justin and Noelle Weaver are the architect and designer team of BLC Property LLC. They currently own this vacation rental property and use it as a retreat.

Why they chose this property

Ligonier is special to the couple as Justin's great-great-grandfather built a cottage near the Loyalhanna that brought generations to the Laurel Highlands. As Pittsburgh's outdoor playground the natural surroundings of the region including small towns, bakeries, museums, parks and markets make going to Ligonier a retreat that takes you back to a simpler time.

What makes this property unique

"There is something magical about the Laurel Highlands area. You feel God's presence as you look around and see such amazing natural beauty. I fell in love the day Justin took me to Ligonier, and now it is in my blood. Getting a property that is so special is a blessing I never could have imagined. It is a place that Justin and I want to bless others, where they can come to be refreshed." - Noelle Weaver
