Situated on a 700 acre farm, 2.5 hours South West of Sydney and 1.5 hours from Canberra sits The Shed in Chatsbury.

Originally a shearing shed, the space has taken on new life as a freshly converted farm stay.

The shearing shed is complete with an outdoor kitchen including a built in bbq and pizza oven. The location offers a large outdoor deck and fire pit area with views to undulating paddocks with well maintained pastures. For the colder nights, the home boasts 2 open fireplaces, as well as air conditioning.

With plenty to do in the area & space to unwind taking in fresh country air - The Shed in Chatsbury is the perfect escape from the city.

What a great property ! We absolutely loved our stay here. The furnishings were tasteful and the whole place had such a homely and warm feeling. The outlook is lovely and it’s far away enough from town for peace and quiet but still close enough for shopping if needed. We will definitely be back !

Amazing Country Retreat

Had an amazing time with our family and 2 dogs! House is huge with plenty of space and character. Fireplaces kept the house very warm and was ample firewood for the outdoor fire pit and the pizza oven! Huge fenced yard was great for our toddler kids and the dogs to run around. Was very peaceful and private, with the only visitors some black Angus cows :) Cannot wait to comeback.

Perfect getaway

Had a wonderful and relaxing time at the shed. The fire kept the house warm on the -2 mornings. Rosey was very prompt with any questions i had. It was amazing to have the pizza oven, and cooked on it twice during my stay. Would definitely recommend this property to family and friends for a peaceful getaway from the city.

Lovely pet friendly property

The house was a lovely space for us and our two dogs. Beds were comfortable, the kitchen was a lovely big open space and the heating was amazing. Downside was the cost, cleanliness of the kitchenware (dishwasher doesn't work too effectively) and that, despite being on a 700 acre property, we felt confined to the yard around the house or walking dogs up on the dirt road. The fences did not contain the dogs either - they were able to get through them and into the paddocks. Overall a pleasant stay, would recommend to family and friends with pets and potentially a larger group.

Unplug & Relax

A great property on a lovely cattle farm. Lots of space inside and out and my dog loved it. Cows come and go throughout the day, lots of birds to watch and its so relaxing to just stare at the rolling hills. Great place to unwind as its so peaceful. Telstra reception worked, Optus didn't. There is a t.v but couldn't pick up a signal so the pool table and books came in handy. Wonderful place to get away from city life.

Great holiday experience

The house was great, really nice size and fitf two families with small children. Nicely furnished, clean and tidy. Our dog enjoyed the stay too and it had a good fenced area for her. Reasonably well equipped although the bbq didnt seem to get up to heat. Pizza oven was great and we enjoyed the pool table. Only other issue was a broken lock on the bathroom door, mostly an issue as we had small kids who kept bursting into bathroom unexpectedly. Everything else great. Beautiful views and a real country escape. Would highly recommend.

We had a lovely weekend at The Shed! It is very spacious and clean, and we loved using the Pool table and Woodfire Pizza oven. It was also very quiet & peaceful at night under the stars. As an added bonus we were happy to find fresh eggs in the morning from the cute chickens. 10/10 would recommend!

Such a great place and not far from Sydney

We had an amazing time - the fireplaces kept us warm all through our stay and everything was so clean and neat. It was much bigger than we expected so a pleasant surprise . As someone mentioned before more bowls and mugs please - there was no enough for our party of six and no vegetable peeler or can opener? These little things did not take away from the fabulous time we had here .

Serenity

Had a wonderful stay. So quiet and restful. Found ourselves having naps during the day. Away from everything, traffic, noise, people. It was only a couple of nights, but it has re energised us. Liam & Lotte very friendly and also let us know when a cattle truck was coming in to unload.

Super clean, comfortable and relaxing

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone wanting to take a break from their busy lives. We taught our son to play pool, enjoyed pizza fresh from the wood fired oven, eggs from the chooks and even got to see some cows being loaded for transportation on this working cattle farm. Liam and Lotte were a pleasure to deal with and we’d definitely consider visiting again. A few more plates, cups and glasses would be a recommended addition so that guests could use the dishwasher rather than wash up between each meal - but that was the only way it could be improved. Super comfy chairs, lounge, beds and the hanging chair on the deck was very popular with our family. Thanks for your hospitality!
