About this property

Large luxury cottage with hot tub sauna high speed Internet near Mont-Tremblant

Whether you like to hit the mountain trails, enjoy the night sky or plunge into a pure clean lake after a nice soak in a hot tub and cleansing sauna or just quiet time our spacious home awaits you. Our home ("La Maison Jolie") is an oasis nestled in the aspens, hemlocks, great white pines and cedars. It is perfectly located for the enjoyment of all outdoor (and indoor) activities, summer and winter. Once you arrive you won't want to leave. Enjoy our well-appointed, bright home with comfortable seating and original art throughout. Relax in our hot tub and sauna and tranquil atmosphere overlooking crystal clear Lac Joly or by one of our 3 fireplaces (one wood-burning and two gas) or spend a romantic evening in one of our Jacuzzi tubs for two. Our gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with high-end appliances and every tool and utensil for the gourmet cook. The "open-concept" Great Room is where your group can play andrelax together. We have an outdoor, built-in, gas BBQ just off the kitchen which is covered from the weather. It has the living room, dining room, kitchen, bathrooms and laundry all on one floor for easy entertaining. All the rooms in the house with the exception of one bathroom have spectacular lake views. Imagine waking up and seeing the lake from your bed or making dinner while looking at the deer crossing the ice covered lake! There are also several balconies from which to sit outside and enjoy the spectacular views. Our lake water is crystal clear and pure but to add to your safety we have a Viqua UV drinking water purification system.
We have ultra-high-speed fibre optic internet service. When you phone is on wifi mode you will enjoy excellent cell phone service.

The lake is perfect for swimming, fishing, kayaking, and canoeing in the summer and for a nice stroll in the winter. There are two docks, and a small walk-in entrance to the water. There is dockside space for a motorboat (not provided). Games are provided for those inclement weather days. In the winter you can cross-country ski, snow shoe or toboggan on or near the property.

We care about our environment and your comfort and have installed a state of geothermal central air and heating system with air purification and humidity control. This has dramatically reduced our carbon footprint. For downhill skiers, the property is conveniently located a short drive from both Mont-Tremblant and Mont-Blanc. The Petit Train du Nord with its beautiful bike / cross country trails is a 3-minute drive away. There are many spectacular hiking trails but you can also enjoy bird watching right from your balcony. Our local grocery store (a 5 minute drive) stocks everything you need (with onsite bakery, butcher, fresh veggies and a beer/wine/liquor store) in the town of Labelle. We love this home and we are sure that you will too!

****Winter notice: You must have a vehicle with AWD or 4 wheel drive and snow tires to go down the driveway and park by the house. The number of the local tow truck service at the corner of rue Moulin and rue Lac Joly is Billy-Joe Provost +1 (819) 430-8809.**** Tell him Clive sent you.

Fantastic place…perfect family vacation!
Our family of six had a wonderful one week stay at Clive and Natasha’s home. The home provided the perfect space and conveniences throughout the house. We had a vacation the family will always remember. While we were here for a winter ski vacation I can see haw amazing this home would also be for a summer vacation. 5 stars, no question!

Lakeside paradise
We so enjoyed our summer trip to this lake house. It has everything you could want - and Lac Joly is perfect. Previous summers, we have rented cabins in Maine and as much as we’ve loved those trips, this house topped them all. It was a lovely stay and we enjoyed the SUPs and kayaks. Plenty of space for everyone and yes, the hot tub looks over the lake perfectly! Thanks to Clive and Natasha for a wonderful stay.

Quickest five days ever!
We stayed for five days and before we knew it, our vacation was over! Sometimes traveling with kids can be really challenging but this place solved the inadvertent preteen boredom. Fishing, paddling, swimming, even in the rain reduced the amount of screen time my kids have. The ski village was a nice outting and the Canadian grocery store with all its yummy breads and dessert was a highlight! We will be coming back!

IceCapades!!!
The road down the hill towards the property entrance must be blocked with a fence. This road is extremely dangerous in the winter. No attempts should be made to drive down.

Winter Getaway
We stayed at the end of February and at our arrival had been hit with freezing rain. It was a sloped driveway but it was cleared and sanded and plenty of reminders to have 4x4 from Clive and Natasha, making it a bit easier to maneuver. Hosts were very responsive and I appreciated how there were postings in the house for rules and how to use things. The house was warm and enviting. Even in full snow covering, this is a beautiful property. We watched deer throughout the days cross the lake and prance around the trees. All ementaties were at your finger tips. We would love to stay again in the Winter and hopefully Summer to enjoy the lake! Thank you for the wonderful stay.

The best equipped chalet possible!
Our family has been renting chalets for many years and this is the only place that not only met but exceeded all requirements. There’s ample bedding, pillows, towels, paper towel, toilet tissue, dish soap, hand soap, shampoos, seasoning, outdoor chairs and I could go on. This saves a massive amount of extra packing, loading and unloading. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped, water is filtered and drinkable so no need to bring bottled, there are additional refrigeration drawers in the kitchen as well as outlets and a mini fridge down at the dock. The lake water is incredibly clean and beautiful, the paddle boards were so much fun and there is a sandy walk in as well as a spot to jump in. We didn’t even end up using all the extras, canoes, paddle boat etc. The host went out of his way for special requests that we made and was always very quick and friendly to respond and assist. I’d say that everything was exemplary, my only recommendation would be window/door coverings on the secondary windows in the lower bedrooms but that’s just me as I’m accustomed to blackout curtains. All in all an incredible location for a relaxing week on the waterfront.

Spectacular stay in an amazing house!
The two weeks we spent at Clive’s and Natasha’s beautiful home was truly magical. The location of the house is in a private area on a large and quiet lake. Lovely hikes are possible directly from the house and more are accessible via a short car drive. The lake is crystal clean, slow-moving, and perfect for swimming and boating. The house is sufficiently spacious for a large group but cozy and beautifully furnished and incredibly inviting. During rainy or inclement days the house is the perfect place for relaxing, reading, playing board games, or watching movies. Every room is spacious and beautifully appointed. All you could hope for or need in the way of a wide variety of supplies are provided: abundant towels and linens, paper products, shampoos and soaps, laundry detergents, first-aid items, spices, cookware, cooking supplies, bug sprays, etc., as well as board games, boats (kayak, canoe, paddle boards, etc.), life jackets, and fire wood. In short, all of the things that you usually have to bring with you or buy when you arrive at a vacation rental have been abundantly and thoughtfully provided. The sauna and hot tub were spacious and pristine. The house has numerous balconies and decks, covered and not, which makes it possible to view the lake from everywhere in the house and to enjoy various views at different times of the day. The location, house, and voluminous amenities couldn’t have been better. We highly recommend this vacation rental!

You will not be disappointed! This house is spectacular and fully stocked with everything you need. Our entire vacation was magical from our morning coffee on the deck, to hours of swimming and exploring for the kids, to the cozy kitchen and fireplace in the evenings. Clive is a fabulous host - he was very generous and responsive to whatever questions we had. We will definitely be going back!!

Luxurious Home on a Gorgeous Lake
Labelle is the most beautiful home we have ever stayed in. My husband and I travel a great deal and from the moment we walked into this magnificent house we realized that we had discovered a rare gem in a rental properties. The open concept kitchen and living area is incredible with its floor to ceiling windows that have you standing right over the lake. Every room is beautifully decorated with the most comfortable furniture. The kitchen is truly a chef's dream with every appliance and cookware needed to prepare a large family meal. The bedrooms were spectacular. As for the lake, it is stunning. The water is crystal clear and the setting is fabulously tranquil. The abundance of porches and different sitting areas allows for alone as well as family time together. Everyone loved using the canoes, kayaks and all the other fun equipment and games available for our use. We also enjoyed some gorgeous walks through the woods. This couldn't have been a more perfect holiday.

Labelle Getaway
Clive and Natasha were superb hosts. Their property was absolutely stunning. The interior / exterior should be featured in a cottage magazine. The lake was so amazing to swim / paddle in. The location is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. We cycled daily on the P' Tit Train du Nord system, hiked, etc. A lovely family holiday! Highly recommend.

Fabulous Family Getaway
Our two families had a wonderful time at this beautiful place on Lac Joly. Home included all amenities needed. Views of the lake from all rooms. Morning coffees on numerous balconies were great way to start the day. Beautiful clear lake… amazing for swimming and paddling. Hot tubbing overlooking the lake. Fire pit provided good family entertainment at night. We enjoyed nearby activities: hiking, golfing, and particularly the P’tit Train du Nord trail for biking was great. And Tremblant village only short drive away. Lastly, the owner was super responsive to all our questions, a great hosts We would definitely go back. Wonderful family vacation.

Outstanding!
We just returned from 2 weeks at this property and have nothing but amazing things to say! The property is spectacular (the photos on vrbo do not do it justice at all). The home is on a peninsula and has water / lake views everywhere. There are so many balconies and gorgeous spots to enjoy inside and outside! This place is great because there are 4 floors (first with sauna, couch, bathroom; 2nd with living, dining, kitchen, powder room, bedroom, bathroom/laundry; 3rd with adult bedroom and kids bedroom and connecting bathroom; 4th with master bedroom (enormous) and master bath). There is tons of space for everyone! The water is magnificent and very swimmable off the huge dock. Great for kids and non-motorized watersports. The kids also loved the basketball net, hammock, board games, multiple fridges (even one at the dock!), hot tub, etc. The location is great. Not too far from other towns and activities. 5 min from the house there is a great little grocery store and an awesome beach on the rouge river. Our dog and kids loved it there! If you go, bring floats or tubes to ride on and fishing rods). The only thing to be aware of is the windy and steep roads leading to the house and the number of steps in the house and down to the docks. While this was not a problem for our family (we got used to driving the steep hills and need the exercise walking the steps! lol) it would be very difficult/impossible for people with driving anxiety or mobility issues. All in all, it was outstanding! We hope to go back soon! Thanks Clive and Natasha!!

Came here for a little r&r and to escape from the city for a little bit. We loved the size of the property, the privacy and how comfortable our stay was here. It was great to look out at the lake while making meals in the huge open kitchen. In the evening it was relaxing to make a fire and enjoy the peace and quiet. I will be returning in the summer to enjoy the lake!

Beautiful country house
Beautiful large country house, great location on the lake and forest all around, and easy drive to Tremblant. We'd recommend this place for a large family or up to 4 couples. We loved the main room with the view, wood-burning fireplace, dining room and well-equipped large kitchen. All the bedrooms had plenty of space with views of the lake and comfortable beds, most with TV and some with gas fireplace. During the daytime the boys went for a bike ride on the easy "P'tit Train du Nord" pathway, all the way to Tremblant and back, while the girls enjoyed a hike around the lake and a nearby mountain. There are balconies on both sides of the house and a patio to enjoy a BBQ, of course with a fantastic view. We even managed a trip on the lake with the house canoe, but didn't have a chance to try fishing from the dock. Parking lot big enough to easily accommodate 4 cars. We will be back for ski and après-ski.

A little piece of paradise
This property has it ALL! Don’t hesitate to book, you will not be disappointed. I had the great pleasure of staying at La Jolie for 7 days with my daughter and her family. There were 5 of us and the house offered ample private space for everyone as all the bedrooms are on separate floors and have their own bathrooms. At the same time, we could all gather comfortably in the great room for our meals, and conversations while watching the amazing lake views. In my opinion, the views are what makes this house so unique and special. There are literally lake views from every room. The house is very private but it is very close to the village of Labelle and a twenty-minute drive to Mont-Tremblant. Clive is a very responsive host and was always available to answer all of our questions and make sure that we were enjoying ourselves. We plan to come back again for a week in the winter and hopefully for two weeks in the summer. La Jolie is a little piece of paradise.

I am an urban planner by training and worked in construction and property management in Toronto, Canada. I am married and have four adult children. My passions include skiing, bicycling, my Vespas and Volvos. I love to cook. My favourite foods include oysters, anything with avocado, sushi, schnitzel, steak frites, Caprese salad and Niçoise. I love to travel and discover new places. I also like returning to the very special places I've visited and learning more about them. My favourite places to visit include mountains and the sea side and in particular Western Canada (Whistler, Rockies), Mont-Tremblant, Montreal, Prague, Paris, the Alps, south of France, Amalfi Coast and Croatia.

Why they chose this property

We were drawn to this property because of its beauty and the quality of the natural environment (lake and forest) that make up this area. The property is at the end of the road and therefore enjoys no traffic. The lake has only a few dwellings on it so it is relatively quiet. We are surrounded by woods, water and wondrous natural beauty yet we are close to everything that the Laurentians have to offer.

What makes this property unique

Amazing views, large rooms, comfortable beds, seclusion, proximity to swimming in summer, all sorts of outdoor activities (e.g., golf, water skiing, horseback riding, cycling and hiking) and snow sports in winter (22 minutes to Tremblant South Side). Low carbon footprint.
