Wake up to new views! The Lax Retreat is ready and waiting with open arms.
Glistening, near 180 degree views of blue ocean all the way to the edge of the horizon provide the perfect backdrop to your holiday at this stunning home. The view includes Matteson Bay, Hauraki Gulf, Cape Rodney and the Barrier Islands.
The outdoor patio curves around the oceanside of the home with a U-shaped lounge suite inviting you for a cold glass of wine and cheese platter in the evening. Or, it makes a great spot to put your feet with your morning cup of coffee.
To one side of the patio, there is also an outdoor table with bench seats, so when you've made use of the onsite BBQ, some alfresco dining with a view like this is a must!
On those warm summer afternoons, take shelter in the garden on the lawn sitting under the shade of the tree. Forgot to pack a good read to get stuck into during your holiday? The Lax Retreat has a good selection of books to choose from during your stay.
The Lax Retreat is a well-ventilated house with seamless indoor-outdoor flow, but if you've got a mid-winter getaway planned, there is also underfloor heating.
Matheson Bay is a short walk away and offers a safe swimming beach for the family. Daniel's Reef is also a short walk away for the keen surfer needing some more adventurous waves. Nearby you'll have access to Ti Point Wharf for fishing, the Leigh Coastal walk to stretch your legs, and great snorkelling at the Goat Island Marine Reserve. A little further afield, Parkiri Beach or Omaha Beach are approximately 15-minutes away by car.
For some tasty treats, the popular Matakana Farmers' Markets is within 15 minutes drive, and if you don't feel like cooking, why not finish the day off with dinner at the famous Leigh Sawmill Cafe, offering the best in local craft beers, food and live music.
