About this property

Mountain House With Hottub and View

Aside from all that our farm has to offer, unwind in your exclusive use, amazing view hot tub or whip up something tasty in your efficient kitchen. This small, unique guest house offers privacy amid the trees, with a view that gives a sense of being completely alone. It's large glass windows overlook an expansive view of the environmentally protected, unpopulated, valley below. Outside dining area with hot tub in the very private patio garden attached to the home offers generous space for groups of up to four guests (two guests sleeping on FULL pull-out couch, linens provided.) A FULL sized mattress may be too small for some couples, so if there are 4 adults in your party, please make sure this works for everyone before booking. Compact kitchen with undercounter refrigerator/freezer, bedroom with flat screen and a collection of DVD's. Queen bed in bedroom, (Tuft And Needle mattress), bathroom is ensuite, which means if someone is sleeping in the living room, they'll have to enter the bedroom to access the bathroom. Excellent wifi for your netflix, remote learning/working, and more; no outside cable service.

We have installed a Five Stage Reverse Osmosis purified drinking water system. (Water source is city water, not well water.). We're right in the middle of wine country in general; one exit south of Temecula's Wine Country, and adjacent to the wine growing community of Fallbrook. If you'd like a wine tour, our comprehensive Activity Guide lists wineries and tour operators and is sent to your email upon making a reservation so you can plan ahead. Call ahead if you have a specific business you'd like to visit, as the economic repercussions of Covid continue to impact our local ecomomy.

Meet our friendly alpacas, Silverado and Dusty, and feed our gentle, miniature dairy goats. Gather eggs from our friendly flock, or just get in some "chicken time. "

Take a cheese making/butter churning class, jam making class, bread making, or home made ice cream churning activity, just walk the roads of our 20 acre property, or unwind and enjoy the solitude and quiet.

Once our required rental agreement has been signed, our software sends out access information, directions, and activity guides .

Beyond Expectations

This was such a special place to stay and hope to return soon. The house is cozy and secluded and surrounded by a lush landscape with an incredible view. So much attention to detail in the home itself which made it all the more special. We added a butter and cheese making workshop last minute and it was the perfect addition to the stay and can’t wait to re-create the recipes at home. I can’t say enough about how special the Mountain House stay was. Not to mention the fresh eggs, feeding the peacock and alpacas and admiring all the beautiful flowers and trees while soaking in the hot tub.. I chose it because it had great reviews to begin with and like I said, it was still beyond my expectations. Thank you so much Dawn!

Better than the photos!

We couldn’t have asked for a better stay for our honeymoon. We absolutely adored the animals, they were such a treat to see. The place is quiet and secluded, and the views were spectacular. There’s tons of different fruit trees too. Better than we could have ever imagined! Thank you Dawn, for the beautiful memories.

Nice stay, lots of options for family activities within an hour's drive

We were pleased with our stay at the Mountain House at Morning Song Farm. It was a quality structure (this is no garage apartment) with original tile and other quality materials. It has huge windows with views of the hills and the sunset off to the right, and solid canvas curtains to block the morning sun. The spacing was a little tight with four of us (two in the living room), but we made it work and would do it again. The hot tub was a nice bonus that we ended up using everyday. It was a special treat to visit and feed the animals and we helped ourselves to unlimited kumquats from the nearby orchard. It was a quiet stay, very easy, and worth the trip to nearby sites. It seemed like the perfect getaway in the Spring, but I'm sure it's nice during other seasons also. We visited the beach, went strawberry picking, and saw some of San Diego - this is a great location off the beaten path.

Charming cottage house in beautiful farm valley.

We wished we could have stayed longer. Donna thought of everything. From fresh eggs to having the hot tub fired up when we arrived. We have family in the area and this will be our new home away from home when we visit.

Serenity

We had such a magical stay at the farm in the Romantic mountain cabin. A home away from home with so much charm and peace and quiet. The private hot tub over looking the gorgeous mountainside was a dream. Would highly recommend and can't wait to come back.

Best romantic getaway spot I didn’t have to fly to!

I genuinely don’t want to say too much for fear of this secret getting out! Seriously though, this place is fantastic in every way.

A Thanksgiving to Remember

Our family will remember this Thanksgiving for a long time. Our grand kids loved feeding the goats, chickens, and holding the baby chicks. Our family learned a lot about cheese /butter making, jam and ice cream making. We took advantage of all the classes offered and were glad we did. Donna, her son and daughter taught our various classes and had so many helpful hints in everything they taught us. Donna is a wonderful hostess and made us feel right at home. The beds are like sleeping on a cloud. We would recommend this farmstay to couples or families.

Secluded, Views, Jacuzzi, Starry Nights.

Hosts were accommodating. Clean. Eggs were farm fresh. Loved the Views. I prefer Secluded locations & only a 15 minute drive to conveniences. We spent our time in Fallbrook for restaurants, shopping, hiking & toured Grand Estate Gardens. We loved the no crowds, no fast pace or traffic congestion. Our goal was to have a 4 day get away without feeling we needed a vacation from our vacation. Quality of this excursion was the BEST!

Amazing Family Getaway

My wife and I booked a stay at Morning Song Farm because our son loves animals and we thought he'd enjoy interacting. The alpacas were a big hit because they came right up to him and nibbled treats out of his hand. We got quite a few photos of him gently cradling the baby chicks. The peacocks were a surprise; we all enjoyed tossing grapes to George and his flock. But the Goat Interaction was the best of all. Carl the Criminal, Boo the Princess, really all the goats had so much personality. We're already planning to visit again during Spring break.

Anniversary Get away

Morning Song Farm is such a wonderful place to stay and Donna, the owner, is so friendly and helpful and went out of her way to help us on the next leg of our anniversary trip. The one bedroom cabin was adorable and the bed was very comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed and it was a special treat to have the farm fresh eggs, cream and butter in the fridge for our stay - along with other treats. The views are spectacular and it is so quiet and peaceful - a great place to unwind from city life. Be sure to stop and enjoy the Alpaca's, Chickens and baby chicks - they are all adorable. Donna makes you feel right at home from the moment that you arrive and you feel like she is a longtime friend who has come to visit and enjoy her farm. Thank you Donna for your help and we look forward to coming back and staying longer so that we can take advantage of all that you and your farm have to offer. Thank you, Doug and Pam Dillon

A unique and cozy little place

My wife and I had a lovely time and were sad that it was for only one night. It's so peaceful up where this little cottage sits, and it was neat seeing the sea fog drift into the valley in the morning. Our hosts were so friendly, and the eggs in the morning were a nice touch. We will be telling others about this neat little place and hope to come back someday!

Great little get away!

It was New Year's weekend and it was our first time in Temecula. We really enjoyed our stay at the farm. Away from it all with a lovely view of the hills. Nice size little one bedroom cabin. The kitchen was well stocked and the dozen fresh eggs from the farm and local bottle of wine did not go amiss. It's an easy drive to Old Town and the wineries if you want. Just be aware the drive up is very narrow and only wide enough for one car in places. Not a big deal but at night you need to be extra cautious. Our six year old son had a blast feeding the alpacas and chickens every morning and we very much enjoyed the hot tub.

Peaceful and beautiful place surrounded by nature

Stayed here with my high school friend for a mom's weekend away. The relaxation began as we were driving up the hill. The property is amazing. Loved being greeted by alpacas and chickens! Donna and Lance are wonderful hosts, introducing us to the animals and obviously taking great care to pay attention to all the details. House was complete with lots of treats from snacks to eggs and delicious organic fruit from the property. Will definitely return, and recommend this quaint mountain house to everyone I know!

One word...tranquil...

My husband and I are still raving about our stay. Perfect place to recharge, reconnect, & spend some quality time together. I was amazed by all the wonderful details Donna has put into it. The tile work was superb & unique, the farm fresh eggs were amazing, the snacks & wine were awesome, the bed & bedding were perfectly comfortable, the views were to die for, and the hot tub...well...still missing it. We'll be back & next time we're going to take advantage of some of your classes. Oh, also, I was surprised how quickly we got our deposit back.

Peace, beauty, serenity

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at the Romantic Mountain House to celebrate our anniversary. The cottage is quaint, delightfully decorated, and has everything one needs for a quiet get-away. We enjoyed the hot tub each night under the stars and took in the peace and quiet that came with the setting. We took advantage of the amenities to make our breakfast each morning (with farm-fresh eggs) and create our dinner each night. After wine tasting in nearby Temecula, the private, quiet patio and cottage created the perfect end to the perfect day. Donna is an excellent host in providing everything one would need for a great stay. There is much more to do at the farm than we took advantage. We were looking for peace, beauty, and serenity and a place to help busy professionals reconnect and we got more than we expected. Thank you!!

Absolute Serenity

I found our go to place to get away for the night and leave the world behind. It is only 20 minutes from our doorstep to the tranquility of the property. What a wonderful surprise to open the mini fridge and find treats from their working farm to complement our main dish we brought up to cook. There were also eggs and bagels to cook up in the morning. We are private people so it was wonderful to know that we could have this time alone and not wonder if someone was going to pop in on us. I couldn’t have asked for anything more, it was absolutely wonderful and I’m looking forward to our next stay!

Loved every adorable minute of it!

The highlight was a morning walk on the farm feeding the chickens, feeding the llamas, checking out all of the fruiting trees, investigating the amazing beehives, and wandering to the winery within a short walk of the farm. I'm sorry that I missed the goats and some of the incredible classes offered onsite (cheesemaking, canning, etc...). The cottage was so cute and romantic. The attention to detail was incredible. We spent the evenings in the hot tub and the mornings drinking coffee on the patio watching the wildlife across the amazing valley view. I would HIGHLY recommend this place! In fact, I've already told everyone who will listen!

The romantic Farmstay was a lovely room with a great view. Donna, our hostess, when out of her way to make us feel welcome. I'd recomend it to anyone.
