About this property

Americana | Wooded Views + Pool Access & Private Hot Tub

With its porch rockers and swing looking out across the treetops toward the Great Smoky Mountains, its wood-planked floors and walls, and its vaulted ceiling, Americana looks like a mountain cabin you might see in the movies. In fact, the 2-bedroom, dog-friendly house is even better: It includes an outdoor hot tub, a billiard table, and access to the resort pool area in the summer.

Because Americana has 2 en-suite primary bedrooms, one on each floor, it can accommodate 2 couples vacationing together as comfortably as it can a family. Each bedroom has a king-size bed you’ll look forward to snuggling into at night (and might find difficult to tear yourself away from in the morning!), a flat-panel TV, plenty of storage, and its own bathroom. The main floor’s bathroom even includes a jetted tub—what a treat after a day on the hiking trails or the ski slopes!

You can soak outdoors too, in the lower deck’s hot tub. As if the steamy bubbles weren’t relaxing enough, here you can enjoy them while watching eagles and falcons soar above the mountains as a fresh breeze whispers through the trees. Afterward, relax on the porch swing or one of the rockers with a cool drink as you listen to warblers and sparrows in the morning or whip-poor-wills and owls at night. You won’t find better entertainment anywhere else!

The main floor’s great room includes a double-height wall of windows and French doors that open to the upper deck. Whether you’re lazing on the sofa with your tablet surfing the web or curled up in the recliner watching a movie on the flat-panel TV with Blu-ray player, you can glance out at the woodlands and the sky. The dining table, which seats 4, is perfectly positioned by the windows too!

Americana’s kitchen is impressively well equipped with appliances, cookware, and tableware. Whether you want to create a Top Chef-worthy feast or simply brew a cup of coffee in the Keurig system, the kitchen has everything you need except food—and you can get that at the supermarket just down the road. If you have a hankering for barbecue, take advantage of the large gas grill on the deck.

After dinner, head downstairs to the game room, where you’ll find something to entertain everyone. In addition to the full-size pool table, there’s a large flat-screen TV, a Wii gaming system, and even board games—we’ve thought of everything!

In the summer you also have the option of heading to the nearby pool area for a swim. Because Americana is part of Gatlinburg’s Black Bear Falls community, you’ll have free access to its heated adult and kids’ pools and spacious poolside patio. The kids will really love the sprinkler fountain!

Americana’s location is as convenient as it is beautiful. Downtown Gatlinburg is just 5 minutes away; there you can visit an aquarium, play mini golf, and dig into a stack of hotcakes at Tennessee’s oldest pancake house, among other delights. Also nearby is the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, with its hiking trails, historic cabins, waterfalls, and wildlife. At Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park you can ski and snowboard in winter and ice-skate year-round; another year-round activity is exploring the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Loop, an 8-mile trail of more than 100 galleries, studios, and shops. Even Dollywood and the shows and outlet shopping of Pigeon Forge are only a half-hour away.

When you stay at Americana, your biggest dilemma may be deciding how you’re going to manage to do everything you want in the amount of time you have. You just might have to make a return visit! First, though, you have to book your initial stay. So what are you waiting for?

Wonderful Cabin!

What a perfect cabin! Americana has everything you need from comfy beds and a fully stocked kitchen to wonderful art and cute little bears.. The owners also had decorated the cabin for Christmas, which was a nice surprise! We had candles in the windows, a Christmas tree, and all kinds of Christmas decor to enjoy. We felt like we were at home. It also has great views of the mountains! We will definitely stay here again!!

Great Cabin

The cabin was very clean, however getting up the driveway was a task. The incline of the driveway is steep. With a full vehicle and luggage it was definitely a little scary. Overall we enjoyed the cabin. We just wish the hills in the area weren't so steep. It was a little scary driving around especially on those small roads with no guardrails.

All was good except fan in downstairs bedroom was so loud, person sleeping in master upstairs could hear it, and needs a better can opener that actually opens up a can.

Nice cabin but needs some maintenance attention.

The cabin was nice overall but we could not get the hot tub to run, the grill was pretty nasty and would not light to cook on, the felt on the pool table was in pretty bad shape but was still useable, and the guitar for the wii was broken. We did not spend a lot of time at the cabin since we had plans in town but it served our needs

You won't regret staying here! Amazing views and amenities, and the best location!

My family couldn't have enjoyed our stay more! All the amenities of home are there, and the service was impeccable. After booking and well in advance if our trip we were given all the instructions we'd need to access the property. We loved that there was a security system, in addition to the keyless entry making things quick and easy, it helped ease our minds while we were out exploring. We spent our days in the Smoky's and downtown Gatlinburg, and the cabin provided the perfect place to relax after a long day of hiking, especially the hot tub. Having plenty of space and activities for parents and kids alike was wonderful, the pool table and books were a huge hit. My 10 year old had a great time writing her favorite experiences in the guest book and we thought it was a wonderful touch and enjoyed reading the recommendations from others before us. The location is perfect in our opinion, and from what we heard from the locals. We were a short drive away from everything, but the necessities were all right there. Definitely recommend some of the local, smaller places nearby as they had the best service and food (specifically The Alamo, Mad Max's ice cream & doughnuts, and The Little Pancake House, all about 5 min away). The only incident we had, which was handled perfectly, was that the entry code didn't work initially. After a quick call to the office, they gave a new code over the phone immediately and we were in. Can't ask for any more than that! We will definitely be back, thank you for your hospitality!

Peaceful family vacation

The cabin was perfect for our family of five. We enjoyed the close proximity to Gatlinburg while having a peaceful retreat from the tourist attractions. We visited from Florida and the kids had never seen mountains! Beautiful place! Check in and check out were super easy.

Short Spring-break Getaway

Pros: The cabin was perfect size for our family and we loved we could bring the dogs. Location is convenient to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Cons: Cabin is a bit rundown and could use updating. There is no grass for the dogs to use the restroom, had to take the dogs down and around the corner to a small grass area. Hard to take a walk around due to windy roads and lots of traffic. To enter the cabin you have to walk through a small breezeway, while walking a medium size boulder came barreling down from the road above. The boulder missed myself and my dog by mere inches. It was very scary, had it struck us we would have sustained serious injuries. @ownwers I placed the boulder on the retaining wall.

Cleanliness needs work!

The pictures look great, but nope. The cabin is way smaller than in the pics and it was very dirty. Granted its a pet friendly cabin, but the carpet (why carpet with pets???) its super gross and stained. At first I thought my dog had peed all over it when we first go there, but when I ran my hand across those areas they were dry. GROSS. The downstairs bed had black pet hair all over the bed skirt. The couches were questionable, especially the throw pillows on them. Basically for a week none of us were able to relax in the cabin...we stayed out till it was time for bed and only took our shoes off to take a shower. The deck is stained 3 colors, all chipping, the white chairs on the patio were covered in bird droppings as well as most of the patio had dried droppings. The hot tub water was murky, the lock was busted off too. There were greasy dishes in the kitchen and glasses with sticky stuff on them. Just really gross. All the decor, teddy bears, etc are covered in cob webs and dust. Overall it seems nice until you walk in and take a good look. The kitchen table was "wiped" but it had that sticky grime that you really need to scrub. The pool table room and the bathrooms were ok except the main floor bathroom had rust all over and into the shower head. Sad we were never able to really relax and unwind here. Ive stayed in cabins before but this one was just ick. It just wasnt for me.

Disappointed

The cabin is dog friendly, yet there was no grass for the dogs and the dogs had to use the potty about a block away. The dog potty area was not dog friendly either, no doggy trash to put their poopy trash. The hot tub didn’t work. Maintenance came to look at it and said they would come back the next day to fix it, which they didn’t. So I called the office and they said the hot tub people would come to fix the hot tub the next day, which they didn’t. So the whole stay the hot tub didn’t work and they lied and said it would be fixed. Just be honest and say it’s not going to be fixed during our stay. We also had very loud people In The cabin behind us, past midnight they were singing karaoke. It’s good to have fun, but have some common curiosity for your neighbors. Would not recommend because the management doesn’t do what they say they are going to do. Carpet was dirty also. And paint chips were coming off the deck. Need to do a lot maintenance work to this cabin.

Great Getaway!

Great place to stay! Perfect size and location! MAKE SURE you look at your security lock code though before entering, because if not there will be an alarm that sounds! Haha. We had a great time in the hot tub, and playing pool! There was also the perfect amount of cooking wear in the kitchen! We had a few problems on our way there and we were very reassured with the trip once we got there and seen how great it was! Definitely will be coming back!
