We are many time whistler guests and we love the glacier lodge for its great location and ski in and out. This room was one of our favorites with a clear attention to detail and design. Smart technology throughout and a great space.
We recently stayed for almost a month over winter. The location was great, the building reception was fantastic and the property managers were excellent.
The 6 of us loved our long weekend stay here. The apartment has been renovated with really nice bathrooms, nice lighting throughout and other cool, modern touches. The towels and sheets were all hotel quality as well. The location is AMAZING, right in the center of Blackcomb -- you can't beat it. The only complaint was the sound the snow melting made on the tin roof right outside the master bedroom. It wasn't a relaxing "rain hitting a tin roof" sound, we actually had to put in ear plugs 2 of the nights. It looks like the building needs to put something up near the roof to prevent this as the tin roof right outside the master bedroom window is dented (likely from ice falling). Other than this, absolutely amazing stay!
While this property looks nice on the pictures, beware. The unit is not in great condition, the bench in the kitchen was broken, water leaked from the showers, the fuse box was not covered, the smart tv hub didn't work for a few days (people had to come out to fix), no cable in the living room, and no way to self control the volume in the living room (even after the TV was fixed). Also, the bottom dishwasher was not useable as it would get stuck on the floor when opening the drawer. Eve and her team at Blackcomb Peaks were wonderful - they were as helpful as they could be over the busy holiday weekend. Eve was apologetic for the issues in the unit as it was not her fault and she was really great to work with. The directions in the unit were not helpful or as detailed as would have been helpful for the guests.
With the exclusion of air conditioning, this is not an ideal rental in the summer. Other than that, a fantastic place to stay, and I would stay here again (in the winter).
