Charming older apartment in perfect location

If you like the charm of older homes, this is an absolute winner. Perfect location in historic district, easy communication with host, spacious apartment. We used the place to both work remotely and enjoy St Augustine and it served us very well for both purposes. All key attractions in historic area easily walkable And drive to beach 5-10 minutes.

Wonderful Hosts and perfect stay.

Saragossa Street, unit B was a pleasure to stay at. Saint Augustine is so beautiful and historical, and our stay at this beautiful townhome added to the walking back in history. It was fun to imagine who lived here in the past, you could picture children running up and down the stairs and even wonder who cooked their meals in the clean, spacious kitchen. Everything we needed was right there for us. The host was an excellent communicator and made sure we were well taken care of. We arrived, parked our car at the house and that is where it stayed the entire time because we could walk everywhere! This is the perfect location to walk into the downtown to any restaurant of your choosing, cute little shops, and an awesome historical fort. We even walked over to the Bridge of Lions, strolled across the bridge and saw dolphins swimming, fish jumping, and ended up at a delicious grilled cheese restaurant with some arcade games on the other side of the bridge. We visited in March, and the weather was beautiful. Warm some days and cool on others. The air condition in the house worked very well, a little too well… There was no getting warm on the hot days that’s for sure! We kept it at whatever it was set at and that was perfect. No need to make it any cooler than 74. There were plenty of blankets and pillows for the cool nights. And even beach towels were provided in case we wanted to go over to the beach. We were there for the TPC golf tournament, which was less than an hour away. We had a great time, and such a nice stay overall! Had so much fun with the town and old buildings, churches, cobblestone streets, and historic houses. Lots and lots of history and amazing architect. The house is very clean and everything worked well from the plumbing, the washer and dryer, the coffee pot, the refrigerator, no complaints! A perfect stay with a step back in time.

Worked well for our stay

Excellent location. We loved being able to walk everywhere in the old town area. House is quite old which provided its own charm. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen and bathroom are in need of updates. Cabinets and vanity are old and they are in rough shape. With that said, the place had all that we needed. It worked well for our time in St. Augustine.

Outstanding Location

The location of the unit is outstanding in St. Augustine! The shops, restaurants, and museums are within walking distance. We always felt safe walking around town. The owner communicated well prior to and during our stay to ensure we were enjoying our vacation. The unit is comfortable and bright with many windows. The sunroom in the front allows guests to relax in the evening. We definitely would stay here again.

Great place to stay for your downtown St Augustine experience.

Although it’s an older home, it’s well kept and clean. Very convenient walking distance to the downtown area, just far enough away that it’s quiet at night, but not too far to walk to breakfast or dinner. Nice neighborhood and the fact that this place had parking were also a plus for us ( a lot of downtown st aug has little to no parking available even some of the other rentals in the area).

Go for the location

This is absolutely great location in an authentic mid century home. Has lots of character (mean that in good way) with comfortable beds if you like firm mattresses. A bit aged and in need of some repair but no problem if you are there just for sightseeing. Go for it as is good value

Family Holiday Getaway

St. Augustine is one of our favorite places to visit, especially during nights of lights. Our stay was absolutely PERFECT! The house was clean, in an amazing location (we walked everywhere) and always felt safe. The booking, check-in and check-out processes were all so easy to use/do. We’ve stayed here before and will definitely stay again. Thank you for the memories my family and I made

Cute little place

We loved the house. The porch out back was super cute and nice in the mornings. We were walking distance to everything which was great for sightseeing. There was a cute little cheesecake bar around the corner by the cemetery which was great for ghost sightings and wine tastings.

Charming Cottage in St Augustine

My experience with this property manager & property were the best VRBO experience ever! I originally booked another property on the same street. The manager contacted me about a month prior offering to move us to another property in the area because he was concerned we might be bothered by contractors working in another unit in the building. I thought that was very nice! Communication with the manager was fabulous & entry to the property very easy. The unit was very nicely appointed and spotless! It had everything we could need! To top it off, the beds were very comfortable. Overall fantastic experience & I highly recommend this property if you want to visit St Augustine!

Great location but could use safety updates

We stayed for 3 nights while in town for a festival. Check in, communication, parking and location were amazing. We loved walking to everything! We were two women and I think the doors and locks could be updated to feel safer. Locks at the top of the stairs in the front and back would have been really appreciated, with doors and windows that could be locked easily. It’s an old home but the door handle fell off in my hand once - I’m really grareful that it was repaired within the hour! Thanks for the stay!

Only 1 major issue

We stayed at this rental before, and it was great. This time the humidity inside the house was very high. The bed linens, towels, upholstered furniture, paper towels, etc., were damp. Our clean clothes became damp. Everything that could absorb moisture did. Everything else about the house was great. Once the management company fixes the humidity issue this house, it should be great again. We had family staying in the downstairs unit and they had no moisture issues, so the weather outside was not the cause.

St Augustine Vacation

Overall had a great vacation. The house is close to many tourist locations in the city. You can walk but we had little ones so we drove everywhere. Would book again if in the area. Communication with host was great. Sorry to neighbors downstairs as anyone with children understands how it is with little busy humans that want to run, jump, and scream at all times of day.

Perfect location

This lovely apartment (top floor of the house) is the perfect location for most of the St Augustine sites and many of the great restaurants. Having your own parking spot so close to everything is the cherry on top. 5-10min walk to the historic areas, 15-20min walk to the distillery/winery tour area. The apartment is dated in some aspects (eg old locks on some doors, some cosmetic things yet to be repaired, old windows, faint musty smell upon first entering) but everything else is 5 star: spacious, quiet, fully furnished kitchen, tv in every room with roku, washer/dryer, air con, comfy sofas. Hosts/management are wonderful in their communication, helpful tips and little extra surprise added enhancements. We took advantage of their 2 for 1 tickets to the Trolley and the Pirate Museum. It is a nuisance that you have to call the first time but after that you can book yourself online (worth the savings).
