Views of the Swan Mountain Range and the surrounding fields make this lovely Montana home as pretty as a picture!

The home is secluded and private, but close enough to Whitefish and Kalispell to head into town whenever you want some small-town charm. Glacier National Park is 23 miles away when you want to visit its spectacular vistas, plentiful lakes, mountain ranges, and more. If skiing is what you're after, Whitefish Mountain Resort is 25 miles north.

Mountain views are visible from many of the windows, and hardwood floors and other decorative features make this home elegant and inviting. There is a living space with a stone hearth, a family room with a sectional sofa and chairs, and a TV room, so it's easy to divide into groups for separate activities. With a pool table in the game room, three flatscreen TVs, and WiFi, there's plenty to do for fun.

A gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances and mahogany cabinets has everything you'll need to prepare tasty feasts. Stainless steel appliances, a dishwasher, a gas grill on the deck, and mahogany cabinets make a beautiful and efficient place to work. Enjoy your meal at the breakfast bar, in the dining room, or outside in the fresh air.

As many as 13 guests will love this five-bedroom, three-and-a-half bathroom house. The bedrooms contain a king bed, three queens, a double, and two twins. For a bit more space, there's a sofabed.

Browse through the local boutiques in Kalispell for some presents for the folks back home, then visit the Conrad Mansion, a pre-1900 mansion that remains excellently preserved. For great barbecue, head to Famous Dave's and try the award-winning ribs.

Can't wait to spend quality time with your loved ones? Here's the perfect place for that family trip!

Fantastic House

We loved this house! beautiful views, comfortable and decorated nicely. Easy in and out from the neighborhood and close enough to GNP! Highly recommend. Lots of rules for the house, but we are a quiet clean family so they didn't bother us. Would stay here again 10/10

We had a great stay.

My family and I enjoyed our 7 night stay at Elk Park Lodge in late August. I highly recommend this house. It was clean. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. The view of the mountains to the east from the house deck was just beautiful. We kept very busy hiking Glacier National Park, visiting some of the local Montana State Parks, and a flyfishing trip on the Flathead River. From the house it's an easy drive to Columbia Falls or Kalispell for shopping or dining. It was a great stay for my family of 8. Thanks to our hosts for providing everything.

Overall Great Place

House was great and easily accommodated our large group. Property is beautiful with ample outdoor seating and gorgeous views of the mountains. Vacasa property manager was very responsive, and check in/out was very smooth. We visited in September, so not having A/C wasn’t an issue. One of the fans provided didn’t work, but they have several. There were two Pack ‘n Plays, which was nice. Wish that was mentioned in the listing so we didn’t have to bring our own bedding for the baby. Also, we didn’t see the ladder for the downstairs bunk bed, so that made for a challenging in and out. The pool table was nice, but we couldn’t find any darts for the dartboard. Found some nice restaurants in town, and Glacier west gate is only 20 minutes away, so location is great! Would definitely rent again.

Nice home with a few major issues

I stayed with my family of 6 in mid-Sept. Good location not far from Glacier NP. Quiet place with a beautiful view of the mountains. The home itself was comfortable, however there were a few problems; one being that the dishwasher was not working with a large amount of foul smelling stagnant water; the home was swarming with flies; and there were a lot of dead bugs on the windowsills in the dining room and living room, dust and dried contact lenses on my nightstand - these issues calling into question the cleanliness of the home, which is especially concerning in the midst of a pandemic and disappointing as VRBO explicitly stated the home would be cleaned and disinfected. I called Vacasa immediately on reaching the home and finding these issues, and heard from Greg shortly who arrived with fly tape and a vacuum to remove the pool of water from the dishwasher. However the dishwasher was never repaired and we had to hand-wash all of our dishes throughout our stay, which amounted to quite a bit considering we were traveling with 6 people including an infant and cooking all of our meals in the house. I did receive a small refund after another phone call to Vacasa after our stay. Would have liked to stay here again but not sure how I would confirm the cleanliness of the place before arriving the next time.

Great location to Glaicer National Park and in open country with

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unfortunately are stay wasn't that great. There were two factors that contributed to this. One had nothing to with the house. All the fires in the area caused unhealthy air conditions. We had very limited viability so we couldn't enjoy any of the beauty of the area. The reason why we drove 1400 miles to go there. The other reason is there is a yellow jacket nest on the property I would guess it's next to the detached garage. These wasps usually live in the ground ,there is a big pile of old grass clippings and a old dog house. This is where I think they were coming from.Unfortunately these wasp are very aggressive. We we there 6 nights and 5 days.We picked the property because of the outdoor space, which after the first day a couple of us were stung. After that no one went back outside.I hung two yellow jacket traps where I thought they were coming from and by the end of the week it was better. The house is in the country so you expect insects,But these wasps are finding a home on the property from lack of maintenance. The house could use air for the warmer 's a tri-level so the upstairs gets wife said the kitchen could use some nonstick pans.

Not as great as we had hoped...

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were very disappointed with Montana's Best Vacation Rentals. We would not recommend our friends to rent with them. They need to work on their customer service and also on their marketing. It is not good to offer promotions and then tell consumers they will not work. Also, this home has many windows that do not open and only one ceiling fan in the whole home, and no outside furniture. We were told to put together the fans that were in many pieces in boxes in all the bedroom closets...we thought we were on vacation. And also told to call direct tv ourselves to trouble shoot the service that was not working. The house was 85 degrees at 10:00 at night. Total hot box! If you are going to do summer rentals in this home you either have to install more windows that will open...none of the windows in the great room will open or living room or dining room. And only one in the master. Or you need to install air conditioning. We paid too much money to stay in this home. Compared to other rentals, the value is not there and the management company does not care about the renters. They were very rude and difficult to deal with.

Great stay

This was a great house that held 8 adults comfortably. Beds were great. The only drawback is no air conditioning. July was hot and there was no breeze. We opened the doors and windows at night and closed them early morning. It got uncomfortably hot by 11am indoors.

Family fun times

Great house! Stayed here with some family and took day trips into Glacier. Would stay here again. Enjoyed the outdoor fire pit. Kitchen faucet needs to be replaced and bulb was out in laundry but this didn’t negatively affect our stay. Overall 9/10

Beautiful View

The house was great. I think it’s time for a deep clean. No extra blankets or bedspreads. That was a challenge. The kitchen sink has a constant drip and there was a leak under the upstairs sink. Plenty of towels. We bought and left a coffee maker because the coffee maker was missing the basket. Took 45 minutes to brew a pot. No iron. Very scenic and enjoyable to watch the animals on the adjoining properties. Convenient to the airport and Glacier Park. Would love to come back again but it doesn’t have a/c, so it would have to be when it’s cooler.

Great house, poor communication and not clean!

First the house, location and views were awesome! It was a great space. However, the communication with the property management company prior to our visit and during the visit left much to be desired--long waits on hold and delayed responses. When we arrived a little early the cleaning staff was still at the house but allowed us to come into the main floor (she was very nice) as she said only the basement needed to still be cleaned and she was running late that day. While sitting in the the living room, there was a pile of bird feathers clearly visible next to the couch from across the room, and sure enough there was a dead bird under the couch. So some more thorough cleaning would probably be warranted. Most likely the bird flew in and was trapped in the house due to the screen on the back door which doesn't latch all the way. The management company did contact me prior to my visit saying the washer wasn't working and that if they didn't fix it in time for the visit I'd get $25 per day refund for loss of that amenity, but I never received a reply when I inquired as to whether it had been fixed prior to arrival. And it was not fixed, and I haven't gotten that refund. I have just tried to contact the company, and am waiting to hear back from them on this. Overall, a great house. Needs better cleaning/dusting/sweeping/fix the back screen door/ and better communication with management company.

Big House on the Prairie

Elk Lodge is a lovely home, beautifully decorated in a rustic style. It had everything we needed for a fantastic family gathering of children, parents and grandparents, ages 6 months to 66. The basement with its pool table, bar, and television room got lots of use during the record breaking heat wave, and it was always a very comfortable temperature. The beds were all extremely comfortable, and, for this Jersey girl, the water pressure of the gorgeous stone tiled showers was wonderful! (When you live at 50 feet above sea level, water pressure is pretty much lack of pressure.) If you come, expect to purchase more staples than you are used to and having fewer kitchen appliances. With that one minor exception, everything was perfect.

Beautiful home for our group of 11

While this home was just the right size for our group of 11, there were issues from the beginning. The kitchen is fully equipped and we had plenty of space. We arrived to wet towels sitting in the dryer, dirty sheet and pillows on the floor in one bedroom and wrappers under two beds. We called right away when we arrived to report the problems and didn't receive a phone call until 5 hours later. At that point, I had already rewashed the towels and took care of the other items. The property manager followed up the next day and gave us a credit for having to clean. The next day our water was out and not restored until 5pm. The property manager again was helpful and got a service person out to the home to repair the well pump and she came out herself inspect the problem. I showed her the washing machine that had been making a horrible noise when I rewashed the towels. She also personally took our garbage can and emptied it and said she would come back to do it again later in the week so we had overflowing garbage in the garage. She is aware that one of the bedroom screens is broken in addition to the screen door on the patio. Screens would not have been a big deal except there is no AC in the home and they are having 90 degree days right now. The fans we took out of the storage closet had to be completely cleaned as they were coated in thick dust. With some corrective and preventative maintenance and regular cleaning, this property would have been perfect for our 8 day stay. While we appreciated the credits we received for the problems we experienced, what we wanted was a hassle free vacation and we didn't receive that. If these issues are corrected, we wouldn't hesitate to stay in this beautiful home again.

Love it!!

Amazing house! Great location, great layout, clean, and very comfortable for our family for a week. Only thing we missed was an air conditioner when the temp was in the 90’s in June, which I’m pretty sure shouldn’t happen that far north. Would definitely stay here again!

Great house!

This house was nearly perfect for our needs! We rented for 4 weeks while we worked in Whitefish. The layout is nice, with plenty of space to spread out; the kitchen is nicely equipped, and the deck and backyard make it nice to spend time outside. There were a couple quirks though (there is no garbage service and it wasn’t picked up regularly so it ended up piled in the garage; we never found a vacuum so I bought an inexpensive one to use during our stay). Overall, the house was great and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

Great house!

The only issues we had is that the water stunk like sulfer, and it was hard to get the house to heat up at night, and we never found the darts for the dart board. The house was spacious, cozy, and perfect for our group! I would go back!

Amazing house

The house and property were amazing. However upon our arrival there was dirty towels on the front pouch a number of light bulbs were out, the kitchen sink dripped constantly. In two of the rest rooms the toilet paper holders were falling off the wall. There was macaroni and cheese stuck in the master bed room carpet. The kitchen and dining room areas floors were very dirty and we had to clean and mop them before we enjoyed our stay. Over all great house and property just sad to see the little repairs not being kept up.
