About this property

Alpine Bach with spa and separate games room.

This bach is our happy place. Sat on 1/2 an acre it's an easy walk to central Ohakune's restaurants/bars/cafes and the supermarket.

After walking, snowboarding, skiing or mountain biking relax on the deck or in the spa with a view to Mount Ruapehu. When you are ready for more action go to the games room for darts, pool or foosball.

Both the bach and games room have heat pumps and TVs and of course there is wifi, plenty of parking, a drying room and heaps of wood for the fire.

We have one security camera aimed at the driveway parking area. It is there for security when no one is at the property and to ensure the ‘no parties’ house rule is observed.

Lovely Cottage
A friend and I stayed here for a ski trip and really enjoyed it. It's a great location, a very short drive from the town centre with view to the mountains on a good day. We really enjoyed the hot tub after a full day of skiing and the games room is a nice touch.

Beautiful and Relaxing Stay
Had a wonderful relaxing getaway, the views were amazing as well as the property itself and being able to enjoy it all while relaxing in the hot tub was something else :)

This Bach is brilliant! It's clearly been designed specially for bach trips rather than just some extra house the owner rents off without paying attention. Games Room, Hot Tub, Bunks mwuah. Good stuff.

Oakhune stay

Lovely Bach - as advertised
Games room was great. Wish they had a table tennis table too though. Fireplace was beautiful too. Owners very quick to reply when we needed help with the Spa. Only issues we had were finding a few large wasps inside and having our food overrun with ants when it was left on the bench for a few hours :(

Great family winter home
Loved the house. We knew the weather was not looking great, so wanted somewhere with things to keep bored teens busy. From the pool tournaments, poker games, fussball and darts to the twice daily spas, the property did not disappoint. The beds were all very comfortable and the whole place was a great size for us. A very special house and amazing value for money.
