Our family stayed here for a few days and thoroughly enjoyed it. Having seperate dwellings gave everyone a little space and made it more fun. Good spot.
Funky place, great having 3 separate sleeping spaces each with bathroom for our extended family. Great outdoor gathering spot under cover. Highly recommended
Really enjoying staying at this property, really well set up for adults and kids to have their own space while on holiday. Really cool outdoor area too. Gavin was really nice and was available to talk to when we needed
We had a great time here catching up with a small group of girlfriends. The three seperate spaces give you plenty of privacy but also some great communal areas to sit together and catch up.
Excellent, Unique accomodation - with private and quiet cabins, which accommodates for larger groups to still split off from one another. Modern and cosy. Would stay here again & highly recommend to others. Communication with property manager was easy and timely. 10/10 accommodation!
We were only here for a night with a group of friends going to a wedding. It was a great space to accommodate a group and while we didn't have time to use any of the facilities it was well set up.
Great setup outside with bar and bbq. Great with separate areas. Queen beds not that comfortable.
Would recommend renting. Great setup, especially with teenagers cause they have their own area and you can see them from the deck. Was a bit hit at times, brought a fan. Main bed too soft and was uncomfortable.
I choose the property for the reason that it looked different and separate "buildings) Not the usual. It was great in many ways, however because of the hot weather it was quite hot. Trying not to get mosquitos you could not really open the windows when the lights are on.The kitchen building was good to air. There was also a nice outdoor undercover area with a big table , wooden bench and barbecue plus a drink fridge. The main building had zircon, just as well, because there are no windows. It also has a fire pit, where you could burn some wood and eat marschmallows.
Great location and instructions were excellent for arrival. Loved that we had 3 separate rooms for the 3 couples and the shared outdoor kitchen and gathering place was perfect! Great way to experience tiny house living. Only small thing was no toilet paper in any of the three unit - had to go buy some for each - minor detail really !
Best during the warmer months when everyone can socialise together outside. Cleaning detail could be better and one bed was missing linen. Also would prefer pantry and freezer closer to empty to fit our food shop. Gavin was a friendly and helpful host.

My name is Gavin,
I am a 31 year old builder with a renovation company called GBARR Construction based in Auckland, I also run a company called Ecospace, which is an off shoot from the construction company. This is my passion project building sustainable, luxurious prefabs, cabins, and tiny homes.
I love surfing, boxing, golf, anything to do with outdoors and nature, and absolutely love coming up to the bach and enjoying the Magical Mangawhai Heads!
Why they chose this property
I bought this property during the first lockdown to get onto the property ladder, as well as having a place to showcase my Ecospace buildings for interested clients. I built everything from scratch myself, in my spare time and after hours to create this "oasis in the heads".
Two of these Ecospace dwellings, The Tiny home and cabin are based on the property, and I use it as a showroom as well as Holiday home and Bach Rental.
The container home was a last minute opportunity i decided to go ahead with thanks to one of my best friends, who worked within the bank it came from, It was a old obsolete bank building, which i shipped up from Palmerston North as it was rotting and rusting away in a storage yard, and I completely gutted and renovated it to its current state today.
What makes this property unique
Unique, Luxurious sustainable tiny homes and container home in a beautiful peaceful rural setting, nestled into nature with a spacious outdoor entertainment area.
