You'll enjoy a lakeside getaway in a two bedroom cottage on beautiful Angevine lake. A warm wood finish open concept living, dining and kitchen area overlooks the lake through the trees. A covered porch with gas bbq invites outdoor cooking with ample space on decking around the cottage. A screened gazebo sits at the shoreline surrounded by a large deck and a dock with a ladder for easy swimming access. The main bedroom has a queen bed and small walk-in closet. The 2nd bedroom is larger with two bunk beds (single bed on top and doubles on the bottom). Bathroom has a shower and a small ante room outside the bathroom has a stacked washer and dryer. The cottage sits on a large lot surrounded by a privacy border of trees. Both sun and shade to be found. There is walk in access to the lake with a gradual increase in depth. Water depth at the end of the dock is about 3 feet and temperatures are fine for swimming mid June though September. As you watch the sunset from the dock, watch for the passing beaver or loons.

The stay was absolutely wonderful. The cottage has everything you need including air conditioning. We were very sad to leave and hope to go back every year.
What a spot, and what a gem. Situated on a beautiful lake, close to all amenities, with everything you need on the property for a pleasant stay. Loads of exploring to do - check out the Pugwash Farmers' Market, the Peace Trail, Gulf Shore Beach! Worth a stay, for sure!
Cottage was beautiful, clean and well stocked with everything one needs in a vacation property. Plenty of fish in this lake, we caught 24 bass in 4 days. Highly recommend!
This was probably the best family summer vacation we have had. I grew up going to Angeline Lake, and was able to share those memories with my children and wife. Everyone had plenty of space to stretch out. The lake is the best entertainment there is. Cannon balls and canoeing were enjoyed by everyone. We will definitely be returning next year.
Everything was just perfect, even better than expected.
My son caught a lot of fish and they loved the kayaking.
The house was fantastic.
Loved the wood veneer. Really we could not find anything we didn't like. Definitely recommend to everyone, family and couples alike.
Thank you very much for letting us stay there!
We had an awesome time here. It was quiet and peaceful.
One comment about the esthetics of the property: there is a line of trees that completely obscure the view of the lake from the cottage. If they were removed the view would be amazing.
The drive to the cottage was easy and really not too far from the airport. Check in and communication with the host was great. Once we arrived right away i felt comfortable and relaxed exactly how it should be out on a lake. Unfortunately we never got to experience the whole stay right there on the lake, but it was really nice to call it home at the end of every day because we traveled in every direction many kms experiencing everythjng atlantic canada had to offer us. The lake cottage was the perfect location to see it all! Big thank you for the host to offer a such a wonderful place for us to stay!
We stayed here 9 nights while waiting for our house renovations to be completed. Loved the property especially the dog who swam in the lake most of the day! Lots of beds, full kitchen, newer bathroom and the washer/dryer were truly a bonus. Mark was always available to answer questions which we appreciated. Really enjoyed the covered porch when it rained. Thank you!
We had a very good, peaceful stay in this cottage on Angevine Lake.Close to many areas of natural interest we explored in Nova Scotia. Our host was very responsive to any questions we had. The kitchen was very well stocked. I caught a fish off the dock!! Beautiful sunrises and sunsets on the dock. Perhaps owing to the rainfall levels this season there was some mustiness in the bedding - maybe increased laundering would be helpful. We would come again😊
Belle propriété sur le bord d'un lac.
Endroit relaxant et confortable.

The pictures of the cottage don't really do it justice. The kitchen/dining/living room area is spacious and extremely comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped, which was good because there is really nothing close by for restaurant options. We enjoyed sitting at the deck table. The only suggestion I would have to make is to thin out some of the smaller trees on the large lawn that slopes down to the water to afford a better view of the lake. We did not use the gazebo. While it is right on the water, it's a little bit hard to see out the windows as they could use a good cleaning. The house itself though was very clean and tidy. we rented the optional kayaks and enjoyed paddling around the lake. The lake is beautiful and very clean. Power boats are allowed on the lake which surprised me a little as it's not that big, and there are nesting loons, but fortunately we were there in September and there was only one boat and water skier on the lake on the weekend, and no one else the rest of the time.
The Wi-Fi was fast and we utilized it to stream music from my phone to a portable speaker that I brought, so it was very pleasant in the evening to sit and chat or read in the very comfortable living room area. One of the must do things in the area is to go to the Jost winery. It's a beautiful winery, it's less than half an hour away, and they have a wonderful tasting room and dining room for lunch. The cottage is only an hour away from Burntcoat and the tidal bore, which is another outing I highly recommend.
Our stay was stellar! Our 8 month old puppy learned to swim. The lake water is fresh and clear. The large front deck with big bbq, lakeside gazebo and dock make for a truly comfortable outdoor experience. Inside, the cottage is comfortable and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is fully equipped. The bathroom is modern and has a washer & dryer! We extended our stay an extra day…would have loved an extra week!
We enjoyed our week on this beautiful lake front property. The check in process was easy and communication with the owners was quick and efficient. We will definitely look to book this property next year for another family get away.
We have stayed twice at this cottage. It is in a lovely area on a fairly quiet lake. It is close to Tatamagouche so you can go to the farmers market or get groceries without having to drive too far. There is a heat pump that keeps most of the cottage cool. The cottage isn’t huge but the beautiful high ceilings and windows make it feel very spacious. The oven/stove top is propane so that took us a bit to get used to but Mark was very helpful. We will be back!
This was a lovely well kept property. We loved the hummingbird feeder with visitors
So peaceful and my 2 granddaughters loved the lake. We went to a nearby waterfall and beach. The perfect summer vacation
Great relaxing stay...the total cottage experience
We were looking for a quiet place to unwind for a week, with a lake and dock and cottage feeling. It delivered! Beautiful spot on Angevine lake. It was quiet all week and the perfect place to kick back and relax, and also close enough to the highway to do day trips throughout the rest of the province. The property is well maintained, including the grass which was cut for us just prior to our arrival. The instructions from the property manager and documents and notes at the cottage assured us of how to work everything and to let us know all the required procedures for opening up and closing down the cottage at the end of our stay. We'll be back!
Great property quite and peaceful room for the children to run, lake is warm for swimming. Hard to believe a week went so quick, wanted to stay longer will be looking to revisit the property.
Amazing stay - quiet, relaxing and great fun for the kids.

This is a cottage filled with fantastic memories with our 3 children swimming, fishing biking, hiking around the lake and skiing nearby at Wentworth. Our children are adults and this is one of their treasured places. We hope you love it too!
Why they chose this property
The property is private with everything you can think of for a true cottage experience. Loons calling, firepit for roasting marshmallows, swimming in the warm lake, room to roam and a cozy comfy living space for reading, playing board games and then....wind down at night in the gazebo and watch the sunset !
What makes this property unique
In 15 minutes you can be travelling between 3 different bodies of water - from Angevine Lake to the Wallace River and then to the Atlantic Ocean (even swim in the warm Northumberland Strait). In the winter, snowshoeing on the lake, skiing at Wentworth and riding all season on the 'Rails to Trails!
