Very good

Great place best suited to 1-2 guests and not 4. It feels like it was furnished by an interior designer, looks the part but it is a bit Tetris-like which is a challenge with more than 2 guests.
Excellent new decor made the stay at Glacier Lodge better
the newly refurbished 1 bedroom suite was a pleasant surprise after the negative reviews. Don't mind those reviews, this is a great rental for the price!
The unit met our expectations, the decor is very Whistler, that was important as we are longtime previous owners at Whistler. and it was convenient for our needs. Unit was nice and clean well stock for kitchen supplies. We couldn't figure out how to use the Nespresso machine, a bit disappointing. Pull out was pretty solid, a bit too solid for me. Check out at 10 was a push we made it by 11. Common areas of the Lodge could use an update. In all we were comfortable and enjoyed our short stay.
The unit is very well appointed and in a great location within the building as it is ground floor and you can step right out the back door to the hot tub and pool.
There's a liquor/beer store right in the building and a great little market right across the street.
Upper village has all the amenities but quieter than the main village. Walk to Whistler Village in less than ten minutes and the lift in 2 minutes.
Best overall location at Whistler!

Filthy and uncomfortable
We arrived at 7:30 PM and had a fairly smooth check in process. When we came into the unit I immediately starting sneezing. The dust and dirt was very visible. I wrote my name in the dust on the headboard. There was no dresser to store your clothing and the racks in the closet were broken, the metal clothing rod was so poorly installed it fell off and hit me in the head, This was a problem since our stay was 5 nights and we had all of our ski gear stuck
in our suitcases. The lighting in the bedroom was so poor it was impossible to see into our duffles so everything ended up in the living room. The blinds did not open so I got up on a footstool and untangled the cords, but there was still no improvement to the lighting. The TV remote was out of batteries so the channel could not be changed. There were long black hairs everywhere, in the shower, the kitchen and the bedroom. The bed had metal bars under the mattress that you felt through the mattress, so a poor nights sleep for sure x 5!
My husband misplaced his wallet and we looked under the bed and sofa to find it. There was so much dust and debris including baby bottles and unmentionables under both it’s no wonder I had allergy symptoms. If you don’t mind filth and lack of light then this is your place.
4.5 stars ⭐️ Great decorating and excellent location nearby Blackcomb base
Our family of 3 really enjoyed our stay in this unit. We really like the decorations and this unit is well equipped. The upkeeps are good. The ski equipment are kept in the rental shop and the underground parking is good too. 4.5 stars ⭐️

Filthy, overcharged many times.
My checkin process was really good. Had a really nice lady check me in and give me the guidelines.
Once I checked in, my wife found blood stained linens and pillow covers. She informed me it was probably period blood and went quickly to the front desk to inform of this. We were given new sheets. This seemed odd, as there is a very thorough list of things to do in order to maintain the place clean. There is also a cleaning fee that is charged.
The last days we had a water problem. Essentially there was not hot water in the bathroom. When we turned it on, we had hot water and where in the process of shampooing our 3 year old son. Once the water turned ICE COLD we were unable to restore it back to a decent temperature. We had to boil some water to rinse down the shampoo. I was offered a refund by her to take away my cleaning fee, which I accepted.
I contacted Sarah the owner of the property many times and was somewhat helped. This of course after many messages and heavy insisting on my part.
What drew the line for me was when I was charged TWICE for a cleaning fee. She said that the sofa was ruined BEYOND REPAIR...Later, and after messaging over and over she said that this was not our fault, and it was due to the sofa being so close to the heater. That management had blamed me, but that it was not my fault.
I have messaged her many times over, with no response what so ever, and have been charged $1,000.00 dollars for something the owner has said to me is not my fault. I have not been reimbursed 1 penny of this, let alone what she offered to have reimbursed from the cleaning fee.
My charge was made in two $500.00 installments, a few days apart, which is extremely odd. This is especially true considering that they were made many days after my checkout date.
I highly recommend people to be EXTREMELY CAUTIOUS with renting from this person, as it is highly unlikely you will be charged for things that are not your fault, and will have little to no conversation with the owner.
The space was beautifully designed, the location is perfect and bed was super comfy. Based solely on those things, this listing would have received a 5/5.
Unfortunately, there was a ton of long blonde hair and what seemed to be shorter possibly animals hair all over the couch and cushions. I spent about 30 mins cleaning it all off otherwise I wouldn’t have felt comfortable sitting on the couch.
We went out and bought cream for our coffee the next morning, but the nespresso or pods didn’t work. We even downloaded the instruction manual for it, followed the instructions to a T, and still nothing.
Lastly, and most importantly, I was sitting at the kitchen bar, in a towel eating my breakfast and housekeeping walked straight in at 10:15. Check out is 11. This was infuriating. No courtesy knock. Just walked straight in. We pay a substantial amount for a cleaning fee for staying one night and this is the service?? Very disappointing.
Everything was great with the property. Kitchen was well appointed with just about everything you could need (except a potato masher, which we borrowed from the restaurant attached - huge thanks to the friendly folks there). It was unseasonably warm in Whistler while we were there and the portable air conditioning unit did not do a great job of keeping up with the temp., but we battled through. The BBQ worked great. As we were there to visit our son, we really appreciated the kitchen and BBQ as we were there to treat him to Mom's home cooking!

Why they chose this property
Whistler has always been in my heart. Our family has been coming to the area for about 15 years for 5-6 months every winter. The timing was right to look at owning a condo in the area. When it isn't rented, we enjoy the use of it ourselves.
What makes this property unique
Terrific location in the heart of the upper village Minutes walk, snow shoe, bike or ski to the lower village. Miles of trails at your doorstep. Restuarants galore also minutes walk so once you arrive, you can park your vehicle and not see it again until you need to leave
