Every room had unique details that made it warm and inviting. We loved sitting on the porch in the evenings. We loved the coffee area in the morning. It was a very relaxing experience. Loved SMI. Will visit again
Cozy property with all the amenities we needed. Close to family in Sugar Run, easy to get to and near grocery store. Great fire pit and wonderful hosts.
House was wonderful. Stayed with my siblings and our families so having a bathroom to each room was great. Absolutely loved the stone porch and large fire pit. Everything we needed was there!
We loved our too brief stay at this wonderful property. Everything we needed was there. It was clean and charming. The living room could us a small love seat but we made it work.
The place was super lovely and my group had an amazing time here. As people of color, we were a bit uncomfortable with the area we were in, but Bonnie did not treat us like outsiders. Even Stoney (one of her dogs) paid us a visit just to play with us. I also loved the fact that we had no limits to how we partied other than respect the property of course. Do not hesitate to book this place, you won’t regret it!!!!
I had booked the Stone Mountain Inn for my brother's bachelor party weekend. It was absolutely amazing. We were all blown away at how amazing the inn looked. It was very nicely decorated, it had a very good energy that just made you feel right at home and the beds were so comfortable. The host left us strawberry cupcakes for our arrival and they were so delicious they only lasted a few minutes between the five of us. I think our groups favorite activity aside from going out to fish and enjoying the beautiful surroundings was just hanging out playing pool in the basement. We also had alot of fun playing fetch with the dogs that wondered over. Not one person in our group had anything negative to say about the inn, in fact some of us just didn't wanna to leave because it was so nice. I would highly recommend booking the Stone Mountain Inn to anyone and would gladly book the inn again for future trips.
Perfect place to get away from the city into a cozy secluded Inn. The house is huge and has everything that one can need for a vacation stay.
Bonnie was very helpful and went out if her way to accommodate any and all requests. We also got to meet and play with Stoney who is a bundle of energy and made the stay so much more enjoyable !!
Very unique and well planned design for this historic home. Every detail is covered and hosts couldn’t be more accommodating. Three couples spent Valentines Day and enjoyed great hospitality and accommodations. With snow storm coming we were assured check out was flexible to meet our travel needs. We were greeted with home made cookies and festive chocolate covered strawberries. Thank you Bonnie, Ed and Stoney their boarder collie . Hope to return and certainly highly recommend.
We stayed at the Stone Mountain Inn in early February for a weekend. It was my wife's birthday, and I was looking for a quiet, relaxing escape with our three children. The house was a charming home with a comfy, cozy feel. We spent the weekend resting, playing cards, billiards, and cooking. The house was super clean and had everything we were looking for. The kids didn't want to leave! Dealing with Bonnie was a pleasure. She answered any questions I had prior to booking, as well as during our stay. She even left snow sleds for my children to use in the field on the property. The kids had the time of their lives. Bonnie even went above and beyond when she found my son's winter hat that I had left behind. She immediately contacted me and shipped to me free of charge! That is true hospitality. I definitely recommend SMI for anyone looking to get away to a quiet escape during these crazy times.
Bonnie and Ed were extremely accommodating during our entire stay!! We had a great time tubing down the mountain and hiking in the area. The neighborhood cat and Bonnie and Ed's dog "Stoney" would come visit us at night which was a special treat!! We loved it!
A home away from home for the weekend. It was the perfect base location to enjoy our Fall Foliage vacation for 4 adults. Kitchen was very well stocked with cookware and appliances. Ed and Bonnie had the misfortune of a water line break just prior to our arrival. It did not affect our house, but it meant digging up the backyard for the repairs. They bent over backwards to return the area back to how it was supposed to be so we could enjoy our evenings by the fire pit. If you take pride in being responsible for another's property, and want a private wooded setting as your base for local traveling or to relax all day, this place is perfect. Ed and Bonnie are very personable, but not intrusive. We enjoyed our visits with them. Besides relaxing at the Inn after our back road driving to see the foliage, we also did The Olde Covered Wagon ride at the PA Grand Canyon. The hosts were great. It was a very enjoyable and educational experience. If our travels take us back to that area, we would definitely consider the Inn again.
Bonnie and her wonderful property saved our long planned friends weekend when our previously booked property was cancelled the night before check in. The place was terrific. It is extremely clean throughout and the bedrooms and bathrooms were fantastic. The outdoor fire pit (with tons of wood provided by the owners) was a huge hit. We loved the bar/billiards area as well. In fact we used practically every inch of the property over the weekend. The kitchen has everything you’d need for dining in and the property provided plenty of space for 4 couples. The Endless mountains region is beautiful has lots of outdoor activities if you are looking to hike, fish, kayak, etc. if you are looking to unplug and unwind you couldn’t ask for more than Bonnie’s place! She was very responsive and a great VRBO host!
Historical house rich of details and with a fully geared kitchen, plus an amazing outdoor area with fire pit and wood grill (including local wood) that we enjoyed for 3 full days. Bonnie is an excellent host, she made sure we were not missing anything and gave us advices for perfect hiking trails and meat for our grilling nights! I am already thinking to come back and explore more trails nearby the house and enjoying the warm relaxing atmosphere or this house. Highly recommended for adults and kids alike!
We enjoyed our stay at this property, also known as Stone Mountain Inn. We had the whole house to ourselves, which was outfitted with kitchen with plenty of dishes, 5 bedrooms each with their own bathrooms, and a nice common room. The owners clearly take their responsibilities seriously and were very helpful.
My friends and i came to celebrate my birthday. the place was lovely and we felt at home!. bonnie was very attentive . definitely will be coming back to stay at this lovely place 🤗
We stayed at SMI as a gathering for family to celebrate my son's 26th birthday - had a wonderful long weekend - enjoyed a local winery, some hiking in a NY state park, the local 3 sisters Farm Market, and some board games in the evening. Lovely weekend to get away from TV and social media. The inn keepers were lovely!
Everything was great. The property was as advertised. Ed and Bonnie were very nice and accommodating. The house had everything you needed and was very clean. We would certainly go back again.
Stone Mountain Inn was the perfect place for our weekend in the Endless Mountain/Towanda area. We used the whole house for a family get-together although I guess you can also rent just one or 2 bedrooms. The owners are wonderful-so welcoming! Everything we could possibly have needed was there. We loved walking the woods and fields for the views of the valley and river and especially loved having an outdoor fire pit at night! Highly recommend!!!
Beautiful place to stay, convenient to many sites of interest.

The place to be! Beautiful country, nice wineries and a great place to relax.
The Stone Mountain Inn is a great place!
We had a party of six for New Year's Eve, right away we enjoyed the beauty and charm of the house and the land. Almost every hour of our stay had us talking and thinking of an excuse to enjoy this land in the future, in every season.
Kudos to our hosts (Bonnie and Ed) who were not only attentive to our comforts, knowledgeable about the area, but they are very enjoyable people who felt like friends immediately.
Thank you so much for having us.

About the host
Hosted by Bonnie Strosser
Ed and Bonnie Strosser purchased this home and completely renovated it to what is now known as Stone Mountain Inn, which opened to the public in 2009.
Why they chose this property
The Inn was originally built by the Lundy family in the late 1800"s, and a picture and diary from the family is available for guests to read about life then. The Inn was restored using some original work keeping some of the authenticity of the original home. Ancestors of the Lundy family have toured the Inn providing more information on the original structure. The stone chimney in the common room was the made from the stone on the property and we fell in love with it upon first site, although the structure was completely stripped down and gutted. Bonnie's father was a stone mason and she has always loved the art of working with stone. Ed and Bonnie created a stone architectural retreat at Stone Mountain Inn for for all to enjoy from the stone porch with all its detail and arches to stone in the Billiards Room to other places inside and out.
What makes this property unique
The Inn is also host to an Art Gallery as Ed and Bonnie's work is throughout the place.
