Pretty mountain escape

Property was as advertised. The drive to get to the house from the highway is nicely paved and maintained, no gravel 1 lane roads that usually makes someone unaccustomed to mountain living uneasy. The drive from the highway to the house ,albeit nice is long and windy, takes about 15 minutes to get there from the highway. Only complaint i would have is that the bug control could be better. Killedd about 5 large spiders in the house and unfortunately the fireput outside was unuable as there were 3 wasps nests under the seats. My kid found this out for us the hard way by getting stung twice on his ankle maling us skip an enotee day of hiking due to the swelling. Wish the house had wasp spray in the garage or something. Ither than thay the house was perfect for oyr stay, pretty scenery and neighborhood for walks.

Beautiful location

The house is on a mountain with a beautiful view and is private. Bring bug spray or something to keep the mosquitos away to sit on the porch at night. It takes about 15-20 min from the beginning of the neighborhood to get to the house. It’s a long winding road. Be careful of the wasps outside they were bad! My daughter got stung twice. The beds were not very comfortable and they need new pillows ours were flat. There was garbage left in the garage that stunk but was picked up the next few days. There was plenty of space for all of us. The kitchen was stocked with all our needs.

Great Vacation Spot

This was our second stay at this house. We enjoyed it so much the first time we wanted to experience the area again in another season. While Christmas time was great because of all of the seasonal activities (polar express etc) we really enjoyed utilizing the lake swimming docks this time around. The house is nicely stocked with necessities for cooking and we enjoyed making a lot of our own meals while there. The ride up the mountain is pretty long and curvy but doesn’t bother us. I personally love how secluded the house is and being surrounded by nature.

Wonderful vacation

Wonderful spot for a relaxing nature rich vacation. If you are looking for a place to get away from it all, this is it. The roads are well maintained for such a secluded location. The view is beautiful!

Great Home with Beautiful View!

This house had most everything you could need in a home away from home! Very nicely set up. We enjoyed our stay here and even the 115+ turns in the road to get up to it became a fun ride. The view from the deck was BEAUTIFUL which is what we were looking for, even though we didn't spend a lot of time at the house. I would stay here again if coming to this area!

Beautiful property

What a nice Labor Day weekend we had in this lovely house. Plenty of space and privacy. Loved the deck and the view, firepit. We used the community marina/boat ramp to launch our kayaks into Lake Fontana. Had a great day. Also went to NOC right up road and rafted the Nanty. Fun was had by all. The only issue we had was with the front door. We had trouble locking and opening it. Could have been operator error? I’m not sure!

Amazing!

The view from the deck was absolutely amazing, even on a less than sunny day. The house was very clean. It was the perfect layout for our trip with one bedroom on each floor and each bed had it's own bath. We visited in our sports cars so we highly enjoyed the curvy mountain road to get to/from the house and appreciated the use of the garage. Would most definitely return. I bet the view is even more spectacular in the fall.

Stunning view

This house was perfect for us: two couples with Mazda Miatas (convertible sporty cars) visiting to drive the Tail of the Dragon and other fun curvy hill roads. Therefore, the road just to get to the house was awesome for us and use of the garage was amazing. We had a great stay. The view from the deck was stunning, even on a cloudy/rainy day when we enjoyed a fire in the living room fireplace. The layout of the house, with one bed on each floor and each bed having it's own bathroom was ideal. There was one day when the internet was down - the contact responded immediately and monitored until it was restored. We would most definitely return.

Mountain cabin

Great property manager and good communications for get code and keyless entry. Mountain road to get to the house was a little bit scary, unlit curvy lane and a half 6 mile mountain road with off and on GOS made finding it a little tricky. Suggest getting there in the daylight. House was great.

Couples Mountain Getaway

This was a nice cottage/cabin with beautiful views! Location was great, really like the three levels with 3 bedroom/bathrooms on each. All rooms have very comfortable KING beds which was great! We did encounter some wasps in the home and too many leaves on the patios/fire pit area. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

Captivating View

We decided to rent this VRBO for our trip to Bryson City. It was very centrally located. We went to Cherokee, Bryson City, Sylvia, Asheville. We had a couple of older ladies with us and our stay was perfect for them since there is a bedroom on the main floor. The mountain road to the house was a little long, but we couldn’t have asked for a better stay! I would definitely recommend this one.

4th Annual Sibling trip

A beautiful place. Nice and quiet. Make sure you arrive before dark. There are a lot of driveways that are hidden and if not familiar with the roads it is a little difficult. Highly recommend this beautiful place. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Family Trip

The view was incredible. There are 3 king sized beds, each with their own bathrooms making it very comfortable for 3 couples. We enjoyed the lake access and going to Bryson City for dinner. There is another rental home very close to this property but it appeared empty while we were there so no problems with noise. Overall, we were very satisfied with the experience.

A/C out the entire stay

I requested a full refund as they did not get anyone out to repair throughout the stay. I ended up going to Vrob, Evolve, and the owner. In the end, I was refunded less than 1/2 of what I paid. Pitiful. When I informed the owner he said to me "Ma'am, I don't know how much you know about the mountains but people here work when they feel like it." THAT is why no one could look at the units!

Great views

House could have been cleaner. We had to deal with workers disturbing a hornets nest on the day prior to leaving. Luckily no one was stung but we did stay inside. Apparently the hornets are making another home below the upper deck. Besides that the views were great! The forth echoed thru the mountains! We even enjoyed grilling and the fire pit even though it was very warm out.

Awesome getaway house!!

We loved this house! It was very clean and extremely well stocked. Worked great for hosting family. It was central to many fun things including hiking, the Great Smoky Mountain Nat'l Park, rafting, rivers, Fontana Lake and Bryson City. We highly recommend this house. It's also nice to have a separate living area in the basement for those who want to get some quiet. Great view off the back deck.

Beautiful mountain setting

This mountain house was perfect for our family. Had there been snow or ice we would not have made it up “the long and winding road” as we named it! Weather was great thankfully and location made it perfect for us to ride the train in Bryson City. Great fire pit and grill. House could have been a little cleaner to our liking but overall a great experience!
