The Space:
Welcome to your tranquil oasis in the heart of lively Taupō!
This sunny, modern home sleeps up to 4 guests, offering a serene retreat. and provides the perfect spot to relax and unwind. Enjoy ultimate comfort with a heat pump/aircon in each bedroom and the living area.
Unwind in the two bedrooms on the ground floor, featuring a queen and a king bed, both serviced with one bathroom with a shower and a bath to relax after a day of adventures and a separate toilet for added convenience.
Upstairs, you will find the living area and a fully equipped kitchen where you can whip up culinary delights. Step onto the small deck for sunlight-filled moments or relax indoors with unlimited Wi-Fi and a Smart TV.
Park with ease with free off-street parking or the secure single garage.
If you are attending one of Taupo’s many Events, Trilby Cottage is a great central base. The start and finish line of most big sporting events (i.e. Ironman, Taupo marathon, Cycle challenge) is only 2 km from the property.

The Neighborhood:
This house is in a perfect location; walking distance to the lake and the ‘Mole and Chicken’, ‘Social Club’ and ‘Jolly Goodfellows’ restaurants.
You can enjoy the lakeside walk to the town centre. It’s also a quick drive or walk to the nearest Foursquare Supermarket. On Sunday you’re merely blocks away from the weekly market.
If you are coming to one of Taupō’s sporting events, this house is in the perfect location as the racecourse of most big events (Ironman, Taupo Marathon, and Cycle Challenge) is only one block away so your supporters can easily take breaks while cheering you on. The Tongariro North Domain, where most races start and end, is only a quick drive away.
Other Things to Note:
Breakfast items are not provided but there is plenty of tea, coffee, and basic cooking necessities such as salt, pepper, and oil.
When booking, please advise how many beds you require, and we will prepare that quantity for you. The king bed could be converted into two singles if required and requested on your booking.
The house isn’t suitable for toddlers or children under 12, but happy to accommodate babies. A cot and highchair can be made available on request, but please enquire prior to booking (bedding for the cot is not provided).
For the sake of our neighbours, noise must be kept indoors and to a minimum after 10pm. There are strict no parties, smoking or pets rules in all Be My Guest properties.
If you are booking this property on a platform other than Airbnb, an authorisation hold is required. This hold will be captured as a ‘preauthorisation of funds’ from your payment card, prior to arrival and will be auto released 2 days from check-out, so long as no damage or costs have been incurred. The 'hold' for this property is $250.
All Be My Guest linen comes from our professional linen supplier. It is thermally disinfected at temperatures high enough to eliminate germs and risks such as Covid-19. In order to keep the linen costs for your stay economical, we do not provide face cloths.
Interaction with Guests:
We have an electric door lock and will provide the pin number three days before your check-in date.
If you need anything during your stay, please contact us through the app during regular business hours. If you have an emergency after hours, please call our after-hours number (number will be send with check-in instructions). Please ring, do not text as texts are not monitored.
