Montana Recreation Retreat on Flathead River Close to Glacier National Park

Residing just outside of Columbia Falls and on the east side of the Flathead River, the River View Retreat is ideally located within minutes driving distance (16.5 Miles) to the West entrance of Glacier National Park, the ever popular resort town of Whitefish and (8.5 miles) Glacier Park International Airport (FCA). Sitting on 1 acre with a gratuitous back yard and over 100 feet of river front this property has ample room for friends and family. The home features a 2,300 square foot ranch floor plan with generous kitchen and great room, 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths and rear attached deck which can be accessed from the Primary bedroom and the kitchen. Two main bedrooms furnish king beds and queens are furnished in the additional bedrooms. Enjoy the river view from a vaulted ceiling great room accentuated by a multitude of picture windows. Feel right at home with a fully functional kitchen providing abundant cabinet and counter space for storage and preparations. An island, a table with seating for eight and a patio door with a view of the Flathead River provides a fine setting for entertaining. Other amenities include washer and dryer, gas grill and a two car garage.

In Montana, frosty temps and falling snow usher in an action-packed season of wintery fun and adventure. You can ski or snowboard at one of the areas 2 ski resorts. Not a downhill skier? No problem! With snowmobiling, snowshoeing, dog sledding, cross-country skiing, ice fishing and more, there's something for everyone who wants to play in the snow. The snow can arrive as early as October and can linger through May. Montana offers one of the longest winter season in the lower 48 states to skate, schuss, glide and soar.

Beautiful riverside home
This is a great property with beautiful river views. Great location near Glacier NP and close to restaurants and grocery. We especially enjoyed relaxing by the fire after a long day of hiking.

Amazing house on the Flathead River
This is probably the best VRBO we have ever stayed in and we stay in a lot! Everyone loved the location, the views, the stocked kitchen, and the proximity to grocery and restaurants. Our group loves to cook and found everything we needed. our house were extremely responsive and the information book and labeling around the house Extremely helpful. The beds were super comfortable and the master tub big enough to soak in! We absolutely loved our time there.

What a wonderful house!! We were a family of 7 and one baby. First time to Glacier and Jeff and Kelly’s place was perfect. The location worked out well for going to the park, town and Flat Head Lake. The home kitchen was well equipped, comfy beds and the fire pit near the river made for a perfect evening at the end of the day. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful property! The house was perfect for our family. Very comfortable and large with a deck on the back. The large backyard was adjacent to the Flathead River. We ate on the deck, played frisbee in the backyard and threw rocks in the river. Easy access to GNP. Centrally located!

This property is a perfect location for visiting Glacier went to Lake McDonald, Going Sun Road, Two Medicine, Many Glacier, St Mary’s. The amenities are awesome, everything you need when staying away from home. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful Stay at Riverview
This was only our 2nd stay at a rental property and the experience was excellent. The property was so clean and uncluttered and decorated so nicely. It was so conducive for relaxation after busy days hiking and exploring Glacier. The layout was perfect for our two families. The great room was wonderful for relaxing and recapping the day! Great place to stay
We had 2 families stay here (total of 7 people). The location worked out well for us to go to Glacier National Park during the day. Table was large enough for all of us to eat together. The owner had let us know ahead of time that we would need road reservations to get into the park, that information was very helpful since the reservations were all gone within the first half hour (maybe even first 10 minutes) after they opened up a few months ahead of the reservation time.

Family Trip from northern Illinois
First time any of us visited Glacier NP. Ages ranged from 6 to 75. We all had a great time hiking, boat rides, rafting, horseback riding, etc. The accommodations met all our needs, even coolers and ice blocks we could use. It was the best equipped rental any of us had every stayed at. We loved that we could park our two cars in the garage. We typically would head to the park before sunrise and this made loading up everything we needed for the day much easier.

Spacious, riverfront house
This was a great property; spacious house with a large backyard, and a firepit next to the river. Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of bathrooms. About 20 minutes to the west entrance of Glacier National Park and close to gas, food, and everything we needed. We had a great time, and the host promptly texted back when I had questions. Perfect Retreat

My family has been blessed to live in Columbia Falls, Montana since 2008. It has been an amazing place to raise a family of five. We cannot think of a better place enjoy the outdoors. If we are not rafting the rivers and paddle boarding the lakes you will find us whipping up some special cuisine in our kitchen.

Why they chose this property

Location, Location, Location! We wanted to provide guest with another location option that was more central in the Flathead Valley. We were pleased to find this four bedroom four bathroom spacious home conveniently located on Flathead River across from the Teakettle River boat access. The central location allows guest to take advantage of all there is to offer in the Flathead Valley and Glacier National Park.
This freshly painted, newly furnished home has many amenities to make a vacation stay relaxing.
