This was our second year here, we had such a good experience the first time we re-booked as soon as we got home. Excellent hosts, great communication, everything thought of, and a very well laid out and comfortable cottage. The lake is stunning and the trails in the area only a few minutes away. We'll be back again!
We have been renting cottages on these lakes for years and really enjoyed our stay at this island cottage. The views were amazing, there was more than enough space for our family and the cottage was spotless when we got there. The owners were easy to get a hold of and very responsive when answering questions. We loved eating outside on the big deck. We also really enjoyed the floating lounge right off the dock. We would rebook again for sure!
Five 17yr old girls and a Mom chaperone/cook at a beautiful cottage on a beautiful island. And one of the Dads on shore driving and loading makes 7 thumbs up, all very pleased. Great location and amenities. A very short easy boat ride from an ample parking lot. Plenty of watercraft and as an added bonus a very friendly neighbour black lab that loves playing fetch. Highly recommend.
We had a great time at this cottage. The setting is amazing, the lake is wonderful, and the water activities are great. The host is very easy to communicate with, responds quickly, and is helpful. Great fishing off the dock, swimming, small islands to explore, paddle boarding and just enjoying the outdoors.
The cottage was a bit in the middle of a renovation and it felt a little like we had taken over someone’s personal space. The bunkie is better for daytime use than as an extra bedroom.
Of note you must bring your own drinking water.
Great trip, good times, very relaxing, and it’s easy to get to the mainland on the canoe or paddle board or pedal boat.
We had a great time staying here, the cottage was very clean and beautiful. There was enough room for the seven of us. The cottage plus the boat house I would recommend going to this cottage if you want to be in a secluded and quiet cottage. Many activities to do such as paddle boarding, pedal boat, swimming and of course fishing. The host made us feel at home during our stay. 1 thing I would say is read the details as you need to ride a boat to get over the cottage. I would definitely be coming back
My friends and I stayed here because of its proximity to local trails. The hosts were amazing, accommodating and easy to contact. Beautiful quiet lake, and very comfortable and well set up accomodations. We'll be back!
Beautiful lakefront property for those who value privacy and quiet.
We really enjoyed our stay here, great views of the lake and serene privacy. Renters ought to be aware, however, that the composting toilet and shower are in a separate building, behind the cottage. This wasn't a negative for us as it contributes to the cottagey vibe, but it should be clear in the listing. Also, the cottage has a woodstove for heat, which we really enjoyed, but we had to forage for kindling to light it. Overall a great experience. Note also, that VRBO's map of the location was not correct; it sent us about 5 KM out of our way, to a boat landing farther north on the lake.
