This beautiful big house (wheelchair accessible) is located in front of Lac Castor beach and near the Papineau Labelle wildlife reserve. The sandy beach of Lac Castor is a 2-minute walk away and often isolated. You can see the lake from the front of the house, hear the rapids from the side of the house, and see the 15 acre forest leading down to a small waterfall. A large campfire above a starry sky makes this home perfect for hosting large groups. Inside the house, there are large living areas, 5 bedrooms which only one of the bedrooms with the 2 twin beds is in an open area, 2 bathrooms and fully equipped to accommodatei a maximum of 18 people. A large balcony surrounds the house which includes a swing and a barbecue. There is an ice rink or soccer field behind the house. The village of La Minerve is 15 minutes from the house. Mont Tremblant is 51 km from the chalet and the P’tit Train du Nord bike path is 32 km away. The Quebec National Hiking Trail (footpath) is 7 km from the house via Chemin Marie-Lefranc.

Merci Lynn.
Of all the many stays I've ever done, Lynn has been the best host yet. We brought our Student Association team out to her country house for a weekend trip and had an amazing time bonding as a team. Lynn provided everything you could think you would need, the location is amazing (lake, campfires, drinking water), and she was super responsive both over VRBO and in-person.
The team is already considering their retreat next year at Lynn's country house, and I would definitely recommend anyone in large groups to stay with Lynn!
I had a memorable New Years Eve event with friends at Lynn's home. She was accommodating and understanding with everything we requested. My favourite perks were the long overhead balcony with lights and the 15 acres of private, nature bustling land.
Lynn is an awesome host, very welcoming and flexible. We had a great time there and each and everyone was happy and satisfied. Perfect place in all aspects. I recommend to everyone.
Really great if you want to share a place with a large group. We were just 5 of us because of pandemic complications. I would definitely rent again especially with a second and possible third family. Mattresses were comfortable but the pillows need a serious upgrade. A lot of open space on the main floor. A big front porch and back yard space would make a summer trip enjoyable too. We used the ice rink in the back but the ice needed some flooding. The Host was very upfront about everything. Very responsive and communication was excellent. The location is down a remote road which is good and bad. Great if you want to be away from the masses. Probably a bit nerve racking driving for many, especially in winter and at night. For people who live in rural settings, not a surprise but for those who only drive on well salted city streets, beware.
