All you need for a short stay near wineries, hikes and lake activities.
Very attractive, private and comfortable retreat with thoughtful special touches like delicious muffins!
Cindy and Kevin are wonderful hosts. Welcoming and kind while still giving us lots of privacy and space to do our own thing and hang out with the chickens, the dog, the cat and their garden whenever we wanted (which we really loved to be able to do). The suite is comfortable, clean, and they left us lots of little treats to make us feel at home. Shawnigan Lake and surroundings are really gorgeous. A great place to unplug, unwind and relax.
Enjoyed our very short stay. A cozy little room with well appointed amenities...The bed was heavenly and the little extras were adorable! Thanks for a great stay!

I stayed here for a few nights and was really impressed with the property. Very clean, comfortable, and quiet. I met one of the owners on my last night and Kevin was very gracious and we had a fantastic chat for a bit. They were very accommodating to my early check in request which made the logistics of my trip that much easier - thanks again! I would absolutely stay here again if I need to.
The owners have done an excellent job of preparing a small space in an efficient manner with good quality accessories and decor. The bed was very comfortable, and the neighborhood is extremely quiet. If we're ever in this neighborhood again, we would certainly consider staying here.
We enjoyed the location and found the room comfortable. We had our coffee outside which was perfect with the warm weather. The place is very clean and the room is small but has everything you need. Thank you for the homemade soap. Ron and Joan Salmon Arm, BC
Very clean comfortable. The bed was amazing. Homemade lemon biscotti and a lemon muffin were left for me, along with a fruit plate and cold water. Bathroom very nice. Handmade soap was left as a gift as well. Very nice hosts as well. Five stars for comfort.
Extremely clean and quiet for sleeping. Mini Kitchen was perfect. Host made scones and muffins for our morning coffee on our mini patio. One would never know she had chickens. They were clean and quiet. Her little puppy and cat made our mornings feel like home. This was a wonderful little property with a great price.

Cute little room. Very clean, busy decor and quaint. Kevin was very helpful when we arrived.
The coffee shop around the corner is a Must Stop. Drew and his wife are a wonderful couple who own and operate the Shawnigan House coffee shop. They we’re a wealth of information and helpfulness.
My sister(from Port Alice) & myself(Kamloops) needed a place to stay as our niece was getting married in Shawinigan Lk. I researched & liked the quaintness & location of the VRBO. This was a small unit & suited as just fine. FYI. No large appliances. Small bar fridge, microwave & coffee maker. Fresh fruit, home-made muffins(yummy) & coffee pods. Huge bed! Good size shower. Loved the decor! We sat on our chairs outside with our coffee, very relaxing. And they have the cutest scotty dog!
Such a cute and comfortable place to perch. The room is quiet at the back of a house - the view is out onto the chicken run! Easy parking in front of the house. Easy downhill walk to Shawnigan Village (not so easy back up but hey, its a hill)
The room is really nicely set up with many thoughtful touches. There is a simple kitchen area with basic supplies, and there is milk and muffins in the fridge for a simple breakfast when you want it. Fruit and cookies are there, too.
Everything is spotlessly clean. Lots of cute decorative touches. The bed is comfortable and there is an assortment of pillows .
The area is lovely and there is lots to see and do - lots of places to eat, too. The village is small - this is not a place for hustle and bustle and nightlife. But if you are looking for a quiet retreat with nice walks, a lake to enjoy, easy access to everything, and a comfortable place to return to - this is it!
Great stay. Lovely property and beautiful location. Easy to find. Loved the chickens! Would totally be back. 😊 thanks for having us!! More details (and a few critiques) below, but overall it was one of the highlights of our island trip and we would recommend it to everyone looking for a quiet cozy cabin-feeling getaway.
Hosts were away while we were there, so communication with them was poor during our stay (but really good leading up to it).
We felt very welcomed and loved all of the little treats and the homemade soap!!! Such nice surprises!!! It was perfect for our getaway.
Room was clean and very cute. We felt very comfortable. The kitchenette was great. I only wish there were less knickknacks around as I found myself moving a lot of the stuff to a corner to allow for needed space.
The fridge stopped working halfway through our 2 night stay, and the wifi was patchy (we ended up just using our data).
