Nature’s influence runs freely throughout this substantial modern four-bedroom Mornington Peninsula home. Outdoor living is irresistible in this farm setting with pool and spa overlooking an incredible green outlook.
The Red Hill location is of course appealing in itself; it’s an hour’s drive from Melbourne and surrounded by boutique wineries, orchards, eateries and galleries.
Allambee at Red Hill rises out of the rural landscape and invites you to hit the re-set button. Breathe in the fresh air and the commanding views while you make your way over the boardwalk and through the elegant stone entrance. Architecturally, the cantilevered roof, floor-to-ceiling glazing, high timber-lined ceiling and stone walls are major features. The colours and materials in the open plan kitchen, dining and living zones are drawn from the surrounding landscape and are timeless yet luxurious. A mix of stone, timber, concrete, leather and earthy neutrals are well utilized while eye-catching lighting highlights those features.
The rugged stone wall, freestanding fireplace and leather lounges lure you into the living room while the dining zone enjoys plenty of space with both areas connecting seamlessly with the verandah. The timber-lined ceiling stretches out to the full-length verandah, the ideal vantage point to sit a while and admire this private farm setting from the lush green trees and paddocks to the dam and cattle. Guests can also enjoy exploring the property’s vegetable gardens, where they can pick fresh herbs and veggies to elevate their meals.
